Webs- A Seawing egg of deepest blue
(Before Jade mountain, during war)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was flying over the sea, the smell of salt and fish filled my nose. I was searching, searching for scull island. Why? Because that was my new lookout. The day before, Queen Coral assigned me to a new place to watch for enemy attacks.
Scull rock was near he summer palace, so it was easy to bring my wife and my two year old son to live with me.
A dark object loomed out of the water below me, I tilted my wings and went into a dive. My wife Current followed, holding Riptide in her talons, we landed in one of the caves that represented the sculls eye.
It was cramped in the small cave, but it would have to do.
"Finally, we're here," Current sighed. She wasn't that happy with moving to this gloomy, dark place.
"It's only for a while," I wrapped my wing around her. "And I told you, you can live underwater with Riptide until I come home."
She turned to face me, "And I told you that I don't want to leave you, dear."
I ducked my head, I didn't want to drag my family into this.
"But if you were down there," I nudged her, "you could look for the deepest blue egg."
She faintly smiled. We were from the talons of peace, assigned to find the Seawing egg that fit the prophesy. But after that, I would have to live under the mountain for eight years, away from my family.
"Daddy?" Riptide spoke for the first time on the trip, "is this our new home?"
"Yes it is," I smiled.
As the sun started to disappear below the sea, I laid down beside Current who was curled around Riptide.
"Goodnight Webs," she yawned.
And that was the last thing I remember before I fell asleep

"Webs!" A deep voice hissed.
I jolted into consciousness.
"W-what?" I growled as I jumped up.
I saw a male Seawing, his scales were deep blue- Commander Shark.
"There's been a change of plans," he grunted, "Queen Coral is sending Barracuda instead."
"Oh," I was startled.
I couldn't see Current or Riptide anywhere as I looked around.
"I've already sent them back," He replied to my gesture of confusion, "your coming to the palace with me."
And with saying that he turned and leaped out of the cave, a splash said we were swimming. I dove out and into the ocean.
I let the cool salt water run through my gills. I lashed my tail back and forth, propelling me forward until I found a current. Angling my wings, I caught it, this would take us to the deep palace.

Shark and I shot out of the strong current, and into the Seawing kingdom.
'Follow' Shark signalled in aquatic.
'Okey' I replied.
We swam towards the palace. The massive structure built of coral was encrusted with emeralds, pearls and sapphires. When we were inside, we took a turn to the royal hatchery.
'Queen Coral had two more girl eggs' he flashed, 'we need more guards'
I nodded and looked inside, there were two eggs laying beside each other. One turquoise one and the other... the deepest blue egg I'd ever seen. That was the egg for the prophesy! They both glowed faintly, they were about to hatch in a few days.
'I'll do it!' I flashed back at him, excitement ran from my talons to my wing tips.
'Webs!' Current waved, 'come here, I left Riptide with his uncle, Ripple.'
'Current! You'll never believe it!' I swam in a flurry of bubbles towards her.
'What?' She tilted her head.
'Come' I led her to a private space, where no one could see their conversation.
'I found it!' I grinned from horn to horn.
'Found what... no, the egg?' She opened her mouth in awe, then quickly shut it, 'who's egg?'
I cringed, I knew stealing eggs was bad. But from my Queen?
'The Queen.' I lowered my head.
Her startled expression told me everything.
'The Queen what?' Shark swam towards us, with a suspicious glare.
Oh no, did he see us?
'The Queen is so generous to of let Webs work here' Current smiled a very well hidden fake smile. 'We were so cramped at scull island.'
Shark nodded, unsure weather to believe her or not. 'Yes, your very lucky.'
He continued to swim past us, not looking back. Current and I let out a muffled sigh, that was a close one.
'Up' I gestured.
She nodded in agreement, we could not risk continuing down here.
We swam up to the surface, light shimmered above as schools of fish swam by.
As soon as we came out of the water and into the sky, Current spoke.
"THE QUEEN?" She yelled.
I hushed her, there could be spies anywhere. We flew to the nearest island to continue the conversation.
"Yes," I whispered, "worst of all, it's a girl."
"No," she silently gasped, "but..."
"I know, but I have a plan," I told her.
We spent the rest of the evening going over the plan, I made sure it was clear to her what we were to do. I did not have duty tonight, but I was supposed to feed the guards posted there. Current was to put the yellow anemone juice (a rare anemone) into their food, the juice would make the guards pass out, making it easy to steal the egg.
"So I'll leave Riptide with his uncle?" She spoke softly.
"Yes," I nodded, "he'll only get in our way."
Just then Shark exploded out of the water, followed by three others.
"There's a fleet of Icewings coming our way!" He roared, "Webs, come."
I held Current's talons in mine, "I'll make it back, go underwater where it's safer."
And with those last words, I took off into the sky and followed Shark.
Looking back, I saw Current's worried expression before she dove to go look for the yellow anemone.
As our army of five flew towards the distant glittering scales, many more Seawing solders joined us. Soon enough, our army looked as big as the Icewing's.
Dragons roared their battle cries as the Icewings and few Sandwings clashed with Seawings. A Sandwing dove towards me, talons outstretched. I spiralled out of the way and slammed my tail across his head. He roared in pain and furry and blasted fire at my wings, I tried to doge but I felt searing pain run along my neck. Cringing, I raked my talons across his face and dove.
Before I got to the water, the Sandwing grabbed my tail and yanked me up. He jabbed his poisonous tail towards my heart, I grabbed it and pulled it down. We plunged into the water, grappling each other as we went. I slammed my tail into his chest, knocking the air out of him. I held him down against the coral, making sure his tail couldn't move. He squirmed and struggled, but after a few seconds he stopped moving and went still. Just to make sure, I jabbed my talons through his heart.
I slowly backed away, and then burst out of the water. And then I realized that I had an egg to steal, so I turned and flew in the direction of the deep palace.
"Webs!" Shark roared, "where are you going? Get ba..."
I dove into the ocean, blocking the words from entering my ears. Catching the current to the palace again, I swept off into the deep.

As I entered the palace, Current swam towards me in a flurry of bubbles.
Looking at my bloody talons and charred neck, she flashed, 'are you okey? I thought there was only Icewings?'
'A few Sandwings,' I flinched as she wrapped seaweed around my gills, 'that will be the last dragon that dies under my talons.'
She smiled faintly at my promise I made, 'the food is prepared.'
She pulled out a package of fish and handed it to me. 'perfect,' I wrapped my wings around her, 'go.'
She nodded and swam away, I did not want the Queen to think that she helped me.
'Here' I flashed at the guards.
They ate with no question, and a few minutes later, the fell to the ground in a deep slumber. I swam into the warm hatchery and picked up the egg with no hesitation .
On the way out, Seawings turned and gasped at what I held in my talons.
'Webs!' Whirlpool signalled to me, 'what are you doing? Put it back!'
I propelled myself up, but no one chased me. As I reached the surface I could see in the distance that Blaze's army was retreating.
I flew the opposite way, towards the mountains in the Skywing kingdom. I had done it, I had stolen the princess.
