ALL GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL
kwon jae-sung x sasha larusso

Sasha LaRusso always felt like she was in the middle—not just in age but in everything. Born just a year after Sam, she was neither the baby of the family nor the firstborn, which often left her feeling overlooked. Growing up, her dad, Daniel LaRusso, taught both her and Sam karate. Sasha loved those early days of learning forms and sparring with her sister. She wasn't as competitive or fiery as Sam, but she loved the discipline and balance karate brought into her life.
As the years went on, however, Sasha slowly drifted away from karate. The drama surrounding her sister and the rivalries with Cobra Kai were overwhelming, and Sasha preferred to keep her head down, focusing on her schoolwork and her dog, Comet. She didn't want any part of the chaos, believing she could live her life peacefully outside the dojo.
That changed on December 19th.
Sasha was in her room when she first heard the crashing downstairs. It sounded like a thunderstorm had somehow erupted in their house. Confused, she peered out of her door and froze when she saw what was happening. Cobra Kai students were fighting Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang right in her own home. She heard Sam shouting, the sounds of fists meeting flesh, and the sickening crash of furniture breaking. For the first time, Sasha truly realized how deep her sister and dad were in this fight—and how unprepared she was to protect herself if the chaos reached her.
That night, she made a decision. She needed to relearn karate.
Sasha joined Miyagi-Do a few weeks later, committing herself to training with the same dedication she'd had as a kid. It wasn't just about self-defense anymore; it was about reclaiming her sense of security and control. By the time the All Valley tournament came around, Sasha was more than ready to prove herself.
To everyone's surprise—including her own—Sasha advanced to the finals. It was an incredible feeling, standing on that mat under the bright lights, hearing her family and friends cheer her on. Her opponent was Tory Nichols, someone Sasha had heard countless stories about. She knew Tory was tough, but Sasha held her ground, matching her move for move.
Then it happened.
Tory accidentally struck Sasha in the eye during a fast-paced exchange. The pain was blinding, and Sasha faltered. She tried to push through it, but the damage was done. Tory won, and Sasha lost.
The defeat crushed her. She'd come so close, only to fall short in a way that felt utterly unfair. That loss sent Sasha into a downward spiral. The once-sunny girl who loved murder mystery movies and long walks with Comet seemed to disappear. In her place was someone colder, someone who dyed her hair blonde as if to shed her old identity entirely. She stopped smiling as much and pulled away from her family and friends.
The one person who refused to let her spiral completely was Miguel Diaz. Miguel, her sister's boyfriend and one of her closest friends, wasn't afraid to call her out. At the waterpark one summer afternoon, Miguel cornered Sasha after she lashed out at Sam and her friends.
"This isn't you, Sasha," Miguel told her, his tone firm but caring. "You're shutting everyone out and acting like you're the only person who's ever lost something. But you're not. You need to stop pushing people away and actually deal with this."
Sasha tried to brush him off, but his words hit her hard. She broke down in tears right there, admitting how lost she felt and how much she hated the person she was becoming. That moment was a turning point.
With Miguel's encouragement, Sasha started seeing a therapist. She worked through her feelings of inadequacy and disappointment and began to rediscover the parts of herself she thought she'd lost. She dyed her hair back to its natural brunette, symbolizing a return to her true self. Slowly but surely, Sasha began to shine again.
Now, she was preparing for the Sekai Taikai, one of the biggest karate tournaments in the world. She felt stronger and more confident than ever. But what Sasha didn't anticipate was the curveball life was about to throw her—a connection with Kwon Jae-Sung, a teammate from Cobra Kai.
Jae-Sung was everything Sasha had sworn to avoid—charming, a little cocky, and part of a dojo that had caused her family so much pain. But beneath his tough exterior, there was a depth to him that intrigued her. As they spent more time training and competing together, Sasha found herself drawn to him in a way she couldn't explain.
For the first time in a long time, Sasha was ready to embrace whatever came her way—even if it meant breaking a few of her own rules along the way.
