Prologue: The Denouement Legacy
Some people know about the Denouement Family legacy, but what the majority of people don't know, is that my father, Dewey was never supposed to become the third headmaster of Denouement High. The school was built in the early 1940s during the beginning of World War II, my great grandfather invested thousands of dollars into the school, and when construction was complete, he became the first headmaster.
But, it didn't become a private school until my grandfather, William Denouement II, added the strict standards and the dark green and black uniforms. After Prufrock Preparatory School went bankrupt and shut down, Denouement High became one of the most exclusive schools in the country, and only the rich and elite could get into the school.
Traditionally, the position of headmaster was passed down to the eldest son, so my father would've become headmaster if something were to happen to my Uncles Frank and Ernest. A few months before my grandfather's death, Uncle Frank moved to London to start a new life with his wife and two sons, and Uncle Ernest was in prison for Fraud and Robbery.
After his death, the position was passed down to my father. Because my family followed traditional guidelines, after my father died, the title would be passed down to the next generation. But, this time things would be different, my father had no sons, only two daughters.
Who am I, you may ask? I'm Dusk, Dewey Denouement's eldest daughter.
