The sweet chirp of birds woke me up. The best nights sleep I've had in a while. I think I've slept for the whole town, everyone I've talked to says that they haven't been able to get to sleep. The fear of what's outside keeps them from closing their eyes at night.

"Good Morning sleepy head." Josh greets me with a quick hug before sitting down on one side of the booth. We're at our favourite coffee house. I'm not a coffee person, but a hot chocolate in the morning does the trick.

"So, Josh... i was... well,"

"Cat got your tongue?" Laughing at his own rubbish jokes was one of the things I liked. They might be terrible, but at least he tries. There isn't an easy way to ask what I'm about to ask.

"Who found me?" There's a silence opposite the booth. It feels like the whole shop goes quiet as Josh gulps.

"I'm not sure, I think it was that guy we saw at the fish and chip shop last night. A saw him leaving your hospital room. I just though he was a friend of the family or something."

"What happened last night after I fell asleep in the car?"

"Well he said that you knew each other and that he was an old friend. He helped me take you home and then he walked home."

It seemed so weird, and a bit frightening that some stranger could lie so easily about so much. I remember what I saw last night, my flashback. It was that night. And I do know that guy.

"Allison? You okay?"

"Yeah, thanks Josh."

"So you do know him?"

"Oh...yeah, yeah I do."

I don't know why I lied, but I couldn't tell anyone what I remembered, not even Josh. They're all in danger if they know. Everyone wants me to remember so badly, I don't know how far they are willing to go to get it out of me. Maybe the man that I saw in my flashback was that guy, and he's trying to get rid of any evidence tracing him back to the crime? If I'm right, none of us are safe anymore, not that we were really safe to begin with honestly. This town is so crazy.
