𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲

It has been 2 weeks since the team met up with Ashley and Lukas in the woods. During that time they were preparing themselves for then. Want to know what that plan was? You'll have to wait and see.

They had also been spending as much time with their families and friends as they could, after all it was Summer break. Cassie had been spending a lot of time at Star Labs with Barry ever since she had found out about their potential future.

The rest of the team had also been spending alot of time with their families who had noticed the constant insistence to do something or to spend time together.

But their time was coming... if only they knew.

It was the day of something they liked to call ' The Heist.' They had been training for the past few weeks preparing and backup planning for this day.

They all were currently at their assigned positions. Ashton was in the museum waiting for the exhibition to be over. How was he not recognized especially in his sisters residence, Star City, the same city that has been protected by the Hood for the past 2 years? Well he had knocked out the guy who was leading the security team that would take the Diamond to the airport.

The rest of the team, meaning Bailey, Cassie, Xander, Hannah, Adira and Venus along with Lukas and Ashley were all currently spread out across the airport waiting for their signal.

Lucky for Ashley and Lukas, Luisa made them better suits that would be better for the mission.

You see their plan wasn't to steal it exactly. I mean how are a bunch of 15 and 16 year olds supposed to steal a diamond well 'diamond' that's just a bunch of tech from the future that's worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Nope their plans were to make it look like the diamond was destroyed and to leave small fragments of a different destroyed diamond it its place to the CSIs find proof of its demise and the rest...well you'll just have to wait and see.

The team had been waiting for a few minutes before seeing a group of 8 men walking huddled around the man that Ashton had shape shifted into. He was holding the case that had the Diamond in it.

Cassie was about to give the signal when the entire security team, including Ashton down
below started screaming in pain holding their heads in their hands as they fell onto their knees.

"What the hell?" Venus whispered into the comns from her position trying to see what could be causing that.

That's when they saw him. Walking towards the security guards with his fist clenched in the air. He was walking beside a tall caucasian man who looked like he was in his later 30s who was heavily armed with weapons most of them had never seen.

It took a moment to recognize who it was but once they did, well let's say that Medusa was crawling back to the surface in rage.

"Awww shit!" Cassie whisper yelled into the comns.

"What's wrong?" Venus asked the blonde.

"That is Mason Wickerson." Cassie point out.

"Who?" Xander asked.

"Not now...we'll explain later. Right now we have to take them down and get Ashton!" Bailey exclaimed trying her hardest to keep her dark side under the water.

"What about the plan?" Ashley asked.

"Screw the plan if Mason or that guy he's working with get their hands on that case its game over!" Gia exclaimed into the mic from the Bunker before the team switched on their Vns and jumped down from their posts.

The man raised his gun before aiming and firing these rays of red energy at the team coming towards his direction making Cassie use her powers to make a shield as her and Venus ran towards him.

Hannah, Xander and Adira were helping the men up as Lukas and Ashley attempted to fight Mason. Attempted meaning that it was hard for them to do so due to him being their childhood bestfriend.

Now where was Bailey you ask? She just realized that part of the plan could still work. She ran over to where Xander, Hannah and Adira were and told them that the plan could still work.

"Shit theres a bomb." Adira faked looking at the case with the Diamond.

"When the hell did that get there?" One of the men asked as Xander helped him up.

"Wait are you guys those freaks from Central City?" One of the other men asked.

"They are I'm just a girl with a bow and arrow. Come on this thing is about to explode." Adira spoke as they helped the last of the men before kicking the case with Diamond as far away as she could.

Now you see as Xander, Hannah and Adira were helping the men get as far away as they could Ashton swapped the case with a fake one that had an actual bomb on it, slipping it into his blazer.

As if it were on cue the sound of a zipline coming in and there stood not to far from the team was the green Hood guy and his apparent partner.

The two older men saw the case and started going for it as Mason and the dude with the guns ran for it.

"WAIT!" Bailey warned before the fake case exploded sending the four men closest to it across the ground.

Bailey quickly got Ashton, who was himself again up and started running, they were almost home free.

Almost.

In the clearing of the smoke Mason could see the two running to the other side. That made him get up and clenched his fist making Bailey and Ashton groan in pain, going onto their knees as they held their head with their hands.

"Where's the Diamond?" He demanded as he marched over to the duo, stepping over the unconscious body of the partner of The Hood guy.

"Its destroyed!" Bailey insisted clenching her jaw, as her eyes went black for a moment before returning to her normal ones making Ashton notice.

Medusa was feeling this too and it hurt like hell. It seemed that Mason had become more powerful and had more control over his powers since she last saw him.

"You see this... my nonresponsive friends over their and his partner hooked me up with these babies so now I don't just make you feel your worst nightmares I can make you feel some other type of pain...a different kind of pain." Mason boasted as the other members of the team tried their hardest to help their friends but it was no use.

Mason had clenched his fist once more making the others along with the hood guy and his partner, who wokr up drop to the ground, groaning, screaming in pain.

Something that wasn't explainable in this situation was how, they weren't unconscious yet.

"Shit!" Vince exclaimed from the Bunker once he saw what was happening from the CCTV footage of the airport platform.

"What's going on?" Gia asked as her and Luisa ran over to the monitors where the chair team was.

"Mason's there. He's stronger than ever. He has help not that he needs it." Alex said as be and Vincent stood up and scurried over to the weaponry and came back with two guns, well blasters they had been working on for months.

"What are you going to do?" Luisa asked as the boys cocked the blasters with the special power source they made for it.

"Get them the hell out of there." Vince bluntly replied.

"Luisa I need you to teleport us there now. We don't have much time." Alex pleaded.

"Don't tell me you're going to do what I think you're going to do?" Gia asked in concern.

"He's going to kill her, them if we don't return the favor now. I just lost my mom I'm not losing anyone else, especially my twin sister. " Alex exclaimed.

"We'll Go!" Luisa blabbed.

"Are you sure?" Gia asked the Hispanic girl.

"Gia you've been training harder and longer than everyone combined. We need your help now. Our team, our friends need our help now. And I faced the guy who almost killed me and recruited him for this. We have to go." Luisa stated makinb their two friends reluctantly agree before her and Gia went to suit up.

Back at the airport the team weren't doing so well, by now blood was streaming down their face from their nose and eyes. They were also starting to struggle to breathe and their eyes started drooping.

"Not so tough now are you?" Mason smirked before chuckling.

"Screw you." Medusa mumbled weakly in her distorted voice with her black eyes for a moment before switching back to Bailey.

Mason started making his way to Ashton before a ray of light energy shot him all the way to the plane that was just behind him. That made everyone start panting as they felt the pain go away.

They looked up and saw Luisa and Giovana, for the first time there saving their asses.

Gia's suit, which had been sitting on her mannequin for so long it started to collect dust was a tight fitting leather material like jump suit with a blue and white lighting bolt buckle on her belt. The rest of the suit had was black and dark blue along with the black boots and dark blue mask. Her curly hair was tied up, out of her face as she stood there with a smirk.

"Who the hell are you?" Masons apparent partner said in his Australian accent, the same one that Venus and Vincent recognized.

"The names Surge...bitch! And you just messed with the wrong team." Gia snapped before the man tried to shot making Luisa use her powers to throw him the same direction as Mason.

Gia and Luisa quickly helped up the others before Luisa went over to the hood guys and Giovana went over to his partner. There was a weird feeling between the two but they shrugged it off before the two men left.

"I know what you're trying to do!" The Australian man assumed as he limped out the wreckage of the plane.

"Enlighten me!" Luisa barked back.

"You're trying to save yourselves. But you can't change your destiny! If you don't die, someone else will. It'll make you wish it was you instead." He said as he helped an unconscious Mason and put his arm over his shoulder.

The team huddled together before Luisa teleported them back to the Bunker while the words of the Australian man rang in her ears making her think, what if he's right?.

But in the year that comes

This is literally the longest chapter I've written in a while.

If you can see I am foreshadowing book  2 yall finna hate me but it'll make sense in book 3.

So I've decided to split the original length of this chapter into two so chapter 32 won't be the final chapter, chapter 33 will be because  I couldn't write anymore.

Any who the end is drawing near.
