Moonlit Gardens
I pull Nicasia into a soft embrace, glad that she accepts my apology, but I still need to let my actions speak for themselves.
"Nicasia, would you care to take a walk with me?" I gesture to the secluded moonlit gardens towards our right.
She regards me for a hesitant second, "Okay,"
And I lead the way.
Under the soft glow of the moon, I and Nicasia wander through the gardens, the silvery light casting delicate shadows on the flower-strewn cobblestone path. I walk with my usual air of arrogance, my dark eyes gleaming with a mixture of joy and pride.
I glance sideways at Nicasia, whose beauty seems even more ethereal under the night sky. Her long, silver hair cascades over her shoulders, shimmering like liquid moonlight, and her eyes sparkle with a knowing confidence.
I reach out and takes Nicasia's hand, my fingers curling possessively around hers.
"You know, Nicasia," he says, my voice low and smooth, "even the moon pales in comparison to your radiance tonight."
I smirks, knowing the effect my words have on her. Nicasia smiles, a hint of amusement playing on her lips, as if she has heard such flattery many times before but still finds pleasure in it.
We walk in silence for a few moments, the only sound the soft rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets. I pull her closer, my arm sliding around her waist.
"Do you ever think about what lies beyond these gardens?" he asks, his tone suddenly more serious.
Nicasia looks up at him, her eyes reflecting the moon's light. "Sometimes," she admits, "but I find that the most enchanting mysteries are right here, within our reach."
Cardan's smirk returns, and he leans in to press a gentle kiss on her cheek, savoring the moment.
