Sunset is a pure-blooded sandwing, with brown freckles and a large brain like Quilbi. Her mother is gone, and she looked nothing like her. She was killed when Sunset was very young, so everyone thinks she doesn't know who did it. But Sunset does know who did it, and it is her life's mission to kill them.

She also wears a gold armband, much like the one Thorn wears. Sunset has no magic marks, but she cares deeply about the dragonets who are starving and sick. She is very loyal to Thorn and lives in the stronghold with her father.

She will love it at Jade Mountain Academy, but the year will not be perfect.
