The Legend of Madeline les Bois, Servant of the Lady: Rainbow Unicorn Attack

((By Robert Claus A youtube Comenter))

Madeline was delighted, the Lady had finally gifted her with a unicorn. It was a fine and noble beast, that left a rainbow trail behind hit wherever it ran. True, it had viciously gored and trampled at least twenty peasants that had gotten to close to him, but that was to be expected. A creature as pure and noble as her unicorn could not abide by presence of the unworthy. She had chosen to name the unicorn, Louis, the perfect name for the perfect steed. True, the peasants said that Louis stalked them at night and a few people had mysteriously gone missing while on watch, while having their bodies discovered the next day horribly mangled laying in a circle made of their entrails, but these lands were filled with many dark and terrible creatures. Madeline was just content that Louis never seemed to be harmed. In fact, by the blood found on his horn, hooves, and muzzle every morning, Madeline came to the undoubtedly correct conclusion that he was easily defending himself from all those who would seek to do him harm. Though she did have to work to find someone to take care of him. Fortunately Louis seemed to tolerate the presence of maidens, so now he had his own personal entourage of maiden caretakers to feed him and groom him. Everyone was amazed at how Madeline could so easily ride on the side of her unicorn without a saddle, truth be told, Madeline couldn't understand it either. She chalked it up to Louis being an extension of herself, in battle the two truly became one. Louis's presence was essential in her dealing with Grung Zint, whose foul stench forced her to keep a perfumed handkerchief over her mouth for the entire time, not that it interfered with her duties. If the visions were true, she would have to get used to this stench. Apparently it was the Lady's will that Bohemond first destroy accursed Mousillion and then head south to the Badlands. As unpleasant as it could be, the Lady's will must be done.
