Puzzle

This chapter and another is dedicated to puzzle making. Puzzles are something that can get the readers to ponder on. And depends on the genre, it is a good way to engage the audience. But do not go overly complicate the puzzle on non-psychological mystery stories. It can deter readers as it is nothing what the readers want to read on. Here is the first:

Answer:

Pyrotank's universes have mostly connected characters. But the "Snow Child" in the story the Ice Monster is not part of the connected multiverse. In fact, this character is in a separate group of characters in an isolated universe.

This is a two chapter piece. I am doing this as to teach everyone about puzzles. Puzzles are great if it is relative to the story, as foreshadowing within or in another. But there is a downfall: If the reader isn't interested or if the puzzle is not relative, then the reader gets mad or felt robbed.

The first puzzle is something related to myself. But it is easily solved. This is called the backwards text puzzle. This is one of the simplest. Leonardo Da Vinci has a hand in the history of it. I'm not getting into much about. All I just want, to inform about this puzzle.

The second puzzle is the directed change of font/highlight.

Wonder how it works? I could give you an example. If you read carefully, you'll see it. The stories can work like this. If you don't this this yet, let me help.

It said: How an example carefully work.

See it now?

I do this a lot in some of my stories. One important thing about it is, that it has to be intended. Meant to be found to tell a message. It has to relate to the story currently, or another of your works tied in together in the same story universe.

A third puzzle is the word swap. This should be used into the mystery stories. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS. The wrong word swap can be ignored and ruin the puzzle. Example:

Original: May is lured into a trap. Her sister fell and failed to save.

Incorrect: May fell and failed into a trap. Her sister is lured to save.

This is obviously a fail. I just wanted to make it so obvious. If you are word swapping, make sure to highlight the words with Italics, Bold, or Underlining. Do not use a combination of the three. As it is a strain on the eyes. Too much emphasis ruins highlighting.

Correct way: May fell into a trap. Her sister is lured, and failed to save.

This example is verbs swapping on purpose to mislead the readers on what actions were done. But a careful reader will notice the Italics. However I am advising writers to use this sparingly. And I suggest to use it in a misleading foreshadow in mystery/detective stories.

The fourth is called the First word puzzle. Obvious in nature about the puzzle. But detecting is up to the readers. Example:

Do consider your audience.

You need to think of whether or not to include this.

Know, your audience. Checking the demography of the story can help determine on whether to use it of not.

I know it is not easy.

Like it or not, it is rewarding when it is figured.

Puzzles, I think to ponder on it.

Now tell me, what does the puzzle say? As I already told you how to check it. I know it is just a general statement. But it is true. Otherwise I wouldn't be making these two chapters.

If you don't know, it said: Do you know I like puzzles.

The fifth puzzle is call the last word puzzle. In order for it to be read correctly, I advise the paragraphing to be align right. Example:

What to do about this

I don't know what this is

This puzzle is what

Confused to me, I

Couldn't understand what it mean

I know to the English reading people that it is uncomfortable. But the alignment helps decipher the message of the puzzle. I have one more to share before the more advanced ones.

Character speech puzzles is my final one in this chapter. What is it? A foreshadowing with a double meaning. Example:

"Hi, Meghan, what is that you are holding?"

"I am making a trap. Care to help me? Good. Now hold this box. And let me pick up this stick."

Meghan smacks her friend in the head.

Wait, what? If you look carefully, the words "a trap" is in Italicized. It is to indicate there is a trap. Indeed, Meghan traps her friend by having the friend hold the box, so she can smack that friend.
