October 2018
Now that Maddie has her own place now, of course instead of hiring a moving company she enlisted the
help of a few firefighters she knew. Inside her apartment Chimney was busy installing a security system.
"Okay, you've officially reached Fort Knox-level security." Chimeny Said
"Oh, you think it's too much?" Maddie Asked
"Three motion sensors in the living room? I mean, maybe if you're trying to keep Tom Cruise from getting his hands on your NOC list." Chimney Said
"Huh?" Maddie Said, raising a brow.
"Mission: Impossible. No?" Chimney Said
"Sorry, haven't seen it." Maddie Said
"Travesty." Chimney Replied, shaking his head as she smiled at him.
Meanwhile outside the apartment Buck, Eddie, Becca and Violet are busy trying to figure out sliding the couch inside.
"Okay, this is taking forever why can't we slide this damn thing in?" Violet Huffed
"I'm all for new ideas." Becca Said
"Maybe we pop the hinges off the door." Eddie Suggested
"Or we use the Jaws of Life." Buck Piped up, as Eddie nodded to him.
"No, no, no. It has to fit. I measured it twice. Can't you guys just, you know, turn it around the other way?" Maddie Said
"And then the pizza will slide off." Buck Said
"You have pizza on my new sofa?" Maddie Said, then picked up the box.
"It's on the plastic." Buck Said, shrugging his shoulders.
Maddie looked at her younger brother then rolled her eyes, as she walked back inside with the pizza.
"Okay." Buck Said
"I guess it's back to lifting." Becca Sighed, then the four of them bent down and lifted the couch.
"I'm sorry. You were showing me the security app." Maddie Said
"All right, pivot." Eddie Said
"Okay, so, basically, you can check everything on here." Chimney shows her the tablet, "And you can also check it on your phone if you're not at home."
"That's great 'cause now if I hear a noise in the middle of the night, I don't have to get out of
bed to know it's the ice maker." Maddie Said
"Go, go that way." Buck Said
"That's what I'm doing Evan." Becca Said
"Violet lift with your legs." Chimney Said
"Do you wanna try lifting this?" Violet Remarked, glaring at him.
"No. Carry on." Chimney Said
The four of them make it through the door way, then places the couch down on the floor.
"And that's was my workout for the day." Violet Said, taking a deep breath.
"Hey, thank you, guys, for helping me on your day off." Maddie Said
"Don't worry about it. Plates?" Eddie Said, as Maddie placed the pizza boxes in his hand.
"Countertop. Kitchen." Maddie Said
"Got any Beer?" Chimney Asked
"Uh, also kitchen, fridge." Maddie Replied
"Clever." Chimney Said, then walked towards the kitchen.
"Nice job ladies, very, very thankful." Maddie Smiled
"No problem Maddie just so you know we could have done that without them." Becca Said, smirking as Buck rolled his eyes.
"You know me always ready to assist a pretty lady in need." Violet Said
"Thanks again." She smiled then looked over in the kitchen, "Wow he is so cute." Maddie Said, as Becca and Violet followed her gaze.
"Yeah, he gets that a lot. Uh, you should meet his kid, though." Buck Said
"Wait, Chimney has a kid?" Maddie Furrowed her brows, then walked off.
"No, I-I thought you meant...Chimney?" Buck Said
Violet and Becca chuckled a little at him, both patted him on the shoulder then joined everyone else in the kitchen.

Over at a baseball field near Avalon Blvd a helicopter crashed down in some bleachers. Athena along with the 1-1-8 arrived in their turnout gear, she gets out her car ducking down as the strong wind from the helicopter rotors blows at them.
"Hey, stay down! Stay down!" Athena Shouted, as people near the crash site hid behind the concession stand.
Bobby called out for her as she jogged over to them, hiding behind the fire engine with them.
"What happened?" Bobby Asked
"The pilot radioed they were having mechanical trouble. Looks like he tried to put it down in the
field over there." Athena Said
"Yeah, it got close." Bobby Said
"Yeah, not close enough. Get down, people, move!
Move! Go!" Athena Said, escorting the civilians away.
"All right, guys, we're gonna fan out, go behind those bleachers. Eddie, after we get the people out, you think you can kill that engine?" Bobby Said
"Think so, I'm just worried about the dynamic rollover." Eddie Replied
"The dynamic what?" Buck Questioned
"We change the weight ratio by pulling people out,
whole thing could tip over, rotors could snap off." Eddie Explained
"And then flying rocks are gonna be the least of our problems." Buck Said
"All right, visors down. Let's go!" Bobby Said
The five of them all slid their visors down and ran off towards the crash site. As the rotors were spinning rapidly they approached it carefully, Bobby looked through the window seeing a redhead woman in the backseat as the pilot was unconscious in the front.
"Buck, get her out of there." Bobby Ordered
"On it, Cap." Buck Said
He slid the door open as the woman looked at him in a panic. "It's okay put your arms around me."
"Okay." She Said
"Yes. All right, here we go. Okay." Buck Said
The helicopter then shifted leaning back some causing Buck to loose his footing, and the woman falling out his arms but Becca and Violet held onto him pulling him back up.
"Got to keep it moving!" Eddie Shouted
"All right." Buck Said
The woman sat up then put her arms around Buck again, as he lifted her out the helicopter and moved away with her safety. Becca, Violet and Bobby then went over to the pilot.
"All right, on three. One, two, three." Bobby Said
The three of them lifted the man out his seat, so Eddie could hop in quickly. He sat down and pulled down the emergency lever slowing down the rotors as they shut off.
"Nice work Eddie." Bobby Said
"Thanks Cap." Eddie Nodded
Becca and Violet nodded to their friend impressed, then went back to assisting the injured pilot. A few moments later while Violet, Eddie and Chimney were assisting others over by the woman Hen and Becca we're checking on her.
"Pulse/ox is good we can get rid of this." Hen Said, taking the oxygen mask off her.
"How are you doing?" Athena Asked
"I'm not sure. How's Trent? Is he okay?" She Asked
"Your pilot's gonna be just fine." Becca Assured, as she nodded.
"Hey, do me a favor. Uh, say, "And on the, "speeds are under five miles an hour, making your morning commute a rough one." Buck Said
"Seriously?" Becca and Hen Said, incredulously.
"I-I-I know that voice. It's, uh, it's Taylor Kelly reporting, right? Right. Skywitness News Eight." Buck Pointed Out
"That's me." Taylor Replied
"Wow. Um, it's, uh, it's weird to hear that voice come out of a face." Buck Said
Taylor titled her head at him furrowing her brows, "Thank you?"
"Um, you have helped me beat traffic in this city more times than you will ever know." Buck Said
"Oh, you might want to Uber tomorrow." Taylor Suggested
Buck chuckled sending her a small smile as the two were looking at each other, Hen, Athena and Becca noticed them having a moment.
After work that day after work Becca went straight home to set up for Dylan's birthday party. Though his birthday fell on a Monday this year, she still wanted to throw him something special.
Since this was his birthday Becca only invited the people Dylan wanted. Which was pretty good group, as the party went on Dylan, Bryan and Aryana and their friends played out in the backyard while most of the adults stayed inside the house. In the dining room area Becca, Eddie and Violet are sharing a beer.
"So how's it feel to have a seven year old now?" Violet Asked
"I'm sad because that means he's getting older, I wish he can just stay six forever. Just a few years ago I was teaching him his abc's and teaching him to ride a bike, and telling him to please stop putting food in his diaper." Becca Said, as they all laughed.
"Don't worry Becks you still have a lot to teach him." Eddie Said
"Eddies right look at him he's still a young minded boy." Violet Said
"Which one are you talking about?" Eddie Asked
They all looked over at Dylan and Christopher who's now playing catch with Buck and Justin, the blondeย then waved over at them and smiled which she did back.
"Buck," They laughed again, "But don't tell him I said that." Violet Said
"All right you guys got this?" Justin Said
"I think we're gonna play something else, come on Christopher." Dylan Said
"I'm coming." Christopher Said, as Dylan waited for him to follow behind.
"Hey Buck you want a beer?" Justin Asked
"Yeah, sure." Buck Said
"Follow me." Justin Said
The two of them walked back in the house, then entered the kitchen. Justin reached inside the fridge, pulling out two beers.
"You know I think it's pretty cool what you and Becca are doing, with the kids and everything." Buck Said
"Thanks man." Justin Said, handing Buck over a beer.
"It's rare you see two divorced parents get along like you guys do." Buck Said
"You know it wasn't always like this, in the beginning it was a weird frustrating situation. But then we realized we're already hurting the kids by separating, so why not just try and get along and here we are in a much better place. Advice for the future divorces are way harder with kids involved." Justin Says
"I can see that." Buck Said
"But don't worry marriage is great if that's what you and your girlfriend want, do you and girl talk about marriage?" Justin Asked
"Um..we haven't really gotten to that part yet." Buck Said
"How long have you guys been together if you mind me asking." Justin Said
"Abby, my girlfriend we've been together since February I'd say. What started off from a simple phone conversation to being one of my first real relationships, it was great in the beginning." Buck Said
"That's how it starts." Justin Said
"Yeah, but then things started to change once her mom's Alzheimer's had gotten worse. Then sadly she passed away in May, so Abby decided the best way to move on with her life..was by leaving." Buck Explained
"Oh Damn I'm sorry man." Justin Said
"No it's okay." Buck Replied
"But are you guys still together?" Justin Asked
"That is a great question because at this point..I have no idea." Buck Said
"Well I hope you eventually figure it out." Justin Said, raising his beer.
"Yeah, me too." Buck Said, then they both took sips from their beers.
A few minutes later Vince walks into the dining room and taps Becca on the shoulder. "Hey, Becca can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure, I was just about to get the cake." Becca Said
She stood up and the two of them walked into the kitchen, opened up the fridge taking out the birthday cake.
"So what's up?" Becca Asked
"I just got off a call with my boss and I have some news." Vince Said
"Good or bad?" Becca Questioned
"Let's just start off with the good okay, so you know how I've been working at my job for about six years now." Vince Said
"Mhm." Becca Said, placing down some candles on the cake.
"And I've been a financial analyst for three years the best in the company according to my boss. Well my boss just presented me with something, there's an opening Manager spot in Boston and my boss wants me to run the division over there." Vince Said
Becca stopped what she was doing and slowly turned around, "Seriously?"
"Yeah." Vince Said
"Um Di-Did you take the job?." Becca Asked
"No I told him I'd think about it because there's a lot to discuss." Vince Said
"Yeah there is.." Becca Replied
"Becks look-" Vince Said
Justin then popped his head into the kitchen, "Hey Becca, Dylan is ready to sing happy birthday you've got the cake ready?
"Mhm, all seven candles are on the cake." Becca Said
"Cool, see you out there." Justin Said, then exited the kitchen.
Vince and Becca both glanced at each other, trying to figure out what to say until he cleared his throat.
"You know what we can talk about it some other time." Vince Said
"Yeah, I'd like that." She half smiled, then looked inside the drawers, "Damn it there was a lighter in here earlier." Becca Said
Vince looked around the kitchen until he spotted the red lighter in a basket of junk, he then walked over and handed it to her.
"There you go." Vince Said
"Thank you." Becca Said, then lit the candles on the birthday cake.
She and Vince walked out and into the living room area, Becca started singing happy birthday which everyone soon joined in and placed the cake in front of Dylan who was ecstatic to see his superhero themed birthday cake.
Aryana and Bryan stood next to their little brother, Dylan then closed his eyes making a wish and then blew them out, which everyone then clapped for.

The next day while everyone was busy at the fire house, while everyone was busy doing their respective chores.
Outside near the house Becca is busy helping Buck wash the fire command vehicle, he noticed that her mind was else wear.
"You done washing that window you've scrubbed it at least ten times." Buck Said
"Huh? Oh right sorry," Becca wiped the window one last time, "Just wanted it to be extra clean that's all."
Buck raised a brow at her, "You alright Becca you've been quiet all morning?"
"I'm okay just been thinking about yesterday." Becca Said
"The party oh yeah it was really fun." Buck Said
"No it's not about the party..it's about Vince, yesterday he told me something really big." Becca Said
"Like what?" Buck Asked, then leaned against the hood of the van.
"Well he told me that his boss offered a huge job promotion, to be a manager and run a division of the company." Becca Explained
"That's really cool for him...now where's the bad in all of this?" Buck Wondered
Becca sighed, "The bad part in this is that if he takes it he'll have to move to Boston."
"Oh, damn that sucks." Buck Said
"Yeah, No kidding." Becca Said
"I'm sorry Becks, well did he take it?" Buck Asked
"He said he'll have to think about it, and I know Vince this something he's been working hard for the last six years. I'm just-" Becca Said
"Not ready for him to leave." Buck Continued
"Yeah, this entire year has been great because of him I didn't think I could ever love anyone after my divorce. Yet here comes Vince, I don't know what to do Buck." Becca Said
"Hmm I know you feel because that's exactly what I felt the day before Abby left. You know I didn't want her to go, but I know she really needed it..cause she needed to find herself. And sometimes I still wished she could've stayed." Buck Said, shrugging his shoulders.
"So you're suggesting I tell him to stay." Becca Said
"I'm suggesting that you and Vince figure out what you guys both want, because I know neither of you wants to be selfish for the other." Buck Said, glancing over at her.
Meanwhile Taylor Kelly and her camera man can be seen entering the fire house, filming a few workers around.
"This is fantastic. I love it. We need to capture it all.
Real life inside a firehouse. Please, God, tell me there's a Dalmatian around here somewhere." Taylor Said
Bobby sees the redhead and cameraman, with a confused look he approaches them.
"Excuse me." Bobby Said
"Captain Nash, I'm Taylor Kelly. We met the other day when..." She Greeted
"I know who you are, Ms. Kelly. I just don't understand what you're doing here. Please don't
film in here." Bobby Said, holding his hand up to the camera.
"Uh, why not?" Taylor Asked
"Because it's-it's rude." Bobby Simply Replied
"Oh, they didn't call you yet." Taylor Said
"Who?" Bobby Asked
"Captain, Chief's office on the line." A worker called out, then Bobby walked off.
Becca and Buck looked into the fire house when they noticed a familiar person.
"Uh, Taylor Kelly?" She turned to face him, "Wh-What are you doing here?" Buck Asked
"You can just call me Taylor. Uh, how was your drive in? Did you miss me?" She Smiled
"My morning definitely wasn't the same without you." Buck Said, sending her flirtatious smile back.
Noticing that the two of them are obviously flirting again, Becca cleared her throat.
"Well, it's nice to see you're okay, hi I'm Becca one of the firefighters that treated you." She Said, lending her hand out which Taylor shook.
"Right, Firefighter Martinez nice to meet you again and thanks again." Taylor Said
"No problem." Becca Said
"Hey, how're you feeling? Any side effects after the crash?" Eddie Asked, walking over from the gym area.
"I'm great. Thanks to all of you, which is why I'm here. You guys were so amazing. I want to do a story on this firehouse and on the heroes who work here." Taylor Said
"Yeah, but you do traffic." Chimney Pointed Out
"I'm not quite ready to go back in the sky, so I thought I'd try my hand at telling a story from the ground." Taylor Explained
Hen chuckles getting out the ambulance, "And use your newfound fame to put your face in front of the camera."
"That, too." Taylor Said
"Smart girl, I'll give it to ya." Violet Said
"I can't wait to interview all of you. I want to know why you chose this job, the crazy things you've seen,
what it's like to face death. I mean, Howie, you almost died, right?" Taylor Said
"Actually, nobody calls me that. It's Chimney." He Corrected
"I bet there's a story there." Taylor Said
"Hmm." She chuckled, "Not one you can tell on TV." Becca Said
"Well, you must've really impressed the chief. He said to give you whatever access you need." Bobby Said, walking over to the group.
"Don't worry, Captain Nash, your story's in good hands. I'm gonna make you all famous." Taylor Said
Throughout her time here Taylor interviewed a bunch of the members, everyone shared their stories of why they wanted to become a firefighter.
Upstairs Taylor and her cameraman saw that Violet was sitting alone on her phone, the redhead then approached the brunette.
"Hi your Violet right?" Taylor Asked
"Yes," Violet looks up at her, "Can I help you Ms. Taylor."
"I was wondering if I could talk to you for a moment, oh may I?" Taylor Said, gesturing to the seat across from her.
"Sure." Violet Replied, "What is it that you want to talk about?"
"Well I was hoping you could share your story on why you decided to become a firefighter." Taylor Said
"That's usually a first date question but since you asked so nicely, I'd be happy to share my story." Violet Said, as Taylor smiled at her.
"Great, so how did this all start for you?" Taylor Asked, leaning forward in her seat.
"To be honest I never grew up dreaming of becoming a firefighter, and growing up in El Paso Texas the chances of seeing an Indian firefighter were very low. But the firefighters in my hometown made up for it." Violet Said
"How so?" Taylor Wondered
"There's this station in El Paso I'm gonna give it a quick shout out, it's called Station 16. They were the absolute best workers I've seen, always there to help anyone in need." Violet Said
"Hm." Taylor Said
"Ooh one time their was this bad snowstorm and my parents were stuck at work, so it was me and my two younger brothers at home with my grandmother who was 63 at the time. My grandmother was busy cooking us lunch because my little brother Levi kept nagging her that was he was starving, so she went to cook us chana kulcha which is great by the way you should try it one day. As she was cooking she took a bite out of the food for a taste test, but things took a turn and she began choking. Now I'm 9 and don't know a thing about CPR, my grandmother collapsed on the ground and I began to panic because she couldn't breathe. so I dialed 9-1-1, luckily the 9-1-1 dispatcher was so kind and guided me through the tracheotomy I did on my grandmother." Violet Said, as Taylor's eyebrow raised.
"Wait hold on, you performed a dangerous medical procedure on your grandmother at 9 years old?" Taylor Said, in disbelief as Violet nodded.
"Mhm with a razor blade and a pen." Violet Mentioned
"But did anyone come to help?" Taylor Asked
"Yeah, the firefighters from Station 16 came to our rescue. Even though it was nasty blizzard outside they still managed to come through and assist us, luckily my grandmother was fine and pulled through. One of the surgeons even gave me a compliment for taking charge and doing that."
Violet Said
"Huh so that's the reason why you wanted to become a firefighter." Taylor Said
"No. By doing that I actually wanted to become a surgeon, but then as I got older I realized that you had to endure 8 more years of education to become a doctor so I changed my mind." She and Taylor laughed, "But I still wanted that thrill of helping people, so after graduating college and moving to Chicago I soon became an EMT which was stressful but I handled it well and enjoyed it, so about about two years ago my best friend was thinking of becoming a firefighter and I thought back to all those years of Station 16 and all the good things they've done, so I thought why not give it a try and two years later here I am." Violet Said, with a small smile.
"Well Firefighter Singh if it's one thing I know for sure, you sure do know how to tell a great story."
Taylor Nodded
"Of course Ms. Kelly." Violet Replied, which made the red head blush a little.
From a far Becca who's over by the lounge area, she oversees the two and notices the glances they both share and a smile appears on her face. Soon the alarm rang signaling their first call of the day.
"Attention, Station 118 Engine and rescue. Got
a report of adult male, difficulty breathing."
With that the team all got up and all boarded the engine and ambulance truck. A few minutes later they arrived at the scene of what appeared to be an eating competition.
The team all piled out of the vehicles as Taylor and her cameraman piled out of their van. Bobby and Buck approached the woman in charge Sandy.
"I was told there's a man here who's choking to death." Bobby Said
"No, uh, Gregory says he doesn't want any help now." Sandy Said
"Okay, excuse me, ma'am." Bobby Said, as they all walked past her.
"Geez I wonder how many he put down." Becca Said
"This one time Joey Chestnut scarfed down 74 hot dogs in ten minutes at last year's Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest." Buck Mentioned, as they all looked at him incredulously.
"It doesn't surprise me you know that." Eddie Said, slightly chuckling.
"What I like interesting facts." Buck Said
They look across at the table where the contestants are eating. The man, Gregory is seen gagging and looking a little dizzy.
"Excuse me, sir, are you refusing care?" Bobby Asked
"What the hell are these people trying to win?" Violet Wondered
Right as she said that the sound of hissing is heard, a monitor lizard crawls from underneath and startled
the whole team.
"Ah, geez!" Chimney Said, bumping into Bobby.
"Whoa." Eddie Said
"There's your answer." Becca Said
"Cute. That thing yours?" Chimney Asked, looking over at Sandy.
"That's Claude. He's the grand prize." Sandy Said
Gregory's eyes start to roll back and he falls forward on the stage.
"Whoa, guys, guys. Get them in. Give us some room." Bobby Said, gesturing for the audience to move.
"Get this table and chairs out of here." Chimney Said, as the rest of the crew moved them out the way.
"That means you guys, too. Give us some room back up, Prep the defib." Bobby Said
Hen then placed her stethoscope near his chest,
"His airways are sealing up, I need the BBM."
"On it." Violet Said
"What was this, like, a pepper eating contest?" Taylor Asked
"No. Protein." Sandy Replied
"His pulse is thready." Chimney Said
As they were assisting to Gregory, the sound of chirping can be heard.
"Wait you guys hear that?" Violet Said
They all listened in and soon a few crickets escaped out from Gregory's mouth.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Chimney Said
"Locusts!" Hen Grimaced
"Oh, whoa." Violet Said
"No, they're actually crickets we allowed anything
that Claude would eat. We thought it might be fun." Sandy Mentioned
"His pulse is weakening. He's in V-fib." Hen Said
"He's coding." Violet Said
"Starting compressions." Chimney Said
As he pressing down on his chest they notice the rhythm on the monitor, still isn't getting better.
"Damn it, the blockage is too big he's not getting any
air. Let me try something." Hen Said
"Come on, buddy." Chimney Said
"Buck, give me the Magill." Hen Said
Buck reaches inside her medical bag and hands over the instrument. Violet opens his mouth so Hen could reach inside, she then pulls out a large clump of crickets out Gregory's mouth.
"Oh, my God." Chimney Said, trying not to gag.
"Right here, Hen." Becca Said, holding out her hand.
Hen places the clump in her hand then she tosses it inside a plastic bag. Eddie hands over the resuscitator to her, she pushed some air back into him then Gregory's eyes open and takes a huge gasp of air.
"He's back." Hen Said
"I got sinus rhythm, pulse action's rising." Chimney Added
"Okay, Let's get him up." Violet Said
Buck and Chimney helped lift him up, as Gregory continued to puke out some more crickets.
"Try to breathe." Chimney Said
"All this for a lizard, huh?" Eddie Said
"A monitor lizard, and 500 bucks and I just lost." Gregory Sighed
"Yes, you did! Yeah!" A woman across said, with a mouthful.
She then began to gag a bit until a bunch of cockroaches crawled out her mouth, Becca disgusted by the whole thing tried to her best not to gag so she walked off.
"Well Claude, I guess you're staying with me." Sandy Said
Claude the lizard sniffs Taylor as she's close, he approaches her and hissed at her.
"Oh." Taylor Said, moving away.
"I guess he likes you. He likes redheads." Sandy Said, as Taylor nervously chuckles.
"Scared of Lizards are we Taylor?" Violet Asked, approaching her.
"Well yeah, don't tell me that animal doesn't freak you out in the slightest bit." Taylor Said
Violet looked down at Claude and shrugged her shoulders, "Eh Monitor Lizards are very common in India, plus my uncle once had a pet lizard. The trick is to never let them know your scared of them, they can sense that."
"Thanks I'll be prepared for next time." Taylor Said
"Well I know you hope there won't be a next time." Violet Replied
Violet smirked at her then walked off with the rest of her team, as a smirk creeped up on the redhead.
โฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌ
Later on that day after an eventful day, Violet invited Becca over at her apartment since Justin has the kids for the afternoon. Over in the living room Becca is looking out the window at the beautiful view of the city with a glass of wine in one hand.
"You know every time I come here, Vi I envy your apartment more and more. I'd kill to wake up to this beautiful view every morning." Becca Said
"Please at least you have a house in a quiet neighborhood." Violet Said
"Yeah, but at least you don't live with three tiny people who constantly want your attention." Becca Joked, as she and Violet laughed.
"That's true," Violet Chuckled, then heard a knock at her door.
"Is that her?" Becca Asked
"Should be she texted me like five minutes ago she was on her way." Violet Said
Violet walked over to her door, opening it up as Maddie smiled at her.
"Hey, girls." Maddie Said
"Maddie you made it," They quickly hug, "Come on in." Violet Said, as the brunette entered.
"Thanks sorry it took me a while to come here, my Uber got stuck in traffic." Maddie Said, as she sat next to Becca at the kitchen island.
"Don't apologize it's L.A you'll get used to the traffic." Becca Said
"Been living here for almost six months and still
hate the traffic, hey you want some wine Maddie?" Violet Said
"Sure what do you got?" Maddie Asked
"We've got a $20 bottle of red wine that I never got the chance to open on my date a few weeks ago." Violet Said
"I'll take that." Maddie Said
Violet then pul
"Wait was that the date from the woman you met at that saddle ranch bar?" Becca Said, as Violet nodded.
"Oh my god, I remember that call...you picked up a girl at a bar?" Maddie Said
"Yeah her name was Stefanie Colson, she was cool and funny and to my surprise very bendy." Violet Said, giving a suggestive look at them.
"Wow." Becca Said, then took a sip from her wine.
"Violet you don't give me the type to hook up on the first date." Maddie Said
"Look I wasn't eventually going to but, hey when she kissed me the way she did..I was hooked. Best sex I've had in a while." Violet Said, as Maddie and Becca laughed.
"I love my best friend." Becca Said
"So do you plan on seeing her again?" Maddie Asked
"No, you know I'm 27 I was in a committed relationship for a long time. So I want to play the field for a while before I eventually find the one." Violet Said
"Don't worry take your time dating can be fun, I mean I wouldn't know I was married to my high school sweetheart for years and that didn't end
well." Maddie Said, then took a sip from her glass.
"Whenever your ready for the dating scene let me know, I know some good places where singles hang out." Violet Said
"Let me guess Stefanie told you huh." Becca Said
"Mhm." Violet Smirked
"Well I might be attending some of those places, at least I hope not." Becca Sighed
"What?" Maddie and Violet Said
"The other day Vince told me some news that can change the trajectory of our relationship. His boss offered a promotion but the job is in Boston." Becca Said
"Oh, did he take it?" Violet Asked
"No. He told his boss he'll give him an answer by Friday but he needs to figure things out." Becca Explained
"Damn, which means you guys still haven't had the talk." Violet Said
"Nope." Becca Said
"I hope you guys can work it out, Vince is such a nice guy and he loves you so much." Maddie Said
"And I love him too but I don't want him to choose between me and a job." Becca Said
"But Beck's he's got to." Violet Said
Becca rubs her forehead in frustration, "I know..I just wish he didn't have too."
"Aw Becca," She wrapped her arms around her, "I'm sorry hun." Maddie Said
Violet walked around and joined in on the embrace, as Becca hugged them back.
"I'm sorry guys I didn't meant to bring down the mood." Becca Said
"No it's okay these things happen at girls night, we laugh, we cry and eventually we move on." Violet Said
"She's right, okay let's distract ourselves from the Vince situation anyone got anything new to talk about?" Maddie Said
"Ooh I do..and it involves Violet and news reporter Taylor Kelly." Becca Said, as Maddie gasped.
"No way you've gotta thing for the sky weather girl?" Maddie Exclaimed
"No," Violet scoffed, "I don't have a thing for Taylor."
"Oh please I saw the way you two were talking, you practically flirting with her." Becca Said
"I don't know what you were seeing, but I was being completely professional." Violet Said
"Oh like how you were professional with Stefanie." Maddie Piped up, as Becca laughed.
Violet rolled her eyes at them, "Shut up."

Two days later at the station the morning moved smoothly. As the afternoon was creeping in, a bunch of treats were delivered to the station.
While Taylor and her cameraman were still filming the crew upstairs, downstairs Chimney and Violet we're washing the ambulance truck.
"Okay Chim, I think she's clean." Violet Said
Chim walked over towards her, looking over her shoulder squinting his eyes then pointed to a spot.
"Ah, ah you missed a spot." Chimney Said
"Oh please it's just one spot I think you'll be fine." Violet Huffed
"I'll be fine once the ambulance truck is nice and spotless." Chimney Said
Violet sprayed some cleaning liquid over the spot and wiped it down, "There ya happy."
"Thank you now was that's so hard." Chimney Joked, then she threw her rag at him.
"Next time I'll just go clean the bathrooms instead." Violet Said
"Trust me no you don't." Chimney Said
The two of them walked up the stairs to the second floor, hoping to enjoy some of the treats that got delivered.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha. New arrival. When they send it in plastic, you know it's gonna be good." Chimney Said
Chimney opened the container only for it to be empty, as he and Violet's smiles dropped.
"Wait where's the brownies?" Violet Asked
"Serious, you guys? You couldn't even leave us any crumbs?" Chimney Said
"Ooh, Vi, Chim, you guys missed out." Buck Said, eating a brownie walking past them.
"Is that chocolate?" Violet Asked
"Mmm. Fudge, with nuts." Eddie Added, finishing his brownie.
"I love fudge with nuts." Chimney Said
"Oh, damn, you would've loved these because... scrumptious." Hen Chimed in, smiling sitting at the table eating her brownie.
"You guys are rude you know that, Becks you could have at least save me one." Violet Said
"Sorry Vi," She shoves her brownie in her month,
"Next time I'll save you one." Becca Said, mouthful.
Violet and Chimney sighed shaking their heads, then looked up at the camera.
"I'm sorry you had to see this, this dark underbelly of
hour 21 in a 24 hour shift." Chimney Said
"Yeah it gets pretty mercenary around here." Violet Piped up
Right as they said that the alarm rung and everyone quickly got up, running over to the engines and ambulance truck. Taylor noticed Bobby wasn't leaving and approached the truck.
"Where's Captain Nash?" Taylor Asked
"He's sitting this one out, wrapping the shift. It's a simple med call." Chimney Said
Taylor stepped back as the fire engine and ambulance truck drove off. She quickly realized this was her one chance at interviewing Bobby, so she and her cameraman went upstairs.
"He doesn't want to talk to you." He said
"Oh he'll talk to me I am done going up in that chopper and reporting on gridlock. Come on." Taylor Said
Over near the kitchen Bobby is seen sitting at a table,ย looking down at a napkin as Taylor approaches him.
"Captain Nash, I know you don't think very highly of me. I also know that you've been avoiding me. But I want you to know I only have one goal here: to tell a story, a true story, about your station." Taylor Said
"You can have a true story there's truth around us all the time. There's truth right here on this napkin." Bobby Said, gesturing to the paper napkin on the table.
"I'm sorry?" Taylor Furrowed her brows
"Every crumb is a universe onto itself. The more you zoom in, the more you'll see." Bobby Said, pulling the camera close.
"Okay, Is he high?" The camera man asked
Laughter can be heard as Taylor and her cameraman noticed half of the department is laughing hysterically, and looking kinda lost.
"I think they're all high." Taylor Added
"These are specs of chocolate and entire worlds at the same time." Bobby Said
"Holy crap. I think it's the brownies. They've been dosed. Wait, you didn't have one, did you?"
Taylor chuckled, "Do I look like I eat fudge? Keep rolling."
Meanwhile in the back of the fire engine Becca started to feel weird. It felt as if everything was starting to move slowly, she had to blink several times to snap back into reality.
"Becca." Violet Said
Becca turned to look at her, "Yeah?"
"You okay?" Violet Asked
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be I'm great." She smiled, "Just perfect." Becca Said, holding two thumbs up.
"Uh huh." Violet Squinted her eyes at her
Eddie rubbed his eyes, "Man. Allergies are going crazy today."
"You, too, huh? The index wasn't elevated this morning. Think it's a new kind?" Buck Chimed in
"New kind of what?" Eddie Asked
"Of pollen." Buck Said
"A new kind of pollen?" Chimney Said
Eddie then looked down at his arms, "You're not feeling this, Chim?"
"No, I do not." Chimney Said
"I can see the pollen." Eddie Said, pointing in the air.
"I can hear it." Buck Said
"I can hear it too." Hen Said, as Violet and Chimney looked at them weirdly.
Over at a hotel ballroom where a child beauty pageant is being held, Athena is seen arresting a woman next to her child.
"This is ridiculous she's the one who cheated. She and her demon seed. That little girl is 11 if she's a day-I want to see the birth certificate."
"Ma'am, calm down, or I'll charge you with resisting arrest, too." Athena Said
"For what? This was self-defense. My ex-husband's a lawyer." She Said
"Oh, good. 'Cause I'm-a need you to contact him to come and pick up your daughter." Athena Said
"Hey, Athena." Violet Said
"Hey, Victim's over there." Athena nodded, as Violet and Chimney approached the victim.
"Tell him it's an emergency. Who goes to Aruba this time of year?"
"Excuse me, ma'am?" Chimney Said
The woman turned around and Violet's mouth almost dropped, as she saw a heel poking out the side of this woman's face.
"I'm trying to reach my plastic surgeon." She Said
"Okay, uh, uh, first things first. Um, your adrenaline's probably spiked, which is why you haven't passed out yet, so I'm gonna ask you, please,
just please sit right here, hold that if you can, and maybe hang up the phone, okay? Thank you. Thank you very much." Chimney Said
"All right, guys." She noticed that Buck, Becca, and Eddie we're still standing near the door, "What are they doing?" Violet Said
"Hey! Diaz, Martinez, Buckley, let's go!" Chimney Shouted
Over by the door Eddie and Buck look down strangely at the little girls near them.
"Did these beauty queens shrink, or are we suddenly giants?" Buck Questioned
"I think we're giants." Eddie Said, gasping.
On the ground Becca is sitting criss crossed, while she talks with some beauty queens.
"Are you a firefighter?" A little girl asked her
"Yeah, but you know when I was younger my dream was to always grow up and be a pretty princess." Becca Said, smiled.
"That's my dream too!" Another girl smiled
"Oh my god no way!" She gasped, "We can all be pretty princess together!" Becca Exclaimed
"Yay!" The two girls cheered
"Please don't arrest me. I-I'll pay for any medical bills if we could just let this slide. I'm so sorry. I stopped birth control because I started menopause, and now my hormones are going crazy." She Rambled on
"Uh huh get her out of here." Athena Said, as home of the cops escorted her out.
"Can I get my shoe back?" She Said
"Can someone please bring me the rest of my gear?" Chimney Shouted
Athena looked at Becca, Eddie and Buck all acting strangely and raised a brow.
"I think he means you, guys." Athena Said
"Hey, Athena. They're, like, the tiniest ladies I've ever seen. Teeny-tiny. Just..." Buck Said
"Excuse me?" Athena Said
"So tiny." Buck Said, in a whisper.
Athena then glanced down seeing Becca talking to the girls, "Becca, what are you doing on the ground?"
"Athena," She giggled, "The girls and I are playing princess...but you can't be a princess without your own crown." Becca Said, as one of the girls placed a crown on her head.
"Henrietta!" Athena Said, looking around.
Meanwhile Hen was busy observing a tall balloon, then turned as she called her name.
'Thena." Hen smiled and sniffed her, "Oh, 'Thena, you smell like love."
"Chimney? Violet! I need you guys over here," She speaks into her radio, "727-L30, requesting
immediate R.A. backup at Beverly Wilton
Hotel, Pacific Ballroom." Athena Said, as Violet and Chimney walked over.
"Where the hell is my lido..." Chimney Said
"Um we got a problem here you guys be tripping." Athena Said
"What? Guys, look at me." Chimney Said
"Guys," She waved her hands, "Do you know where you are?" Violet Asked
Eddie is seen hiding behind balloons, Buck is still freaked out by the tiny beauty pageant girls. And Becca is now standing up admiring her crown with a wide smile.
"We're everywhere, man." Eddie Said, poking his head out from behind the balloons.
"They're on drugs." Athena Sighed, as Hen begins hysterically laughing and hugs Chimney.
"Okay, okay." Chimney Said
"Becca, hey look at me do you remember anything before we got here?" Violet Asked
Becca nodded then shook her head and began laughing, and then curtsied.
"What are you doing now?" Violet Exasperated
"Greetings Princess Jasmine, I am Princess Belle nice to meet you. Would you care to eat with my friends Lumiรจre and Cogsworth," She pointed to Buck and Eddie, "They can cook up some delicious treats, I could really use a brownie right now." Becca Said
Violet's eyes widen in realization, "Oh. Oh, my God, Chim it's the brownies."
"Brownies?" Athena Said
"We got a new batch today we've been getting a lot of stuff lately, especially since the earthquake." Chimney Said
"You guys eat that stuff? We just throw that stuff right in the trash." Athena Said
"Hey, it's never good to throw treats away especially chocolate." Violet Said
"And We're firefighters. Everybody loves us." Chimney Said, patting Hen on the back.
Becca began prancing around as she felt so care free, she then pranced around Buck who couldn't help but smile at her cause she looked so cute and adorable doing it then she booped him on the nose.
"You have a cute nose Buck." Becca Said
"You have a cute smile Becca." Buck Replied, as they both giggled.
Eddie who was still observing the balloons began squeezing it, and then it popped startling everyone.
"That wasn't me." Eddie Said, holding his arms up.
A few minutes later Athena managed to detain Eddie, Hen, Buck and Becca as she worked on finding out what's wrong with them while Chimney and Violet help the woman with the shoe in her face.
"Why aren't you guys taking it out?" She Asked
"They'll take it out at the hospital." Violet Informed
"So let's go to the hospital." She Begged
We'll get you there. I called 9-1-1." Chimney Said
Athena walked over to where the four of them are, as they are getting handcuffed by officers Eddie begins crying.
"What's going on? I don't like this." Eddie Said
"Ooh, you made him cry." Buck Teased
"Don't tease him Buck that's mean." Becca Chimed in
"All right, just breathe, okay? You're gonna be okay.
All right? Somebody dosed you with an hallucinogen. We don't want you to hurt
yourself or anyone else." Athena Assured
"Yeah. I like that idea." Eddie Nodded
'Thena, your head is beating like your heart." Hen Said, with a wide smile.
"Is it?" Athena half smiles, then walked over to Chimney.
Buck who's standing next to Becca looked at her hair, and began smelling it. "Wow, Becca your hair smells amazing."
"Thanks Buck, it's honey and vanilla scented conditioner and it makes my hair so soft, feel it." Becca Whispered
Buck leaned his head on her shoulder and rubbed his skin against her hair, "It does feel so soft."
"Told you." Becca Said
"Any luck at the station?" Violet Asked
"There's still no answer, do you guys know if Bobby ate any of those brownies?" Athena Asked
Violet and Chimney thought for a second then glanced back at Athena, who's face immediately turned worriedly.
"Damn it, Chim and Violet you've got this I gotta check to see if Bobby's alright." Athena Said
"Yeah, go ahead." Chimney Said
"We'll look out for the them." Violet Said
Athena then nodded and rushed out the hotel ballroom, as Chimney and Violet looked at their four friends who's sitting down laughing with each other.

Later that day once the drug wore off thanks to the nap she took once Violet dropped her at home. Becca was now in her kitchen trying to figure out what to cook, then she heard a knock at her door.
"Who is it?" Becca Asked
"It's me Vince." He Said, as Becca then opened up the door.
"Hey." Becca Said
"Hey, look Violet called and told me what happened are you okay?" Vince Asked, entering the house.
"Yeah, I'm okay turns out the brownies that we got sent today was drugged with LSD." Becca Said
"Wow that's a strong drug." Vince Said
"No kidding I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened, but every time I think my head hurts." Becca Chuckled
"I bet, so where are the kids?" Vince Asked
"Well Bryan's at his friends house, Aryana is at cheer practice while Dylan is out with Justin. And I'm here trying pick between white or yellow rice for dinner." Becca Said
"I'd go with the white rice." Vince Said
"Yeah I was thinking that too." Becca Said
"Before you start cooking can we talk..it's important." Vince Said
"Sure." Becca Said
The two of them walked into the living room, and sat down they sat in an awkward silence before Vince spoke up.
"So I spoke to my boss again today." Vince Said
"What did he say?" Becca Asked
"Well we spent 30 minutes discussing if there's a possibility of me moving. And I told him I'd only go I if I was okay with leaving.." Vince Said
"Are you?" Becca said
"I don't know Becca this is so hard for me." Vince Said
"It's hard for me too Vince you are a good man, who came into my life when I wasn't looking for anyone. And you've made this the best year I've had in a long time, I love you so much..which is why I need you to go." Becca Said
"Becca-" Vince Said
"No Vince. I know how hard of a worker you are, and this is something that you've wanted for a long time. And I won't let you let this incredible opportunity go because of me. Who knows if you'll ever get another chance like this, which is why you have to take it Vince." Becca Said
"I wish there was way you can come to Boston, but I know the chances of that happening are zero to none." Vince Said
"You know if I could I would but-" Becca Said
"You can't cause this is your home, your job, friends and family are all here..I know." Vince Said
Becca's eyes start to feel watery, "So this is how it ends huh?"
Vince lifted her chin up then caressed it, "Yeah."
A tear slipped down her face as he wiped it with his thumb, she then leaned in and hugged him as he held her close.
Soon Taylor's mini documentary on the fire house came out and due to everyone's surprise, she actually managed to make everyone look inspiring even leaving out the bit where they got drugged which she's very thankful for.
Now that Vince was taking the job he had to quickly find a way to get a moving company to get his stuff half way across the country in a matter of days, but he somehow did.
Then came time for the part Becca was dreading, before they left Bryan, Aryana and Dylan all gave him a goodbye gifts which were cards, drawings and Dylan gave him his favorite Captain America action figure.
Becca then drove him over to the airport and she could have watched him go by waiting outside the airport. But instead she wanted to do it near his gate.
"You sure you got everything?" Becca Asked
"Yeah, everything's packed and ready to go. All my furniture and stuff will be in Boston by Tuesday I hope." Vince Said
"Okay." Becca Said
She looked around the airport seeing people say goodbye to their friends or relatives. Vince noticed how antsy she was getting then held her hand.
"You know you don't have to do this." Vince Said
"No, no I want to." Becca Said
"It's just gonna make things harder." Vince Said
"I know but..I rather do this now then regret it down the road. Plus saying goodbye like this..makes it more real." Becca Said
"I'm sorry." Vince Said
"Hey don't be...don't ever be sad for chasing your dream. Who knows in two to three years you'll be the best Financial Manger there's ever been." Becca Said, as Vince smiled.
"Man I'm gonna miss you." Vince Said
"I'm gonna miss you too and the kids as well." Becca Said
"Yeah, but hey who knows maybe in two to three years from now if I come back, and we're both single at the same time...I'll give you a call." Vince Said
"Maybe." Becca Said, with a smile.
Vince smiled at her sadly then caressed Becca's cheek and looked deeply into her eyes, before pulling her close as the two leaned in and shared one last kiss.
As their lips parted they both rested their foreheads against each other. Taking in every single second of this, then a voice echoed through the airline.
"Flight 2340 to Boston is now boarding, I repeat flight 2323 is now boarding."
Vince picked up his suitcase then walked towards his gate, he handed the woman his ticket then looked over his shoulder back at Becca as she waved goodbye at him.
"Goodbye Vince." Becca Said, softly.
"Goodbye Becca." Vince Replied, with a small smile.
She nodded to him and watched as Vince walked down the jet bridge then the door closed. Becca waited a while and watched as the plane took off, even though a part of her was sad the man she loved was gone but she also couldn't be more happy for him.
