"You're gonna win Yang~"

"I'll do my best~"

YangYang and I were in the Game Room, and he was playing Undertale.

He's been playing the Genocide Route for a while, and he just made it through the first attack unscathed in his battle against Sans.

I continued to cheer him on as he played, and so far he's taken no hits~.

Soon, he reached the point where Sans was sparing him.

"Should I spare him too hyung?"

He asked for my opinion.

"Not at all. I've seen it before when I fought him. If you spare him, he'll kill you straight away. Bones will rise from the bottom of the Bullet Board. There's no safe spot to escape it. You'll just end up inevitably dying"

"Wow! Sans is really intense! Well alright then, I won't spare him~!"

"Just be prepared for the random attacks that come after you choose to fight him~"

"Got it~!"

He continued to play without taking any damage, unlike me when I played it.

"Hey hyung. Do you sometimes feel scared about not being able to win a battle?"

He suddenly questioned, still focusing on the screen.

"Sure. Even though I've been fighting for a while now, I still get a little scared when fights get tough. Do you get scared?"

"All the time, especially that day when you guys got kidnapped"

"But, you looked so excited to fight something that day"

"I was, but I knew we couldn't take down something that big from afar. I wanted to stop you guys from going inside it, but I had to stick to the plan. That's when I started getting scared. And when you all got captured and teleported away, I was terrified. I knew we couldn't win, it was impossible..."

He continued to play, still getting past Sans's attacks unscathed.

For someone like YangYang to be scared, I thought that'd be impossible. He's got a lot of spunk, and he's the type of kid that laughs in the face of danger.

I never knew that he was so worried about us that day...

"Yang. You can do anything you set your mind to, even if it seems impossible. Everyone becomes scared when things get rough, but you have to own that fear to get where you're trying to go. Remember that"

I encouraged him.

He stopped fighting Sans for a moment. He was at the turn where he unleashes his final attacks.

"So... You really think I can do this hyung...?"

"Of course I do~. This is you we're talking about~. Look fear in the eye, and own it to get what you want~, even if it's just getting past Sans~"

"R-Right!"

He smiled, and proceeded to attack him.

Sans unleashed his furious barrage of his final random attacks, and Yang got past all of them unscathed.

He even got past the massive army of Gaster Blasters, unscathed~!

"Yang! You did it! That was his final attack~!"

I cheered and he celebrated with me.

"Holy shit! I did it~! Thank you so much for believing in me hyung~!"

He immediately hugged me, holding my tightly.

I returned the hug and gently pet his head.

"Remember this feeling Yang. It'll encourage you to face anything that comes your way~. I know you'll win, no matter what~"
