Glory's PoV

Glory was having a nice and lovely stroll in the rainforest, but something was off. It was so quiet. The birds weren't chirping, the insects weren't buzzing and the frogs were silent. It was very creepy, but Glory didn't mind.

She continued on until she reached a large, sparkling lake. It was so beautiful and the smell of the flowers around it was amazing. She was so occupied with the scenery that she didn't notice that she was been followed. Until, something tapped her shoulder. Before she could have turned her head, a black blur jumped onto her. Glory shrieked as the two rolled into the lake. When Glory resurface, she was Deathbringer laughing.

She quickly shoved him under and began to laugh. However, when Deathbringer resurfaced, he began to shake and her and yelled, " Wake up Glory!"

When Glory opened her eyes, she signed in annoyance as she realised that she was dreaming the entire time. Her brother, Jambu, was shaking her with a concerned look on his face.

" What is it, Jambu" Glory asked as she got up of her hammock.

" Well, t-there was a letter that was sent to you and it had a red note that said ' Urgent', so I came to wake you up." Responded Jambu

" Where is Deathbringer," Glory asked, wondering about where her bodyguard was.

" He went to see the letter," Jambu stated quickly , " we have to go now!"

Jambu ran out of the hut and jumped onto a tree branch. Glory sprinted after him and joined him on the branch. They jumped and began to swing on through the vivid rainforest, till they reached the palace. Glory jumped onto the platform and walked into the palace where Deathbringer was waiting for her.

" Three moons, where were you?" Asked Deathbringer surprised by how late she was.

" Well, you didn't wake me up" Glory retorted sarcastically rolling her eyes,

" Fine, but you shouldn't have stayed late yesterday night then" Deathbringer responded with his significant smug face.

" Okay, but where is this all important letter" Glory asked, trying to change the subject. Her scales were turning a light pink that she was trying to fight off.

Deathbringer causally toss the letter to Glory. She jumped and caught it. The letter was brown scroll with the emblem of the Sandwing Kingdom and tied together by a piece of fine red silk. Glory quickly opened the scroll and began to read the familiar talon-writing of Thorn.

" Well, what does it say" Deathbringer asked with a hint of curiosity.

" It says that Thorn is organising a ' Queen Meetup' in a day from now at the secret cave in Jade Mountain" Glory stated before she rolled up the scroll and gave it to Deathbringer. Deathbringer shot a puff of fire and burned the scroll.

" So, are we going now?" Deathbringer asked.

" Well, we should so let's pack for the trip," Glory ordered.

It was noon of the next day, Glory and her party flew across the rocky mountain range, they are about to reach their destination when Glory stopped. She felt eyes in her and not that of her group of guards. The mountain was eerily silent and glistened malicious from the noon sun.

Then, the mountains began to sing. They sang a eerie and unsettling song.

Glory flew around in confusion, trying to find the source of the sound, but was snapped out of her frenzy by Deathbringer.

" Wow, Glory clam down, its just a very creepy song" Deathbringer reasoned, but even he was entranced by the song and look around for a possible source.

" Search for the possible source of this sound this," Glory ordered the guards to scan the area. The rainwing guards nodded and flew throughout the mountain range. Several minutes later, they returned with nothing to show for their efforts.

" Let's just reach the cave and forget that this even happened," Deathbringer suggested looking around cautiously for any sign of danger.

"Agree, but we should probably warn Thorn about this," Glory responded and she continued to fly towards the meeting point. Deathbringer joined her together and as they were about to land.

" HA HA HA HA HA haaaaaa", bellowed a loud and terrifying voice erupted above with the ferocity of a cat speaking to a mouse" so, there you all are."
