chapter fifteen;

━━━━━━ "KISA-CHAN!! WHY DID YOU CALL ME HERE?", toga excitedly asked, to which kisa had glanced up from her book to see a neutral yet slightly irritated kurono hari.

     "her highness called for the both of us, the both of us", kurono corrected, emphasizing on the word both.

     "toga himiko, quirk: transform. it involves ingesting blood am I correct?", kisa asked, to which toga had gleefully smiled.

     "tell me, how long does the image of the person last when you drink their blood. and to what extent can your quirk go?"

     "aww I'm so happy you're interested in me kisa-chan!!", toga gushed, twirling around in happiness as she kneeled in front of kisa, who just patted the girl's head.

     "but basically, the more blood I drink, the longer I can be like them. not only will I look like them, my voice will also sound like them!", toga exclaimed in a chirpy tone.

"however...if I really try...I might even be able to copy their quirks", toga grinned, with a mischievous glint in her bright yellow eyes.

"you've got an excellent quirk himiko", kisa smiled, to which toga felt her heart beat even faster at the girl's praise.

     "and kurono hari, alias and quirk: chronostasis. explain to me a bit about it", kisa demanded, to which the masked male—who wore the same ridiculous bird beak mask as chisaki—nodded.

     "my quirk allows me to slow down the movements of anything I hit with my clock hand-like hair. the minute hand slows the target down for one minute while the hour hand slows the target down for one hour. though I can only extend my hair if I'm not moving, your highness".

     "quit the your highness crap. just call me kisa", the girl commanded.

"but overhaul said—"

"my world, my rules", kisa interrupted, to which the grey-haired male had begrudgingly nodded.

"and can I just call you hari? chronostasis is a mouthful".

"overhaul usually refers to me as chrono...if your highne—if you'd like, kisa".

"hari it is then", kisa smiled as she suddenly stood up, to which toga had followed suit.

"I have summoned you two today to accompany me on a date", kisa casually said, to which toga started prancing around as kurono hesitated.

     "pardon my rudeness kisa, but I don't think overhaul would appreciate us...going on a date..."

     "I wouldn't appreciate what now?"

     everyone suddenly turned towards the voice and the group of people walking towards them.

     "kai!", kisa smiled, forcing chisaki into a hug, to which the male just awkwardly patted the girl's head.

     "now now princess, don't let overhoe hog you all to himself", dabi joked, to which chisaki and kurono had glared at the male, making him stare right back.

     kisa chuckled as she slipped out of chisaki's grasp, falling into dabi's arms.

     "now what was it that I wouldn't appreciate?", chisaki repeated, to which kurono had immediately spoken.

     "kisa said—"

     "who said you could casually call her by her name?", chisaki interrupted, furrowing his brows.

     "I did kai. don't blame hari. anyways, him, himiko, and I are going out to spy on kenji and suzuki's date", kisa explained, to which kurono mentally kicked himself for taking it the wrong way.

     "why didn't you just ask one of us?", inasa asked, though he came off as if he could care less.

"hari and himiko's got the perfect quirk for this task...well...emergency task if kenji somehow screws up", kisa said.

"plus, you four need to practice your vows. I expect that shit to be the most romantic thing that comes out of your mouth", kisa teased, to which shigaraki slightly flinched.

dabi just chuckled as he raised his hand to touch kisa's hair, only for the girl to quickly slip out of his embrace as she went back to chisaki's side.

"anyways, kaoru's my little ring bearer, but I'm still lacking a flower girl....you know where I'm going with this don't you?", kisa mumbled with a slight smirk.

kurono looked up slightly shocked at just how much kisa knew about them. it was like there wasn't anything she didn't know about them.

chisaki stayed quiet for a moment as kisa snaked her arms around the male's waist, leaning close as she lifted her head up to look into chisaki's matching eyes.

"please...kai?", kisa whispered, tilting her head to the side as she awaited the male's response.

     chisaki sighed, giving in. "alright. I'll have chrono go retrieve her later", the male answered, to which kisa was pleased.

     "thank you kai~"

     kisa gave chisaki a kiss on the cheek as she walked over to toga and kurono, who were just watching her interact with the four men.

     "come on hari and himiko, we've got a date to spy on. I'll see you four soon", kisa winked as she hastily left with toga giggling and kurono just bowing before excusing himself.

     "what the fuck are wedding vows?", shigaraki asked.

     "kisa, where is this place?", toga asked.

     "hayakawa village", kisa shortly answered, walking around with a cloak covering her entire body.

     the three then entered a nearby tea shop that kisa made sure the couple went in, as she had purposely instructed kenji to take the yuki onna there.

     meanwhile the three took a seat a few tables away, the snow woman's back was turned towards them, which was perfect, as kisa was able to make eye contact with kenji. and with the girl's sensitive hearing, she was able to listen into their conversation.

     "welcome, how may I help you three today?", a waitress asked.

     just before kisa could answer, the waitress suddenly gasped.

     "oh my!! congratulations, you all are the 100th customer in our shop today! so in celebration of that, we're gifting you guys a free bottle of whiskey!"

     "great", kisa sarcastically smiled. "now get us each a plate of steak while you're at it", kisa hurried as she shooed the waitress away, who just nodded.

     kisa then took out her fan, covering the bottom half of her face, meanwhile kurono just observed the second princess.

     "kisa—"

     toga stopped midway through her sentence when she saw kisa intensely staring at the couple who seemed to be happily chatting, or at least kenji was.

     "kisa-chan?", toga called out again, to which the girl had snapped out of her trance.

     "yes himiko?", the girl sweetly answered.

     "why'd you decide to set them up? I thought that man cheated on your older sister?", toga questioned.

     "how'd you know about that?"

     "well of course tomura and dabi were talking about it to twice and I", toga grinned.

     "did kai tell you as well?", kisa asked kurono, who just begrudgingly nodded.

     "well it's not like it's a bad thing", toga added on, to which kisa had raised a brow.

     "and from what I can tell, tomura realllllly likes you", toga giggled, to which kisa just slightly shook her head in disagreement.

     "those four and I will never have a loving relationship. the most I can give them are my affection and whisper sweet nothings to them", kisa stoically said.

     kurono and toga seemed to be slightly baffled. by how kisa showed her "fake" affection, it almost seemed as if it were real.

     "so you're telling me...that you don't have any feelings whatsoever for tomura and them?", toga asked, just confirming what she heard.

     kisa paused.

     "my priority is the throne right now, and once I reach my goal, I promised to help each of them with theirs. from the very beginning, we were meant to be business partners. nothing more, nothing less".

"yet that still doesn't answer the question of whether you've harbored feelings for them or not", kurono chimed in.

kisa simply closed her fan as she just gave the two a pitiful smile.

"perhaps".
