~ Chapter 28 ~
Been really slack on the updates I'm not going to give lies as excuses but I will explain at the end of the chapter why I have been so slack with writing recently.
Vos
Sundown stared up at the gates which stood strong and bright. Which dared anyone to try and climb over them.
Sundown stood before them. Staring at the detailing of the gates which kept all who weren't Seekers outside. She looked up at the huge walls the sharp pointed barbs which would slice through anything which it touched.
She turned away. Casting her helm downwards as she stared at the smooth metal ground.
"Sundown."
Looking up she caught Darkstinger's brightly lit optics.
Noise seemed to buzz from over the tall gates. Lights were bright from inside the Seeker's city while outside it was dark. Only a small amount of light reached this side of the gates.
"You don't have to do this."
Sundown's immediately cut her optics at him, glaring silent threats as she spoke in a cold, harsh tone.
"I have to find out what happened to me. Otherwise I'll never be at peace with myself."
Darkstinger nodded, not understanding from experience, but understanding the urge she had to find out what happened to her and why.
Sundown's optics softened as she dropped her helm, shaking it slightly. She knew recently she's been extremely snappy, especially towards Darkstinger. Her brother's knew she didn't mean it, and Darkstinger did too however she could see the hurt in his optics as her frustrations were lashed out to him.
Sundown heard the sound of other peds as she looked up, seeing a pair of mechs emerging from the shadows, nervously looking at the gates as they started talking to each other in hushed voices.
Sundown immediately noticed the wings on their back as she saw that both mechs had very similar framed, she mentally noted they were brothers or related somehow.
Sundown looked at Darkstinger. She began to notice how Darkstinger's dark paint helped him be practically invisible in the darkness. Sundown however could easily see the mech which was her best friend and lover.
After a short period of time, a few more pairs of seekers arrived. All except for one other than Sundown had brought a seeker companion.
Then they waited.
Sundown felt like the waiting had gone on forever. Her mind had drifted elsewhere as boredom set in.
After what felt like eternity, the gates to Vos opened.
Sundown's spark began hammering as she watched a slim femme seeker with a bright pink frame and sparkling silver detailing.
She clasped her servos together. Smiling brightly her optics swept across the dozen or so Cybertronians whom had gathered at the gates.
"Welcome," she spoke in a soft and welcoming tone, "I am Glaze and welcome to the great City of Vos."
She extended her arms, and bowed as her optics met every one of her 'guests' in front of her.
She rose silently as she turned and began walking away. "I will be accompanying you all. If you all could please kindly follow me, I will take you to the Prince."
Within the small crowd, there were mummers of meeting the Prince of Seekers.
Sundown looked to Darkstinger, whom seemingly didn't care whether he met the prince or not. Sundown however felt the need to met the prince. She needed the answers to her past, why was she casted out of Vos when only a Sparkling? What could she have done to make her Sire and Carrier hate her so much that they physically abused her and left her in the streets?
As the crowd followed Glaze, Sundown looked through the gates of Vos.
The streets of Vos seemed like something magical. Crystal clear liquid flowed from the huge towers and pooled into catchment that dazzled with silver, blue and yellow lights.
Glaze continued walking, unmoved by the spectacular views as she saw it on a daily basis.
Sundown stared in awe as they passed the liquid pools, even Darkstinger seemed to be awestruck.
Glaze lead the group past several groups of seekers, holding pink liquid in oddly shaped containers, quite like a clear cylinder without a top.
The groups all stopped their chatter, smiles disappearing as they whispered amongst each other, cautiously glancing at the newcomers.
Sundown couldn't help but glare back, especially when they were staring particular at the non-seekers, including Darkstinger.
They began walking towards a huge tower, fifty times larger than the walls. Thin metal canopies were upon tall poles, draping down and brushed across the tallest seekers helm.
To Sundown, it felt as if this was something from a dream. Vos was simply . . . beautiful. She now quite understood why the seekers tried to hold this treasure all to themselves.
It was rather selfish however.
Sundown understood the need to keep the beauty to their own kind however she believed things should be shared with everyone and not just those who claimed ownership. She hated places which excluded others, whether it be discrimination due to their income, appearance or race.
She despised it and wished it never existed anywhere on Cybertron or in the universe.
The group walked through a large doorway and into an even larger room.
The floor was pure silver, shining brightly with the lights that illuminated the room. The soft, bright white glow of the chandeliers and of the hot, blue flames let the room shine with a strange but appealing colour.
The walls were situated with velvet curtains which had been changed to a light sky blue suiting the aura of the room.
Opposite the doorway were three large, gold thrones and a smaller, silver one beside them. Upon the middle gold throne was a silver and grey seeker mech, with a rather bored expression on his faceplate, staring into space.
To his right was a smaller purple mech staring at the newcomers with a nervous expression, his digits fidgeting.
On the other side of the grey mech was a larger, blue mech. Staring curiosity at the newcomers.
Sundown noticed no one was seated upon the silver throne, nor had the seeker in the middle noticed them yet.
As Sundown examined the scene in front of her, she noticed the grey seeker was wearing a golden crown with red jewels. The two beside him however didn't wear crowns.
He must be the Prince, she thought as the Prince rose his helm, smiling before it quickly turned into a scowl, noticing the non-seekers in the group.
Before Sundown could blink, it changed back into a smile before he stood, extending his arms as a red cape from behind him flapped in the non-existent breeze.
"Welcome to Vos, I am Prince Starscream."
