Dev's POV

I woke up with a cold sweat, and a voice booming at me wake-up. 

"Dev, are you alright?" I heard a very concerned voice when my eyes fluttered open. I saw brown curls and the same cheeky brown eyes. I sucked in a breath of air when I gaped in surprise. 

Charu?

"You've been asleep for ten hours," She smiled and snuggled closer toward me. "I didn't have the heart to wake you up, you looked so peaceful."

Which was when it hit me like a bucket of ice-cold water.

It was all just a dream-

"Dev, are you alright? Your grinning like an idiot," She smiled, and gently smacked my forehead. I let out a sigh of pure relief, and her smile faded. "Dev, are you feeling fine?"

"I'm fine, Charu." I smiled at her, taking her hand to my lips, I pressed a kiss on it. She raised an eyebrow but didn't question it. I saw a ring on her finger, it was identical to the one I was wearing. 

"Looks like Mini Dev's hungry," She winced and touched her swollen stomach, I smiled.

"What are you craving for today?" I teased and she huffed, 

"Strawberries," She admitted sheepishly and I kissed her forehead,

"Anything for you," I murmured and got off the bed. I saw the pup that we adopted and named 'Spots'. As usual, he ignored me and looked around for Charu.

Sheesh, what'd I ever do to you, Spots?

Spots yelped with joy and rushed past me, I turned around and saw Charu. 

"You need to rest," I started but she laughed, 

"I'm not a china doll, Dev." She assured me and started to pet Spots.

"Mama...?" A drowsy voice mumbled from the direction of the staircase, and I turned around to see mini Dhristi. She blinked a few times, and gestured for me to lift her up. Which I did, in just a few minutes, she fell back asleep on my shoulder.

I brought her back to her room and laid her down. I saw Charu starting to log in to computer, I folded my arms and repeated her eyebrow raise.

"Fine!" She rolled her eyes and closed the laptop, I smiled and plopped down on the couch beside her.

"I love you," I mumbled and rested my head in the crook of her neck.

"Dev, I love you too." She smiled and the two of us stayed that way for a while.

That is until one of us needed to change Dhristi's diaper.

...Which ended up being me

I looked at her, and felt an urge to kiss her. I gently tilted her chin in my direction, and she placed her hand on my cheek. When our lips brushed, I held her closer to me.

It's all just a dream, just a simple dream

Charu's still mine

"Papa... I need to go to the bathroom-"
