2 Days Later

After we all returned to Ethora, we rested up before deciding to visit Planet Zage to see Malachi and Valentine. Of course, we got dressed up before we left, to be formal.

Taeyong, Lucas, and Jungwoo went with the seven of us, just like our first visit. Suko wanted to come to, so we let her tag along.

And to our surprise, when we arrived, we weren't just greeted by Malachi and Valentine, but we were also greeted by the other two former Dragoons that we spared!

"Welcome back comrades"

Malachi smiled, while Valentine and the other two waved.

"Bagai! Kahn! It's been so long~!"

Suko cheered, hugging them both.

"You guys were friends?!"

Mark asked.

"Mhm~. The three of us bonded since we were forced to be in The Dragoons~"

"I'm Kahn. It's a pleasure to properly meet you"

The wolf bowed.

"Bagai..."

The other mumbled whilst waving at us.

"Sorry about him... He doesn't usually say much beyond a singular word at a time"

Suko apologized.

"That's fine~. By the way, do you know what type of creature he is?"

I asked.

"Unfortunately no. None of The Dragoons knew. Bagai doesn't even know what he is. But he does know that he's a mix of multiple creatures"

"I think I can figure it out"

Jisung alarmed us.

"Are you sure Jisung?"

"Yeah. I've been studying just about everything about different creatures in different worlds. It shouldn't be too hard"

Jisung proceeded to examine him from head to toe.

Within a couple minutes, he had already come to a conclusion.

"He's a hybrid mutant. To be more specific he's a mix between an Axolotl, an Anemone, a Red Eyed Tree Frog, String Seaweed, and a pre-made bionic humanoid body"

Everyone was brought to silence by his spot on analysis.

"See? His eyes are red, and the tips of his hands and feet are webbed because of the frog. These stringy attachments hanging off of him are from the seaweed. The Anemone gave him his long arms and legs, as well as his enhanced flexibility. His body is smooth and a little slimy because of the Axolotl. And the rest of his body was already made before the mutation happened. The screen that he has for a face, as well as the stitches, mechanical parts, and the hat stitched to his head are key factors that his body is bionic"

Jisung explained.

"Thank.... You...."

Bagai thanked Jisung, and happily shook his hand.

He looks really happy to finally know what he is.

"So, what are you guys doing here anyway?"

Suko questioned.

"Malachi informed us that you guys would show up here today. So we came here to thank you in person for saving our world~"

Kahn answered, and Bagai nodded.

"We all wanted to thank you personally for all of your hard work. So, I helped Malachi make this present for you"

Valentine stepped forward, and handed me the present they made.

"What is it???"

Chenle curiously asked.

"It's a Phantom Barrier~!"

Jaemin excitedly shrieked.

"Correct. You place this at the very top floor of your home, in the center of the floor. Once it's activated, it puts up an impenetrable barrier around its designated area. If anyone tries to force their way through it, it releases illusions on them. Illusions so powerful, that they can outweigh reality"

"I get it. So, the illusions it releases makes that certain person hallucinate so bad that it actually becomes a part of their reality"

Jeno analyzed, and Malachi smiled.

"Precisely. Those illusions can also cause harm or death to that particular person. And the illusions are different for each person, usually depending on things that specific person is afraid of, such as paranoias"

"An even more powerful version of my power..."

Chenle mumbled, looking down at his hands.

I gently pat his shoulder, so that he wouldn't become insecure.

"Oh. One more thing. It can only be used one time. Once it's served its purpose, it'll explode, only destroying itself. Only use it in an extremely dire situation"

"But what if we end up needing it more than once?"

Taeyong questioned.

"Worry not. We're currently in the process of making more, some like this one, others with different defense mechanisms. We wanted you to have the first one we made, and we'll continue to supply more of them to you if you're ever in need of one"

Valentine smiled.

"That's really nice of you~"

"Yeah~. Thanks so much~"

Jungwoo and Lucas thanked them.

"Would you all like to come in and stay a while~? There are plenty of refreshments inside~"

Khan eagerly questioned.

"We'd love to, but we don't want to intrude. You've got a ball going on right now right?"

Jisung inquired, but Malachi shook his head with a smile.

"Not today. We reserved this day just for all of you. You can hang around in the ballroom for as long as you'd like. You just let us know if you need anything"

The four of them walked off after his explanation.

"Well what are we all standing around for~? Let's head on in~"

Donghyuck happily skipped away, with us following behind him.

I'm glad that we were able to become friends with Malachi and the others. They've gone out of their way to do this for us, and gifted us a very powerful defense gadget in the process.

For now, we'll stay and enjoy the refreshments and company. But, we have another place to head to afterwards, before it gets too late.

I hope the people were going to see will be surprised, and especially happy, to see us. But, I also hope they'll treat me the same way they did before I saved the worlds.

As their ally, not as hero royalty.
