Aura's pov:

"School is closed for a month?! Are you kidding me?" Flo complained as we sat down for lunch at our usual table, pushed to the farthest corner of the cafeteria. " I know, I know, " I sigh, slumping back in my chair, "Though I think it's gonna last way longer than just a month". "It's not as if we don't have to attend classes. We still have to do classes and homework and give tests, but the only difference is we don't get to see our friends, which is the best and only good part about school." Scarly says while unwrapping her chicken roll. "I am gonna miss you guys so much and just know that I love you guys a lot and you guys mean a lot to me. Even though you get me in trouble multiple times. EVERYDAY." We just snicker slightly hearing that as Zach says "Quit the drama boy, we're gonna be quarantined, not dead". Uh oh, kinda jinxed it again. Cody just rolls his eyes and shakes his head, muttering something along the lines of "they never take me seriously" under his breath.

"Okay c'mon guys, it's the last day of actual school for a while and possibly the last day we get to spend together this year (academic). We're gonna make the most of it right?" Andy asks looking at us as we all just nod in unison cause it really isn't us if we don't end it on a high note.

"Alright so we have about 4 hours to out-do everything we've done this year and make sure we have a memorable end to another iconic era of our friendship. What do you guys have in mind?" Scarly questioned as we started brainstorming ideas.

" We can skip classes, hangout in our secret base(which basically was the abandoned janitor closet) , do more pranks etc."

"No! No more pranks!" protested Cody.

We all chucked as he continued to plead. Our bond is very unique. We all show our love for each other in various different ways and none of them are normal. Guess that's what makes our friendship special.

I frowned thinking that I wouldn't be able to see these crazy bunch of people for the next month. I would be stuck with my family and would have to mask my emotions 24/7.Andy noticed the look of disappointment on my face.

"Hey you alright?" he asked. He was one of the only two people who knows about my family issues. The other person was of course Scarly.

I looked at him for a few seconds before giving him a forced smile. I don't want to bother him with my stupid problems again. I have bothered him enough.

"Yeah I'm fine. " I lied.

Andy narrows his eyes at me. He thinks for some time. I can see that he doesn't believe my lie but decides not to push it further. I swear to god this boy can see right through me like I'm transparent. He nods and turns back to eating his burger.

Well that's what I thought until I saw him steal my fries. I swatted his hand away and he gave me the puppy eyes to which I just rolled my eyes.

After lunch, we headed to our Chemistry class. Fun Fact - we six have all the same classes. Today we were supposed to do the elephant toothpaste experiment. We all changed into our lab coats along with goggles and gloves. Andy decided it would be more fun if we took double the amount of substances that we needed.

The teacher like usual dozed off after shouting instructions at us. We all smirked and started the experiment. As soon as we poured the active yeast mixture into the hydrogen peroxide and dishwasher mixture, everything became slow mo.

I watched as the reaction took place and the foam hit the ceiling, the vents and the lights. Some even few off to other people's desks. Everyone stood startled while the teacher was still sleeping. Then everyone started to do the same. Within a matter of seconds, the classroom was covered with foam. We all laughed, that is until the drama queen aka Isabelle got foam stuck in her golden locks of her so called hair. She shrieked which in turn woke Mr. Sleepypants . He looked around frantically and almost fainted on spot. I felt sorry for the guy and our janitor who would have to clean all this up. Before Mr. Sleepypants could say anything, the bell rang and all of us left as quickly as possible. Thanks bell, our forever savior.

"That was totally awesome! " exclaimed Flo.

"Did you see the look on Isabelle's face?"

"I know right and poor Mr. Sleepypants"

"Feel sorry for the janitor though"

We all talked while going to our base.

"Guys wanna have chocolate pudding?" Flo suddenly asked.

"Girl lunchtime is over. Where would you find chocolate pudding now?" replied Zach.

" I know the lock combination of the cabinet where the lunch lady keeps the puddings..." Flo shrugged. I shook my head. Typical Flo.

Zach and Flo went to get us some chocolate puddings or more like sneak us some while me, Scarly, Andy and Arsen headed to the janitor's closet.

The janitor room was small but cozy. We first discovered it during 7th grade. From them on, it was our secret base at school. It took some time to fix the room but it was worth it. Minus the weird looks we got when we brought the old t.v.

The room consisted of a small couch and ceiling filled with fairy lights. There was an old t.v and a small wooden table too. The t.v was Zach's old and broken one which we managed to fix. Even though it had no signal, we watched movies there with pendrives. Something about this place screams home. Maybe because we have so many memories here.

Arsen unlocked the door and we went inside. Andy sat on the couch while Scarly transferred movies into the pendrive.

My head started to ache. Oh great another migraine I thought bitterly to myself. I laid down on the couch with my head in Andy's lap and my feet over Arsen's knees. Scarly sat down beside Andy.

"Migraine again?" she asked.

"Yeah." I replied. She gave me a sympathetic smile. Scarly also had frequent migraines like me. That was yet another of the things we had in common.

Flo and Zach came back, both of them looking flustered. Arsen gave them a questioning look and Scarly raised her eyebrow at them. They both shrugged and came over to sit on the couch only to find that there wasn't any space left.

"Seriously guys..." groaned Zach.

"Quit whining. Sit down on the floor or bring the chair and Flo can sit on Zach's lap. Simple." said Andy.

Flo's ear turned slightly red. "No thanks!" they both said at the same time.

Flo sat on Scarlette's lap while Zach took the chair.

"Where's our pudding?" I asked. Zach handed each of us chocolate puddings from his backpack and we started the movie.

Now everytime we start a movie, we can never properly finish it. There has to be some interruptions in between, either it's a food fight or school work or family issues. This time it was a food fight.

We all were foodies so naturally chocolate puddings were not enough. We have an extra stash of popcorns and candies underneath the small table.

In the middle of the movie, Andy attacked my popcorn. I tried to hit him but ended up hitting Scarly. Scarly wanted to hit us but forgot that Flo was in her lap so when she turned Flo dropped to the ground. On cue Flo groaned and kicked Arsen and he fell off the couch with a loud thud. Funny thing is he fell on Zach who had moved onto the floor in front of us and the position they were in was not a pleasant sight.

We were all laughing and Andy took this opportunity to throw me off. My back hit the ground and I lunged at Andy, taking Scarly with me in the process. I threw leftover puddings at Andy while he tried to throw popcorn at me. (key word - tried) The popcorns got stuck in Scarly's hair and she scowled. She then tackled Andy to the ground again and they both ended up on top of each other. Arsen whistled and we all laughed.

We are crazy psychopaths and we are fine with that as long as we have each other. The movie was long forgotten and we started cleaning up the mess we made.

Florence's pov :

"You guys think if we buried a body here, anyone would ever find it?" I asked as I collected some popcorn off the floor.

"The fact that you're even asking that scares me" replied Zach as he arranged the cushions on the couch. "No like you know, if we ever need to, in the future" I clarified.

"Why would we need to hide a body? Who are you planning to kill, woman?" questioned Cody, this time. "Typical Florence honestly," said Andy, "That day she asked me how long it takes for a body to dissolve in lye."

"Hey it's not my fault that I am curio-" I couldn't finish the sentence as I tripped over the carpet and fell face first with a thud.

"Did you just fall?" asked Zach.

"No, just checking if gravity still works, apparently it does! '' I retorted. Honestly this guy asks dumber questions than dumbo the elephant(who is adorable by the way). Yeah see that's the thing. The elephant can't even ASK questions.

"Children, children, now don't quarrel. Here's a lollipop for you both. Now say sorry to each other." said Arsen sarcastically.

"Do you remember me asking for your opinion? Yeah me neither." I said.

"Ohhh! Flo on fire today..." said Andy.

"Jeez guys shut up!" groaned Aura, "y'all talk too much".

"What's up with her? Why is her 'miss cranky pants' mode on?" I asked, nodding at Aura.

"Migraine..... " replied Scarly , and I just simply nod in understanding.

"Aww babycow it's gonna be okay." I coo at Aura. She just rolls her eyes, shaking her head.

"You have really weird nicknames, don't you?" Arsen asked me, "like why in hell, would you call someone a babycow?"

"Heyyy! What? It's cute!" I shoot back.

"Is not." said Zach, once again giving his unwanted input.

" You have weird definitions of cute." mumbled Andy.

"What was that?" I glared at Andy.

"Nothing. Do you still carry the painkiller?"

"Um yes duh! Why?"

"Give it to miss cranky pants here." he said nodding at Aura.

"This girl literally carries around every shop to have ever existed, in her bag" stated Scarly in amazement.

"Well at least it comes in handy" I reply.

"No I won't take painkillers but thanks for your concern sweetie. " says Aura banging on the side of her head with her fists.

"Oh c'mon! Don't do that! Or else we really WILL have to hide a body here, and it'll be yours." Scarly says to Aura.

" Please do. I hate this!" exclaimed Aura, shooting her hands up to exaggerate.

"Oh shut up and just take the painkillers, will you?" said Cody giving her a fed up look.

"Do you not understand English? Or are you deaf? I clearly said no." retorted Aura.

"Okay fine, calm down and just sleep or at least lay down for a bit? You'll feel better." said Scarly as Aura nodded tiredly. She once again laid down on Andy's lap and put her feet over Arsen's.

Andy began to play with Aura's hair and she swatted him away again so Andy sighed and put his face in the crook of Scarly's neck. I watched her immediately stiffen for a bit before taking a deep breath and relaxing again. What was that about? I thought. Something was clearly going on but I decided not to think too much about it.

We all went back to watching the movie, with the volume turned down so that Aura could sleep. I looked at the screen, not comprehending what was going on as I remembered what happened when me and Zach went to get the puddings.

Flashback :

"Do you think tomato sauce is jam?" Zach asked as we made our way to the back entrance of the cafeteria. Great topic to talk about, idiot.I thought.

"It's not, otherwise it wouldn't be called sauce."

"But tomato is a fruit and tomato sauce is made in the same way jams are." He insisted.

" There's something called apple sauce and it's not counted as jam."

"Well I'm sticking with my theory." he said. I gave him a weird look and he shrugged.

We peaked through the window and luck was on our side today. There was no one in the cafeteria. We slowly tiptoed across and towards the cabinet with the puddings.

Once we reached Zach whispered " what's the lock combination?"

"Three to the right four to the left"

"Okay"

"Why are we whispering?"

"I have no idea."

We began stocking up the puddings in Zach's bag. Suddenly the patrol staff entered. My heartbeat sped up. Getting caught stealing chocolate puddings with a boy is not exactly an ideal type of record you would want to have on your file, and yes the record of that WOULD go on our file, especially the part that we were 2 people of the opposite gender...Our school is weird.

Seeing my terrified expression, Zach intertwined our hands and we made a run for it. We would have got away if it wasn't for the squeaky sounds our shoes made. Zach pulled us inside a small closet just as the staff came looking for us. I was breathing heavily so Zach put his hands over my mouth,his body completely pressed up against mine thanks to the small space of the closet(no,no I'm not actually grateful, it was sarcasm you dumb cows).

He looked at me with his brown eyes. Did I mention brown eyes were my favourite? His gaze bore into my own hazel ones. His eyes flicker to my lips where his hand was absent and he had caged me in with both of his arms on either side of me. I don't even remember when all that happened. Slowly we both started to lean in until there was a beep from my phone and we jumped apart. Well we tried. The closet, like I mentioned before, was very small and congested . We both fell on the floor and I quickly got up. I could feel my cheeks starting to heat up as I stammered "We should get going...." I looked at him and I saw him flushing a deep red.

"Yea....... Yea!" he replied, stuttering a bit.

End Of Flashback

Scarlette's pov:

A loud bang from the TV jolted me out of my thoughts as I looked over at the most important people in my life. Aura was still asleep on Andy's lap, while his head rested on my shoulder. I couldn't tell if he was asleep or not, so I decided against moving too much, in case I woke him up. Zach was sprawled out on the floor as Flo sat beside him, her elbow resting on the small table as she had her head in the palm of her hand. She looked lost in her own world as usual, but this time I noticed something different . She was the shade of the ripest tomatoes and was blushing harder than I do ( I'm always red, which is why I was named Scarlette). I slightly smirked and called her, trying to get her out of her trances. When she didn't respond after I called her for the fifteenth time, I slightly nudged her with my foot and then almost kicked her. That did the trick and she turned to look at me, completely startled. I raised my eyebrow at her,

" Well what made you go that red?"

"Huh? What?" she asked as she lightly touched her cheek and looked like she had gotten caught when she felt it heated up. "Uhhh nothing! Nothing. Just...... reflecting." she continued while she tried to avert her eyes to look anywhere but at me.

Meanwhile, I heard Zach slightly choke on his popcorn and he started to clear his throat loudly. I smirked as I looked between the two of them. "Ohhh hohhhh, something happened" I said in a sing-song tone as I received multiple protests from the two of them.

"Mhmm. We'll see" I said, deciding to drop it for now. I'll get it out of her when Aura wakes up. With that we went back to watching the movie which had only a few minutes left.
