Kaoru P.O.V

 I've known Momoko for 3 years now. It was 2 years ago a few day after her Mom died that she started acting weird. She became a bigger crybaby that Miyako. Anyway, lately I haven't seen her cry or show any emotion at all. I wanted to be the one who was there for her but Momoko wouldn't let me in. It wasn't like she didn't believe I could save her, it was more like all of her fate in herself being save was gone. Every time I looked into Momoko's eyes, It always scared me, her eyes looked died and lifeless.  It was felt like I was looking into a hollow shell. Then he came along, Brick. Momoko, she starting to change again hated the fact that the person she needed the most wasn't her best friends, I mean I love her like a sister. The one see needed the Most was him, Brick Jojo the leader of the rowdyruff boy. I haven't seen Momoko smile in years but I believe that as long as Brick's with her, she'll smile again. 

"Hey, Kaoru noticed anything different about Momoko" Miyako asked me.

"Yeah, what do you think about it?" I asked back.

"I makes me mad! I'm her best friend, she's like a sister to me but I couldn't do anything for her" Miyako stated.

For a fraction of a second as I stared at Momoko, I saw a grin on her face. It was big but it was something. The wind blow my hair back, I stared at Momoko. I felt a distance, like a wall was in front of us. I felt that the harder I tried to pull her up, the farther she falls but at the same time I want to try harder. 

"Momoko come over here, she look a little happy" Miyako said.

I nodded and smiled, but deep down I felt like a failure as a friend. I after a while she ran taught back over here. Miyako and I were both smiling.

"Is there something wrong guys, you don't seem very happy" Momoko asked with a worried look on my face.

How is it she can see passed my fake smile. Miyako smile must be fake too, she most be feeling the same way I am.

"Nah, we're good" I said putting my hands on the back of my head.

"You sure, you guys don't look too happy, What on your mind?" Momoko asked me.

"Yeah, Momoko we really are but you on the other  hand tell us what going on with you and Brick" Miyako smirked changing the subject.

I smirked and looked at her.

"What are you guys talking about Brick and I are just friends" Momoko blushing and looking the other way.

"But you definitely like him don't you" I smirked.

"Shhhhhhh" Momoko shushed and put her hand on my lips, "To be in love with Brick is one thing but for him to love someone like me is another"

I smiled and grabbed Momoko's right hand. Miyako grabbed Momoko's left hand. We ran off down the street to a  field. I was getting dark but the sunset was so beautiful. We walked onto my grass. It kind of tickled my feet. I smiled looking at the settings sun.

"Momoko, I want you to know, we love you and if you ever need us we'll be there" Miyako said.

"Momoko please let us back in, you  try so hard alone" I said looking her in the eyes, "We'll here and we could never hate you so be yourself"

"Thank you"Momoko made a small grin, it was better than the one before.

"Momoko, tomorrow let go to the candy store" I said and Miyako nodded.

"But why?"Momoko asked looking up.

"You love candy a lot, you use to ask us to go with you all the time but we never wanted to go and kept giving you excuses"  Miyako stated.

"Yeah and we took you for granted until we realized that you were slowly drifting away, I know you still love candy and we want to take you there" I said smiling, she looked at me.

Tears started to fall from her eyes. It was really dark by now and the stars were shining bright.

"I've alway thought I was bothersome to you guys. I was always try so hard to make you guy not be bothered by me but I only ended up hurting you guys" Momoko sobbed.

"Momoko listen to my song, ok" I said getting up.

I hope my feeling get through to her. I hope she understands that as long as she with us, she doesn't have to try so hard. She just had to be herself. I stood up and try looked at me. I stuck a deep breath and started to sing!

When I stopped singing, Momoko and Miyako hugged me. It was really happy, no one beside Butch as ever heard me sing. Momoko please don't try so hard for us! We love you just the way you are.
