𝙈𝙔 𝙏𝙃𝙊𝙐𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙎 : this book is literally THEE book that got me into writing and reading. i believe i read this in the 6th grade and i just fell in LOVE as soon as i finished the summary on the back cover. i think i love it so much because i find myself so relatable to the character, Lara Jean, like i'm asian, i'm a hopeless romantic, i literally WROTE love letters, like cmon now it's like jenny han wrote it about me 🙄.

i also love it so much because this was the first ever book i read that had an asian lead so that really meant a lot to me, and even though jenny han wrote Lara Jean as wasian she didn't completely forget about her asian roots which i appreciated. there is a movie franchise adapted of the books, but i think the books tell you a different side to Lara Jean's character. it shows a lot more of Lara Jean's relationship with not only peter but with her dad, her sisters and her friends and i think the movie really missed a lot on it. i have so much i can say about the movie franchise but i'll leave it at that.

the plot line is very interesting, a different one than the teen romance books i read, so this was very refreshing. the books also aren't cringe like the movies soooo. there's a good amount of drama along with romance and the whole book just makes you giddy (for me.)

this is literally my favorite book of all time, i can reread it literally any day of the year and never get tired of it. the book also makes me very giddy (is that the right word?) or like swoon, idk but it's very cute and lifted my expectations for a high school relationship. also do you guys want me to review the other two books in the trilogy ?
