Y/N's POV

"They were all in this mess together and this was the end for me..."

Jungkook took my hand in his strong grip and dragged me to the dark room with everyone else leading in front of us. As soon as we entered the room, he harshly let go of my hand and memories of V's true identity started filling fresh into my brain again. How can someone so loving and kind be so evil in real life?

"Get into her mind and order her to reveal her mission"

I heard as I turned my head to the guys standing in a group talking to V.

'What mission?' I wondered to myself

V looked at RM and then at all the others and signalled them to follow him outside. One by one, all the boys walked outside and Jin looked back at me before closing the door and I swear I heard the lock go off. Did that idiot just lock me in here?

RM's POV

"You what!!??" I asked V in a shocked manner.

"I know hyung, even I couldn't figure it out until now that I can't read her mind or listen to her thoughts anymore." V replied in confusion.

I immediately realised what the problem was here and not gonna lie, I almost snapped my own neck.

"Bro you're screwed. Like, out of all the girls in the world, how is it her? I mean like... Y/N..." Jimin said as he pervertedly licked his lips being the lord of lust that he is.

"I don't know how, but she just won't fall for it. I can't read her mind or change it anymore" V exclaimed frustratedly (trusfratedly 🤣).

"Since when?" I asked him, as I faced the room in which Y/N was locked in.

"After she came back from that sly Araminta, she had some sort of bracelet on her hand and then it broke because of mine and HIS presence and then the last thing I heard her say in her mind was "I trust" and that's all, her words got cut off from there. Her mind had gone blank ever since." V explained almost ripping his hair off

"V, you know what that means now right?" I turned around and asked him as he nodded his head in reply.

This can't be happening. Someone who is a complete threat to our world and to our entire existence cannot be the one who is actually a part of it...

"We need to take care of things from there. Everybody knows what they are supposed to do right?" I asked and all the boys nodded in response.

"Then let's go..."

Y/N's POV

I was marching back and forth in the room wondering if the boys have left me to die here or if they'll come back to kill me. Soon, the door to the room slammed open and footsteps of people could be heard echoing in the corridor. They were coming... Maybe I spoke too soon.

V appeared from out of the corridor first and his brown eyes turned to emerald green as he held me by my arms and pushed me until my back hit the wall. The pressure of his big strong hands could be felt right through my skin to my bones, I hissed in pain at the touch.

What hurt me the most was that he had touched me before but not like this, he had touched me with love and care. But how can I compare the sweet and innocent V to a monster like this who is standing in front of me, looking at me in the eyes like he is going to kill me any second now.

My mind started to fill up with all the happy memories that we spent together, whether they were in good times or hard times. At the thought of that, a little drop of tear escaped my eyes and to my surprise, his grip on my arms loosened ever so lightly. Still holding onto me, his eyes turned back to brown and he started talking.

"Y/N listen to me very carefully if you don't want to die by my hands right here, right now. Everything up till here was all a lie. Us meeting each other was not a coincidence, it was made to happen, it was all a set up. Why do you think I'd be running to you all the time if I didn't have a motive? Try to remember Y/N, did you come to me? Or did I come to you?"

I went back deep into my thoughts trying to remember the first time I met V.

"I saw a long wire running though on the floor and a tool box along with paint and wallpaper. Well that explains why an old building looks so new. Just as I finished looking around I turned around to go back to my apartment when I tripped on the wire and was at the motion of falling forward. Just then I felt something break my fall. It wasn't the tool box or the paint bucket or the wall papers. It was something like a body, I fell on someone..."

"The wire..." I whispered as I realised

"Yup, the wire. I moved that, with my mind and when you were about to fall, I amazingly saved you." He explained as if he was proud of what he did.

My head raced to all the other events that happened after we met each other, like the mysterious deaths of the club guys and the ones at the university.

"So those guys from the club and the university that died,... you guys killed them? Because of you I was arrested and because of you guys I lost my apartment too" I blew my steam out as if I was an angry bull.

"Let me interrupt you there Y/N, the murder of those guys... that wasn't us and you don't need to know who that was just like we don't want to know. However, the part where you lost your apartment that was indeed us, well actually me. I shapeshifted into Julia and kicked you out so that we could get you to live with V so that he could keep a closer eye on you. And to tell you the ACTUAL truth.... I was Julia all along. From the start when I gave you that apartment, to the end when I kicked you out." J- Hope claimed

He batted his eyes looking at me, feeling proud of himself.

"Now that it's dead obvious, I just want to ask. You guys not knowing each other before I introduced you guys was also a lie?"

"Bingo darling, aye yo hyung, she's starting to get some brains" Jimin interrupted

"So your friendship with me was also fake, Jungkook's confession and even SUGA's consoling was also all a lie?" I asked

"I'll answer that one for you. That what I did there at the hospital was a fake confession so that we could have had a greater chance of having you in front of our eyes. If you said yes to me, or to V hyung, it would have been the same. We just wanted to watch your every step." Jungkook explained, not having the slightest guilt in his eyes. Like... Why would he?

"Yeah and even though I was terrible at speaking to you about Jungkook's flop confession idea, I did manage to plant a little trust in your brain" SUGA continued from there.

"It was a shame that that trust only broke a few minutes later" I snapped back as SUGA rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Well, our bad, we didn't actually realise that after V came and told us that you saw our necklace" Jin admitted

"The story of his foster parents was my idea to get a little sympathy from you, and the fact that you actually fell for it was hilarious. That was a lie too." RM laughed

"and all on top of that... my feelings and concerns for you were also a lie, in fact, that was the biggest and easiest lie that I told you." V said and that hurt like a bitch knowing that I had actually fallen in love with him.

"Why?" I whispered as I tried really hard not to break in front of him. I felt like reality just came up to me and slapped me on the face.

"Why?" he mimicked me in a mocky tone

"Why would you even come up to me, act like total strangers to each other and then eventually reveal yourselves all of a sudden?" I asked, turning to the rest of the guys, not having the courage to look at V in the eyes anymore.

"Now that's the best question you've asked us so far Y/N. The thing is that you are a threat to our world. The Dark World. You saw and found out about things that weren't supposed to be seen and known by mere humans, but you seem to be more than just a human. All our secrets and identities are at stake" RM stated

"But I just found out recently" I admitted

"Oh no no no my dear Y/N, you may have found out only recently about us in person, but you were connected to all this for years." J- Hope butted in

'What in the jumbled gibberish are they talking about?' I wondered to myself.

Author's POV

"You know what, let's call Demi boss, he'll know what to do" RM said and backed a bit

The guys all closed their eyes which left Y/N totally lost and worried at the same time and soon, the dark room's floor filled up with night black smoke. After a bit, a guy popped up out of nowhere who was wearing a long black cloak that had a hoodie covering his face.

That man came closer to the group and lifted the hoodie that revealed a face that was unfamiliar to Y/N but welcoming for the others.

He was a middle aged man who had a triangle- like face. His forehead was visible and his chin was almost unnoticed. His hair was styled back with a few strands falling onto his exposed forehead.

He looked at Y/N for a while before opening his mouth to talk to himself.

"She's actually hard to get into, her mind is fogged, her eyes have blocked out all her emotions only to be filled with cheap, worthless tears. Despite all that, I can feel a strong and brave aura coming out of her"

He looked deeper into Y/N's eyes before finally raising his eyebrows as if he had come to a decision and turned to the boys.

"Boys, let's take her home"

They all nodded their heads as Jimin lifted his hands and drew circles in the air creating a golden portal in the dark surrounding.

V's POV

Everybody stepped into the portal one by one, leaving Y/N and me alone. I stepped into the portal and reached my hand out to take Y/N in when she slapped my hand away. Gosh, I can't be patient and gentle anymore, like, I'm the King of the Dark World, treat me with some damn respect.

Stepping back into the dark room annoyed, I harshly took her arm and dragged her into the portal with me

"You'll know who I am better when we get there."

After we stepped into the portal, it closed and we were surrounded with Jimin's magical powers that transferred us from the human world to a world completely different to hers.

"A very horrible welcome to the Dark World Y/N..."
