I'm going to tell you about why I chose this cover. As you can see as this chapter's picture.

        What might just seem like a simple mug with steam rising from it. Is really so much more. At first I didn't even know what caught my attention about this picture. Something just did, and I knew it had to be the cover for this book.

        As I got to thinking about it though. I began to understand. God had actually led me straight to this picture. Here's why....

        Have you ever had a cup of coffee or hot cocoa and watched the steam rising from it? Well the steam always rises upwards. Much like our praise, worship, and everything should be going upward to God from our heart. The cup symbolizies you and me. We are the cup. When a person is cold or even lukewarm, "steam" doesn't rise from that cup.

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

(Revelation 3:15-16)

        But the story doesn't have to end there. Just because there's not "steam" coming up from your cup, doesn't mean that God is going to give up on you. Let's read a little farther...

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
