Hey guys I'm back sorry for this but I can't handle everything so I'm going to give slow updates.

I'll try to make time and motivation for it. Let's see how my luck support me 🤗

Title is inspired by Mikan_Kurenai "Sweeter Than Cake" but it's completely a different story LoL XD I only pick the title from it 🤠

So first of all I'm saying that I'm gonna change the map a little bit. Ya this story is starting place is Japan.

Kiyose City of Tokyo gonna be the most important part and describable place here. I wanna use all the best places of here.

So I'm gonna change the map of some places cause it's my story so I'm gonna make Kiyose City a whole one, though it's big but I'm gonna use the whole places of it. So enjoy 😃

Third Person's POV

Christmas Eve Celebration, Kiyose City, Tokyo, Japan

Light little white snowflakes falling from the sky that covered by the grey clouds.

People are wondering if they're going to see the evening star of the Christmas Eve tonight.

Kiyose City is mainly covered by upcoming Christmas light. People are busy in decoration for this special day and some are busy for buying gifts for their loved people, friends and family.

After all it's December and when Christmas will left the City it'll be covered by the white carpet of heavy snowfall so before New Year all are excited to celebrate the occasion incredibly.

In the middle of the City is a central park that looked quiet but the main road full with lights...

Here our little Yuri and Kanade also not apart of this special occasion. They're also very hyped for celebrating Christmas with their families.

... At Yuri's Apartment...

"Yaaay finally our room decorating done, ya I'm so glad this year I'm not alone, I'm gonna celebrate Christmas with my best friend", Yuri smiled cheerfully finishing her apartment room decorating for Christmas. She picked up a thing and placed it in front of Christmas tree.

"Mama, Papa how our family photo looking? I've set this right in front of the Christmas tree. I hope Santa will see us and give us gift right?", Little Yuri asked her parents. Her mother and father smiled at her words.

"Sure Santa will see us", Mr and Mrs Aoi smiled together all looked at their family photo.

They've taken it at two years ago in a sunflower field when Yuri was just 3 years old. They're a small happy family living in peace.

Yuri Aoi is the one and only daughter of Mr Hiroshi Aoi and his wife Mrs Mahiru Aoi. Mr Hiroshi Aoi means Yuri's dad has dark blue eyes and black straight hair.

In other hand Mrs Mahiru Aoi means Yuri's mom has hazelnut brown eyes and brown hair, no doubt Yuri has a perfect combination with their parents.

Mr Aoi works in Office and Mrs Aoi is completely housewife so she she spent her free times as a piano teacher, teaching piano to the Kiyose City Primary school where Yuri and Kanade also in. Yuri really loves music and playing piano.

Yuri is also learning piano and her mother is the best teacher she got. she really enjoys it while they play together when the apartment comes to quite relaxing environment.

In the 5th floor apartment, they live in 2nd floor, south-east opened so they didn't get so much problem as long as the neighbors are polite.

They felt happiness though it was better if they have their own house. The owner of the apartment Lady May Lee lives in the ground floor last room A-7.

She is the closest one who gives Yuri the most affection and said her to call her Aunt May.

Actually she'd the ownership of the whole land in where the apartment stood in so the people who lives in it look up to her like that.

Like every year she loves to decorate along with her father and mother. But this year something new happened, Kanade's family invited them for celebrating the Christmas on the Kosaka residents along with their family and Yuri's parents gladly accepted cause they're only left 3 as well as the other years to celebrate alone.

So the Aoi family is getting ready to go there after finishing settings for their own apartment room, they'll be out of their home for 2 days. So they're in hurry for settling everything up so no problem could disturb the special day.

It's been 3 years Kanade and Yuri met with each other and they're get close to each other enjoying each others company.

They'd first met in the kindergarten class at the age of 4, now both are 7 years old, reading in the same class. Both are in 3rd grade in the primary school of Kiyose. Mrs Aoi loved that school specially.

"Yuri! Sweetie we're all done are you ready for going?", Mrs Aoi asked out her daughter.

"Yes Mama I'm ready. Did Papa brought the gifts? I really want those to present them", Yuri replied and asked her mom.

"Don't worry miss your all gifts are packed and don't forget to give them those by your own okay? After all you chosen those for them", Mr Aoi showed her thumbs up.

"Ya Papa I'll", Yuri smiled. "Ok so let's go", they went for leaving the apartment. "~*Ring Chim~*", their apartment room's door bell sound made them stopped from what they're doing.

"Hey Yuri, Mahiru wait up I'm checking", Mr Aoi said to Yuri and his wife Mahiru aka Mrs Aoi.

"Now who can come again?", Mrs Aoi asked herself. "Ok I'm checking hold on", Yuri ran towards the door for opening it before all.

"Oa you?", Yuri looked surprised after she opened the door seeing someone she didn't guess.

"Hello, I'm here you pick you up all", Yuri saw there was standing Kanade in her winter clothes smiling towards her.

"Oh my Kanade? It's so sweet of you. Come inside dear it's very cold outside", Mrs Aoi sweetly approached to her. "Thanks Mrs Aoi", Kanade bowed.

"Aw Kana you don't have to bow and by the way call me Aunty, you don't have to be so polite", Mrs Aoi said kindly.

"Ok Aunt Aoi", Kanade said. "Aha! That's better. Feel yourself at home~", with that Mrs Aoi let Kanade in their room.

"Whoa nice decoration", Kanade awed in wonder. "Hehe~ me, Mama and Papa did this together", Yuri grinned.

"Wow nice family photo and um I can't recognise this one", Kana pointed out a photo beside the Aoi family photo frame.

"Ya it's been taken 4 years ago when I was just 3, the person is my grandpa and that's granny, my Mama's parents", Yuri said and her cheerful tone vanished, all noticed it.

"Ya and you're looking beautiful also Kana", Yuri's mom praised Kana trying to change the topic.

"Thanks. Aunt Aoi I guess we should leave for my house it's going to snowfall soon", Kana suggested.

"Ya it's already 8 PM", Mr Aoi said. "So Hiro all set?", Yuri's mom asked. "We're ready for leaving", Yuri's dad reassured.

"So let's go YAAY com'on Kana", Yuri's cheerful mode turned on again. She grabbed Kanade's hand pulling her out of door and running happily.

"Whoa Yuri calm down", Kanade tried to keep balance with her. They carefully climbed down the stairs and left the apartment, Yuri's parents following behind.

... With Mr and Mrs Aoi...

"Yuri, Kanade both stay safe we're coming after you", Mrs Aoi shouted behind. Next the Aoi parents locked their room door and followed the two children.

"Look Hiro we're going out somewhere after a long time it feels so nice", Mrs Aoi asked her husband.

"Ya after that incident we didn't spend Christmas except in our own apartment room alone, I'm glad Yuri is finally happy after 4 years", Mr Aoi replied.

"Oh my look at the little girls, they've so much energy", Yuri's mom said seeing her daughter hyped. "Ya, so darling wanna take lift?", Mr Aoi asked her wife.

"Talking about the apartment lift? Hmm no sir. We'll also take the stairs. Why are you old now, Grandpa?", Mrs Mahiru teased him. "Hey Mahiru that's not fair", Mr Hiroshi whined.

"Haha ok Hiro let's go before the girls left us far behind", Mrs Mahiru suggested.

"Ok my highness", Mr Aoi smiled, with that the happy couple left the apartment following the girls.

... Back with Yuri and Kanade...

Yuri's POV

In between my and Kanade's house a City park is there. It's Kiyose City Central Park. There's many people on road but the park looking a bit silent.

Then I suddenly smiled and pulled Kanade into the park with me. "Hey Yuri what you're doing? We're supposed to go to my house!", Kana didn't get what her best friend doing with the snow.

"Kana I wanna build snowman!, Please please don't hesitate to join, I do that in every year", I smiled cutely that Kana can't resist.

"Do you wanna build a snowman?", Yuri asked with her sapphire blue eyes sparkled. "Ok fine", Kana gave up and joined. "Hehe~", I was so happy.

I was wearing a blue sweater on a nevy blue frock, black pants, brown scarf, white boots and white socks. I let my brown hair loose open.

My parents spotted us and waited at the gate seeing us from distance giving us some time to enjoy.

I was building a very little snowman and Kana seeing me standing beside. Her ruby red eyes glimpse in the moonlight while light snowfall started.

Kana was wearing a cherry pink sweater with white ribbon on a deep red long frock with black socks and boots.

She also let her long black hair lose open. She's looking so beautiful. This Christmas going to be so cool.

"Ok girls that's enough, we've to reach there before heavy snowfall started", Mr Aoi aka my father called out to the us.

"Ok Papa", I replied and with my parents and Kana we left the park to go to Kana's house.

"We're here", Kana exclaimed. Reaching there my eyes sparkled in happiness and awe. "It's so wonderful", I spoke out.

"Wow that's fantastic", I was fascinated by the outside decoration and welcoming door of Kana's house.

"Your big house looking so cool", I continued appreciating the beauty. We're about to enter into the house and to the living room. Wow I'm already hyped for celebrating.

"Nice to have you here Mr and Mrs Aoi", Kana's parents aka Mr and Mrs Kosaka welcomed us with greetings.

"Thank you, we're really grateful to you for inviting us in this special day, we really appreciate it", my parents replied.

"This Christmas tree and this inside decoration matching perfectly, brilliant", I clapped.

"Ya of course it's my idea for placing it here", Kana sounded arrogant again but I shrugged it off.

"Ha as you my majesty", I bowed and we both laughed together enjoying the moment.

... At Kanade's House...

Everybody entered into the Kosaka residents to celebrate their Christmas Eve and tomorrow's Christmas celebration. I'm so excited to see the inside of their decorating.

"Hehe it's the best-", I accidentally slipped into a silky ribbon and lost my balance.

"Watch out", fortunately Kana held me in place. "Phew thanks", I sighed in relief.

"Com'on silly girl watch where you're going", Kana scolded like my mother. "Sorry", I replied scratching the back of my head.

"Hmm better", she smiled then introduced me to all of her relatives standing close in a circle in the living room together chatting with each other.

"Whoa is it the Christmas cake?", I asked with stars in my eyes. "Yes my little sunflower it's for tomorrow ", Kana's grandma smiled politely. Oh I forgot to mention her. She's so kind.

"Com'on children come and enjoy the cookies", Aunt Mikan aka Kana's mom said to us. "Yaay", the children with us said together.

"And the cake is for Christmas celebration", Kana's grandma said to us showing the cake.

I didn't noticed Kana's grandma first then I went to her. It's been 3 years I got to knew her she's super nice and also cheerful to all. She's a very cheerful lady in her late 60.

"How's you're doing grandma?", I asked with my best smile. She patted my head.

She was wearing a kimono and tied her white silky hair in a bun. It's been 2 year she took glasses.

"Till my little flowers blooming everyday I'm pretty amazing", she's not only kind but also love to make chitchat with others specially me and Kana. Kana also smiled at that comment.

Kana had some relative brother and sister but seeming like they won't talked to her much. We talked with them a little and they're a little nice.

After all that's for that day as I didn't know them all. "Hey Kana aren't you excited to see your cousin sister and brothers?", I asked her.

"Naa they're living in a more distant from us and comes sometimes. Actually I don't have any strong communication with them. But sometimes we chat when we meet that's all", she replied with a small smile. She said a more about herself and her family and relatives.

After that I finally noticed Kosaka family photo. Kana's dad aka Mr Kenta Kosaka has dark blue hair and emerald eyes and Kana's mom aka Mrs Mikan Kosaka has dark ember eyes with brown hair.

Kanade is only precious daughter of the happy Kosaka family. Grandma is lady Mamiko. These family is filled with love and care for all.

"Wow Kana was really very cute when she's younger and is she knows playing flute?", A cloud of thought flying over my head.

Seeing me standing in front of the photo Kana stepped in to answer my questions.

Wow did she read my mind? But it's better than I said anything. "It's when I was like 2.5 years old and my family loves music. My grandma Mamiko is a fantastic flute player so she taught me how to play flute", she replied and I stared at the photo with awe.

There I got to know about Kana's family more that I didn't know about. My parents stayed there talking with Kana's parents.

"Hey Yuri and Kana go enjoy your time girls don't worry you two are free today so what you're waiting for? Light up like the Christmas star", Mrs Kosaka aka Mrs Mikan said us cheerfully.

"Yaay", We cheered out and shouted. "Ok girls but don't go outside of the house ok?", Mr Kosaka aka Mr Kenta warned us.

"Ok Daddy! Don't worry we won't", Kana replied to her father and held my hand leading the way to the stairs that heading to the 1st floor. We reached at the upper room and entered there.

Kanade's POV

"Wow this place is amazing! Who lives here?", Yuri asked being curious. "Oh it's the place where my grandma and I used to live when I was so little. As my parents works in overseas it's so often they come home. So I always spend my whole time with my grandma.", I replied. "So now what happened to this?", She asked again.

"Now she shifted her place in the ground floor as it's hard for her to climbing the stairs up and down. But it's my favorite room where I've so many memories so sometimes I comes here to relax and sleep with my mother", I said.

"Oh that's why it's definitely a excellent place", Yuri exclaimed pumping her fist in air.

It's been a long time I came here with someone else except my family members. This place is still the same for me, quiet and peaceful.

I looked at Yuri's cheerful face. She's full with her hyped and positive energy. I can't believe how much I adore her for that thing of her.

"Wow this is you and grandma right?", Yuri saw the photo of ours. "Ya that's me and grandma", I smiled at the photo. "It's the only precious thing that I treasure", I muttered.

"Lucky...", Yuri suddenly sounded saddened. I frowned at her sudden mood switch. "Hey you okay?", I asked. "Ya I'm alright", she quietly replied looking at the floor.

"Um hey what about you? What about your cousins and grandparents?", I finally asked what was bugging me inside.

"No I don't have any other siblings or cousins from my father's family. Grandfather and grandmother means the parents of my father both died before my birth so I'd never had a chance to meet them", Yuri took a deep breath.

"But what about your mom's family?", I guess I'm not pushing her hard but I'm curious.

She continued, "I've grandparents and two cousins from my mother's family. Two elder brother. The family hate me for being a girl, If I was a boy they would be happy *gritted teeth* my uncle and aunty are the same but my brothers love me but they're out of touch. The family never want to connect with us so Mama don't go there for a long time. I've only have my Papa and Mama as my family and I'm very happy with it I don't ask for anyone", Yuri finished.

I was speechless. Who knows this little crazy cheerful girl who always make others happy with her cute innocent smile had to go through with all of these. God how dare them to do that with Yuri.

Yuri's eyes filled with tears, "My grandpa was the only one who loved me but he was also left me, I miss him everyday. He was the only one who understands me the most".

"Shh don't worry don't forget you've me and my family after all you're all part of our family. Together we're a very happy family don't you forget about us! We're always here for you Sis", I wiped off the tears and hugged her tightly.

She hugged back,"Thank you so much". We freed from the hug smiling together.

"Kana honey can you please come downstairs for a time?", My mom called me from downstairs. "Ok Mom", I replied.

"I'm coming back in a minute till then you wait here ok?", I suggested Yuri. "Ya sure you go ahead", she smiled and I left for downstairs to meet mom.

Third Person's POV

After Kanade left the room Yuri discovered the full room by herself. "It's so peaceful and warm to live. Is having your own house feels that nice and secure? I know it's not my own home but I just wanna stay here forever", Yuri sighed.

She went to the balcony of that room and looked at outside. The snowfall started and Kiyose City seems to enjoying the moment.

Meanwhile Kanade happily came back to upstairs and entering the room,"Wow Mom made Hot Chocolate for the two of us. I'm sure Yuri will be super happy seeing this".

"Hey Yu-", Kanade cut off when she saw Yuri went to the balcony. Putting the trey of hot chocolate cups she quietly stepped forward.

Yuri was busy in thinking about her grandpa and some other thoughts that she failed to noticed Kanade entered into the room. A song came to her head and she started singing-

"La la la la la la la~", hearing her singing Kanade stopped in her tracks hearing it from behind of Yuri, she didn't want to disturb her.

"Wow this song sounds nice", Kanade muttered making sure Yuri couldn't hear her.

(Ok so pretend the blue lines Yuri singing and the red lines Kanade, and both in chorus are purple, I'm using italic for Yuri, normal for Kanade and bold italic for the both in chorus)

(Yuri leaned on the balcony. She looked at the sky and started singing)

🎶 "I'm wishing on a star

And trying to believe

That even thought it's far

He'll find me Christmas Eve

I guess that Santa's busy

'Cause he's never come around

I think of him when Christmas comes to town..." 🎶

(Sadly thinking about something she can't change or do)

(Kanade came out and hold her both hands making Yuri startled by her sudden entry)

🎶 "The best time of the year

When everyone comes home

With all this Christmas cheer

It's hard to be alone

Putting up the Christmas tree

With friends that come around

It's so much fun when Christmas comes to town" 🎶

(She pointed at the sky, their house and to the City)

(Kanade smiled warmly towards Yuri. Yuri looked down at the floor. Both were looking at the sky)

🎶 "Presents for the children wrapped in red and green

All the things I've heard about but never really seen

No one will be sleeping on the night of Christmas Eve

Hoping Santa's on his way" 🎶

🎶 "When Santa's sleight bells ring

I listen all around

The herald angels sing

I never hear a sound (Yuri sighed)

And all the dreams of the children

Once lost will all be found

That's all I want when Christmas comes to town

(They finished singing)

"So I hope now you're feeling better. You've a pretty good voice", Kanade said warmly. "Ya thanks for your support you're also sounds great", Yuri replied back.

"Oh I forgot you to give this. Mom called me to bring it", Kanade handed the warm hot chocolate cup to Yuri.

"Yummy hot chocolate! Say Aunty that I really love it", Yuri's eyes lit up again. Both enjoyed the warm drink in the cold weather standing close to the balcony seeing the City view.

Cold breeze flowing through their hairs and the hot chocolate making them feel warm.

"Oh my how can I forgot?", Suddenly Yuri gasped. "What happened?", Kanade asked being worried for her best friend.

"Ok first close your eyes", Yuri plastered a sweet smile on her face. "Sure", Kanade was curious about the matter. She felt Yuri put something on her left hand.

"Now you can open your eyes hehe~", Yuri smiled and Kanade smiled sweetly after finding out what Yuri gave her.

It was a handmade die bracelet made up with colourful stones and white pearl shape stones.

"How's it? I made it myself and I've also one for myself but only made with white stones", Yuri smiled cheerfully at Kanade showing her own bracelet. It was a simple bracelet with white stones same like Kanade.

"It's cute and precious like you", Kanade touched her hands on the bracelet then cupped Yuri's cheeks with her hands.

"You're adorable like a soft toy", she commented and cuddled with her. "Hehe then you're so soft and warm like a teddy bear, I love cuddles", Yuri giggled.

"~*Ding dong ding*~", the wall clock of the room sounded declaring the present hour. Two looked at the clock it showed 12 AM.

"It's already 12 but I don't feel sleepy today I feel excited", Yuri didn't want to sleep that night.

"But our parents won't listen let's go to them and see what they say", Kanade commented.

"Ya but before it, as its already 12 today is the day. Merry Christmas Kana!", Yuri smiled and forwarded her left hand towards Kanade. She understood what Yuri meant.

"Wish you also a Merry Christmas Yuri", Kanade put her left hand towards Yuri and their bracelets united with each other. "Hehe", both giggled lightly.

This two cute children stayed there cuddling like that for a little time after that they headed to the downstairs to reunited with their family and enjoying the celebration together.

... At Downstairs...

"Finally Kana and Yuri came here my children I really thought you two already forgot about me after having each other", Grandma Mamiko said in a dramatic way making the two laugh.

"How we can forget about our wonderful amazing superwoman Grandma?", Both hugged grandma and she embraced the two together.

"Merry Christmas Grandma!", both Kanade and Yuri exclaimed together. "Merry Christmas my little flowers hope God Jesus blessed you two and you two continue blooming everyday", she blessed the two from her heart.

"So aren't my little flowers excited to see their Christmas gift from Santa?", Grandma asked Kanade and Yuri.

"Really we're going to explode in excitement", Yuri looked very hyped up. Grandma Mamiko gave them a box wrapped in a golden paper.

"Sure! Santa gave you two something special!", Hearing her words about Santa two blinked.

"Santa send it for us?", Two opened the box carefully and when they saw their gifts they exactly lit up like the Christmas star. Both looked at the unexpected gift. Both smiled at it.

It were two same silver bracelets in the same shape and copy of each other with a star and a heart shape added to each of them.

One had written "Y" and other had "K" on it. Two looked at the silver bracelets and checking the letters on it they picked up their respective names one.

That's mean Yuri choose "Y" one and Kanade picked up the "K" one. But they exchanged it.

"I guess it'll be better if we have each other's bracelet in that way we can always remember each others name am I right grandma?", Yuri asked grandma Mamiko and received a nod.

"Grandma thank you so much it's the best gift for me", Kanade exclaimed being grateful for it.

"So my little flowers keep blooming everyday like this", Grandma Mamiko exclaimed to them.

"So as Christmas already arrived so what are you waiting for?", Mr Kenta screamed happily catching others attention.

"So let's say and cheer together guys", Mrs Mikan exclaimed being hyped with her husband and family together.

"So what are we waiting for?", Mr and Mrs Aoi asked the whole group. "Let's say it together", Kanade and Yuri exclaimed loudly.

"3...", Mr Kenta and Mrs Mikan started counting. "2...", Mr Hiroshi and Mrs Mahiru joined. "1...", Our little Yuri and Kana pointed their index finger above their head.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!", The whole group of their friends and family exclaimed together. "Haha", all smiled together.

"It's the best Christmas I've seen in my life", Yuri smiled and said to Kanade. "And it's the best time I've spent with you", she replied to Yuri.

"A promise of a life time... Together you and I will always be friends for life", the two promised to each other and spend time together with their loved ones. That way they were bond together for friends forever.

With that the Christmas bright white star show itself from the snow clouds above the sky of Kiyose along with the golden star lightbulb of the Christmas tree of Kanade's house glimpsed.

Like the golden star lightbulb above the Christmas tree also shined like matched up with the Kiyose City sky Christmas star outside...
