Episode 10: The Turning Point

??????????

Darkness.... but lights are flashing....

Soft, but too hard to be a bed.....

Y/N slowly wakes up his eyes, groaning as a sudden pain joins for the ride back to the real world. He shifts around in his bed, not recognizing the ceiling he is in, especially since it's so tall. Then, he notices by touch how wrong his bed is, it's so rocky, and.... not even at all. Unless he accidentally passed out on a hill of rocks, he must've broken something when he layed down on.....

Then, within seconds, everything flashes back into his memory. His eyes shoot themselves open even farther. This is not a bedroom, this is not even his home, he's been fucking kidnapped. Well, guess that was gonna happen sooner or later the second he became aware, cross that off the bucket list.

He looks around, seeing that he's also in a gated section of what looks like some kind of warehouse. But then.... he questions the surface he's been laying on, and then looks around himself and....... sees more than a dozen corpses under him.

"What.... the...." Y/N tries abruptly swearing like a jump-scared gamer, but is voice box comes out as very weak as he's barely able to get the first word in. At first, he thought it was just because he woke up dehydrated, but then he remembers the bullets as his pain slightly increases. They must still be draining blood out of his system. And because of his...... whatever Katherine called in, he can't die, only get weaker.

That's great, isn't it?

Looking up at the gate, Y/N then decides that while his kidnapper isn't here, might as well try to find a way to call for help. First, he does the obvious, and confirms, phone isn't in his pocket. So, he then crawls himself off the bodies (More like rolling off of them) and groans a bit after hitting the concrete, before getting himself on his chest as he then crawls over to the small gate.

He then tries fiddling with the thing, pushing and pulling to figure out which way opens it, but with the handle holding it closed, he can barely get it as far as two inches. Wow, he's so weak that the bad guys don't even need a lock to hold him, that's kind of pathetic, right?

It makes him feel so...... so weak.

Then a loud creak echos across the entire room, and thanks to how quiet the warehouse is and its structure, that's no hard feat. Then,  the sound of the door closing is followed by loud echoing footsteps and something soft being dragged against the concrete floor... a new body to add to the herd.

Y/N freezes, his brain quickly pondering if he should go back and play dead or scour for some weapon to catch his kidnapper off-guard. He tries his best to scoot back, but due to the corpse pile facing an entirely different way, he has some slight trouble turning himself around without spiking his pained flesh up a bit.

However, his eyes are blessed with a pistol on the floor when he does. That helps make his decision very clear for him. He begins dragging himself over to the weapon, inch by inch, as strong as he can. Not really caring about being quiet anymore as he lets out one moan after the other reaching for it.....

Until his leg is kicked, the one with the bullet, and he lets out a pained hiss when it comes. "Well, well, well, still kicking?" The kidnapper's voice comments with a mocking tone disguising his shock. "And what does that make you, hmm? Micheal fucking Myers?"

Y/N ignores him, trying to reach the gun, but sadly for him, the man walks over and takes it, putting in back in his holster. He looks up to see the face of Logan Fell, confirming the last thing he remembers as it was all blurry when he woke up. "Where.... am...?"

Before he can finish the question, Logan kicks again in the wounded leg, only much more harder, igniting a pained cry from the poor Y/N. "Nuh-uh, I ask the questions here." Logan states as he observes the teenager against his mercy. He then gets an idea and drags the kid out of the gated section, dropping him into a more open area. "So.... did she turn you too, hmm? Are you vampire as well?" He then begins interrogating him. "That'd explain why the wooden bullets only hurt you, not killed you."

"W-What...." Y/N utters, looking at him with a confused brow. It's a she? not a he? "What are you.... talking about?"

"Don't play stupid!" Logan growls as he presses against another bullet hole in Y/N's back, igniting another cry mixed with him pressing his teeth together. "I may just be freshly turned, but I know how Vampires work. You can't have survived all this unless you were one."

"Not... a... Vampire." Y/N retorts with an attempt at a glare pointed at him. "Dumb....ass."

"Is that so? Then why did you answer like you know they exist?" Logan comments, raising a brow as if he's caught him in a bluff. He pulls his head up, and with one look, starts to get a hint that he's right. His blood..... it's pulsating to him, he wants to drain him like he did the others. That wouldn't be possible with Undead blood.

He stands up and circles around him, taking a few seconds to put two and two together. "Ah... You went through your family's journals, have you?" He finally concludes, though as Y/N knows, that's not the whole story. "I should've guess you'd find them when Raymond got himself killed and left a brat like you all alone." He criticizes the dead with a smirk, only to abruptly change emotions when he slaps himself. "Fuck! Why do I keep making insensitive comments like that?! That's not.... me!"

"So.... you.... say..." Y/N sarcastically remarks, which is bold, given his position right now. Logan thinks the same thing as he slowly turns to him, his expression turning into a grin as he slowly re-approaches him. "Can you just..... skip to the part where you..... kill me?"

"Oh, no. We, kid, have a lot to talk about...." Logan says with a shake of his lead, kneeling down and leaning right in front of his face. "And, while you're still packing a healing factor..."

His veins and eyes turn black.

"I'm gonna keep you around...."

The warehouse is then covered with the sound of Y/N's screams.

Salvatore Boarding House: Hours Later

Candor always turns back into Deputy Clayton the second he steps out of the door of his home. Well, more like before he steps through the door, but you get the point. From a fifty-year-old looking man who knows more than one could imagine, to a 20-year-old rookie cop who tries his best to be professional, but ends up acting a way where you can barely take him seriously. It's the perfect double-face.

As part of the Vampire know-ers, or, whatever the policemen that aren't technically part of the council mean, Clayton and Forbes eventually got the hint of more bodies in the woods, four teens along with a woman dead in the middle of a side-walk. Yeah, a suburban sidewalk. Looks like the Vampire is done with hiding evidence and is somewhat challenging the police to come find them.

That, or maybe something's happened that made him take a reckless move.

Eventually, the Sheriff decided that the best place to go to would be to the house of one of the current members that have a Vampire kill count under their belt. Clayton ended up coming along as the driver due to mechanical trouble with the main sheriff van.

Eventually, the door opens, though it ends up being the youngest Salvatore brother to greet them, squinting when he sees that it's the cops on his front door. "We're here to see Damon." Forbes simply tells him, not giving anything away. Though, that even perplexes the man.... sorry, 'teen' even more.

"Uh, sure, okay."

Damon pops up behind him before Stefan can even turn to call his name. "Sheriff, what surprise." He greets with that way too cheerful grin on his face, it's like he's trying out for the clown awards show.

"Sorry, to bother you, but.... we need to talk." Liz tells the man with a serious look on her face, indicating that it's very important. Damon seems to get the message as he shows a fair nod and beckons inside.

"Come in."

Damon leads her into the backyard, leaving Stefan and Clayton behind. Since they've technically been given permission in, the latter is unable to help himself from stepping a few feat in and observing the place. The Salvatore Boarding house..... it's barely changed since the last time.... ah, he needs to forget that, the future is now coming.

He almost wants to close his eyes, the energy here.... it's much stronger than what it was back then..... could it be? Is this the place that might-

"You okay?" Stefan asks Clayton, immediately snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Uh, yeah, yeah...." Clayton stutters out a quick response, easily switching to his nervous guy persona. "It's just, uh..... much bigger than my place in the suburbs, you know?" He comments, giving him the best bad smile he can muster. "It's pretty cool."

Stefan slowly nods, raising a brow at him.

"Thanks..."

Back outside, in the spacious back yard, Damon successfully puts on his fake persona like it was his favorite shirt. "Um, I hope you understand the secrecy." He briefly apologizes as he closes the door behind them, allowing them to talk about this supernatural matter privately. "Stefan doesn't know about this yet and I'd like to keep it that way."

"Of course. Kids are too young to be brought into this." Forbes agreeingly replies, to which Damon smiles at. Don't laugh, don't laugh, don't laugh.....Keep it cool.

"So, what do you need?"

"There's been another attack." Forbes then reveals to Damon, who's expression slowly drops. "Multiple, actually. Two males in the morgue, One female found with her throat torn out, four teens inside their truck in the woods, all drained of blood, and.... we don't have confirmation, but we think another one's gone missing." She then gives him the bad details, which confuses him more. "All in the span of one night."

"I-I'm sorry, I don't understand." Damon stutters out in response, blinking multiple times. "I thought we solved that problem when I...." He briefly glances towards the house. "...staked the blonde one."

"I'm thinking she must've turned someone, or multiple someone-s if they did this much damage in as much as three hours." She can only guess with a shrug. "The story for the town is another animal attack, but with what's close to a mass murder, I'm not sure how long we can keep lying to them. The council's in an uproar, we thought we were past this."

Damon rubs his chin a little bit as he takes a moment to process this. Another Vampire? And he didn't hear about it before council did? "So.... who's the missing kid?"

"We're not sure about that, either, but...." Forbes thinks about how to professionally answer this as it's still mostly a theory and could easily tempt personal opinion. "We can only guess that, whoever they were, went into the woods with the other four. We're trying to do a subtle investigation to figure out who before the public does."

Damon process all of this, a new Vampire, killing multiple people in one night. Definitely has to be a rookie, but who could have been newly turned? The only person that was done by him and that was Vicki, he's positive of that. Which would hint at yet another Vampire.

In other words, this town still has a huge mess in need of cleaning up. And now that he's a hero, it's technically his job to get this out of the way so he can leave.

"So, uh, what do we do?"

"You're the only one who's ever taken on a Vampire. We were hoping you could tell us?" Forbes admits to the man, who mentally sighs. Having her phrase it like that kind of makes him feel embarrassed that he, of all people, doesn't honestly know yet himself. Guess the phrase, 'can't beat them, join them' doesn't always apply.

Unless... you use your powers to out-smart one of your own.

While they continue to talk, Stefan secretly listens from the living room, having had his super-hearing on.

Another attack? So soon?

What did Damon do this time?

Mystic High:

The Next day after the chaos from last night is still buried into the brains of the people who were unfortunate enough to be there. However, others seemed to have gotten a lucky break or a more happier time, as Bonnie and Elena are able to see when they watch from down the hall, Matt and Caroline happily talking to each other while making their way to class.

"Did I miss something?" Elena wonders out-loud to Bonnie, who just shrugs it off.

"They've been hanging out."

"Kind of weird, don't you think?" Elena points out. Maybe that's just her side of things wanting to be predictable talking, but last she checked, those two never exchanged more than two words, nor did Matt ever have a positive thing to say about Caroline behind her back. She just can't help but find it weird.

"Well, she needs someone nice like him as opposed to a homicidal Vampire like Damon." Bonnie remarks, which Elena takes as a solid point.

"Yeah, how are you doing with all that?" Elena then asks her. She knows the answer might be a little obvious, but it doesn't hurt to check, especially since she knows what it's like to then have to go to school as if nothing ever happened.

"I'm freaked out. Damon attacked me, I could be dead right now.... but I'm also grateful." Bonnie answers, which makes Elena raise a curious brow at her. "To Stefan. He saved my life, You and Y/N came looking for me, and....." She slightly stops mid-sentence, that one particular name drop makes her glance around the school. "Where is Y/N, anyway?"

"I don't know.... he wasn't in English..." Elena answers as she glances down, thinking. Last time they saw him, he said he was going to leave in the ride he came here with and meet them at their house to check in, but he never came. "Or....  at that basketball thing, like he usually is now."

"So, he's... not here?" Bonnie points the obvious out, now raising a worried brow at Elena. "You don't think he's..."

"No, Bonnie, Stefan said he and Damon were leaving. If he was attacked, which I hope he wasn't it would have to be by a..." Elena quickly dismisses at first, only to abruptly freeze while she's messing with her locker. "Another Vampire..."

Has someone else been turned?

When one of the male friends passes by, she quickly gets his attention. "Hey, Tyler!" She calls out to him. "Have you seen Y/N anywhere lately?"

"No, not at all." The jock replies with a calm shake of his head. "Though I could've sworn we were together last night......" He glances down, though ends up just shrugging at the end. "But I can't remember for some reason."

Now Elena's worried.

Does she need to call Stefan?

Grace Wind Park: 1998

The Park Ranger, the one that now has the park all to himself, is currently now lounging around, having nothing to do but stare at the big, dark, view and stare at his make-shift evidence board. The animal attacks that have been plaguing this park have been swept under the rug long enough that its been eating him up from the inside. He can't just be one of the many people that just let this stupid sh-

*BZZZZZT*

Hearing his radio's static emit gets the ranger's attention as he instantly snaps his head towards it. "Hello? Is anyone there?" A man's speaks frantically into the audio, which must mean he's not having what one would call a fun time right about now. "Anyone? Please answer me!

"Copy. This is Fire Tower Four, over." The Park Ranger immediately responds, noticing the panic in his voice.

"I... I-I saw this channel listed on one of the trails out here, I... I NEED you to help me!" The man then begins saying, putting an emphasis on 'need' as if begging for him not to cut any sort of contact with him. "Something......" A small, but unintelligible noise comes from the other end before the man continues. "I'm lost and something is chasing me! Please! You HAVE to help me!"

"Alright, alright, calm down! You need to stay calm." The Park Ranger quickly finds a place to speak admits all of the man's yelling. "Where are you? Over."

"I... I don't know!" The man admits as he's currently still terrified for his own life at the moment. "Something started chasing me so I started running!" Is all the information the hiker can give, it's a surprise he isn't currently out of breath while communicating with him. "YOU have to help me, I'm going to DIE out here!"

"Okay, okay, no problem. I'll turn on the flood lights, over." The Park Ranger then tells the man so he'll know where he is, speed-walking over to the massive switch that is his floodlights. He has to hold it down for a couple seconds as the thing is currently having trouble staying down, meaning that they'll only stay on for as long as he holds the thing.

"Yes! O-Okay, I-I-I see them. I'm gonna come to you." The ranger is still able to hear the hiker from where he's standing on his tower's balcony. He can hear his voice now getting little soother as hope seems to be returning to aid him once again. "Thank you."

Ranger mentally nods to himself and lets go of the switch, allowing the lights to turn back off as he then goes over to his map of the park. If he's going to help this man get to safety, he'll have to depend on this much more than the lights, especially if they can't stay on. Oh, that makes him realize... he still doesn't know where he is....

"Look, I...." The hiker suddenly starts speaking into the radio again, breaking his train of thought. "I don't know what happened back there. I-" He lets out a big, exhausted exhale. "I just.... I was camping, you know? A solo hike. Just a day or two to myself. I..... this was such a mistake." He then begins to degrade his life choices, which, with what the ranger can see, he can't say he blames him. "Fresh air....a run.... Yeah, lots of good that did me.

Ranger lets out a silent chuckle as he keeps looking for ways he can help the hiker from where he's at. "I-I'm sorry... I'm just rambling at you..."

"No, no, it's fine." The Ranger quickly assures him after pressing on the red button. "Let's just stick to figuring out how help you out. Over."

"Yeah, right..." The hiker acknowledges. "I'll let you get back to..... whatever it is you're doing."

It then goes silent for a while, with the Ranger now continuing to consider each route the hiker might need to take according to the map, and the hiker now doubt in-between walking and jogging for his life.  Hmm... if he's at the tunnels, he'll just need to take a full right around the lake, and if he's at the pass, then-

*MORE STATIC!*

"Run......."

The hiker's voice.

"NOW."

????????:

Y/N's eyes then flash open as he finds himself not in the tower of a park, but instead, back in the warehouse he remembers being kidnapped in. The dreams.... they've returned. But why? Why now? Why stop for weeks at a time and come back? Oh, please, don't tell him that he also has a ghost possessing him too....

Before he can even think about how much time has passed, he hears uncomfortable slurping sounds and slowly turns over (Slowly because his head is still having problems moving as easy as he brain wants it to) to see Logan feasting on another person's dead body. Geez, he's really racking them up, is he?

Y/N blinks, but decides not to say anything that could give him away as being awake. He doesn't want to prove Logan's conclusion that he has a 'healing factor' even if he's given plenty of reason to assume so.

Then, he remembers what happened right before he passed out again, and feels his neck..... oh gosh, it really is-

*CREAK!*

The sound of the door opening snaps everyone's attention towards it. Logan glances at Y/N, seeing that his awake, before tossing his latest victim into the pile with everyone else. He gives him the shush gesture while quietly taking out his firearm.

When the new stranger comes stepping through the entrance, fences, and into Y/N's view, he sees that it's.... Damon?!

The Vampire eventually notices the kid laying on the ground, covered in a small puddle of his blood that poured out of his neck, torso and leg, and looks at him in massive confusion. "What the heck is your sorry-butt doing-?"

Before he can finish the question and/or Y/N can warn him, Logan pops out and shoots him multiple times with the wooden bullets. Just like with Y/N, he hits him in the torso and leg. Damon, of course, screams at the sudden pain and groan when he falls on his knees, hitting the concrete in a not-so-fun way.

"Hello there, old friend." Logan quips as he slowly steps over to him with a cocky smile. "We have a lot of catching up to do."

"Wait, a second, you're-" Damon begins recognizing him until Logan shoots him one more time with a wooden bullet as if needing to showcase some kind of point that he's currently in charge of this scene. "OW! You son of a bitch!"

"That, is one thing we can agree on. I never really did like her." Logan quips again as he keeps the gun trained on him. "In fact, I'd guess I have her to blame for my poor life choices.... especially when I can't fix them."

"Why are you.... sharing this information... to us?" Y/N questions him out-loud as he tries and struggles to sit up, which is pretty much a nicer way of saying, 'are we supposed to give a shit?'. This earns him another hard kick from Logan, causing him to hit his head against the concrete and lay himself back on his back.

"Shut up."

"So, he's the one you kidnapped?" Damon concludes correctly, quickly able to put two and two together. "That just makes me wonder why you haven't drained him of his blood yet? I've tried to do so, but he always ends up fighting back. Lame victim move."

"Fuck... you...."

"Oh, yes, him...." Logan smirks as he steps back towards the L/N kid, kneeling beside him with a excited grip of his gun. "This little guy's been really helpful with my blood addiction. I don't know how he's been keeping himself from dying, but I find it rather.... you know, entreating."

He showcases this by suddenly shooting Y/N in the middle of his chest, causing him let out a sharp shriek. "FUCK YOU!" He cries out afterwards, the strong side of his voice coming back for those two seconds. Logan ignores him, however, and instead pulls out the used bullet to the ground before pressing his thumb against the new open wound, sparking more pain before tasting the blood off his thumb, moaning.

"Geez.... what'd he do to you?" Damon wonders out-loud, a little perplexed of how he's clearly been torturing the teen for as long as he got put here.

"Although a perfect blood keg, he refuses to answer my questions." Logan answers for Damon, grabbing Y/N's hair and forcing him to look up at him. "Like how he got this factor and why he some other kids went around the woods, looking for me." He lists off some examples before throwing the kid's head back down. "So... I've been giving him a little.... physical reinforcement."

Damon glances between them, considering if he should get himself up and attack Logan while his attention is on Y/N, only to have the gun now pointed at him. "Hey, hey! I have tons of these wooden bullets, so...nothing funky."

"You don't wanna do this, trust me." Damon tries playfully warning him, only for Y/N to weakly shake his head.

"Already.... tried... that line." Y/N chimes in, his sense of humor apparently still present despite the hospitality of this fine establishment. "Didn't.... work out."

"Oh, and I wonder why-"

*BANG!*

"Aah! OW!"

"That's what you get." Logan comments with a smirk from the sadistic pleasure of also hurting his own killer.

"For what?"

"You made me like this." Logan points out as he kneels in front of him, giving a look that makes it very clear that he isn't going to be treated like an idiot. "And don't feed me that bullshit, all right? Your friend here tried playing dumb too, and as you can see, it's not just my fangs I've given him."

"I killed you. I didn't turn you." Damon retorts as he pulls one of the wooden bullets out of his skin with a pained wince. Logan takes it, admiring the blood on it with an amused smile.

"See, I know what you and your brother, are. I've been watching the two of you." Logan tells Damon as he tosses the bullet to the side, clearly ready to have a similar talk with the Vampire. "I knew you'd show up here and I'm glad you did, because I have some questions. Better answer correctly or you're going to be in a worse case than Deadpool's illegitimate son over here."

"Me first." Damon boldly barks. "Who turned you?"

"How should I know?" Logan loudly yells at him, even though Y/N can tell that's bullshit as he just addressed the Vampire by her gender, which means he at least knows what she looked like. "Last thing I remember is I'm about to stake your brother and then you grabbed me. That's it!" He shares his story with the two of them in anger. "Until I wake up in the ground behind a used car dealership on Highway four. Somebody buried me."

"That's what happens when you die, you dumb-" Y/N chimes in, earning himself another slug to the chest, causing him to cry out again in pain.

"I said, shut it boy, the grown ups are talking." Logan criticizes him, strongly encouraging he speaks when spoken to, before turning back to Damon who's still going through the pained experience of removing his bullets. "You bit me, it had to be you."

"You have to have vampire blood in your system when you die." Damon corrects him and his logic, mentally wondering why every supernatural beast operates like zombies. "I didn't do that. Some other Vampire found you, gave you their blood." He tells him exactly how it goes, dropping on his back when he has all of the bullets out.

"Who?"

"That's what I wanna know."

"Dude, it's not like the welcome wagon was waiting with a bundt cake and a handbook." Logan sarcastically remarks with a frustrated voice. "It's been a learn as you go process. You know, one minute, I'm a small town, on the rise news guy, and next thing I know, I'm someone who tortures teenagers and can't get into my own house because my foot won't go through the door!"

"You have to be invited in."

"I know, I live alone and the second I died, a son I have no idea existed immediately inherited it."

"Oh, that sucks." Damon comments with a small chuckle, followed by a pained one from Y/N.

"So now, I'm at the Ramada, watching Pay-Per-View all day, eating everything in sight, including housekeeping." Logan finishes his vent, to which Damon mentally shrugs.

"It could be worse."

"All I can think about is blood and killing people. I can't stop killing people, I keep killing! A-And hurting kids!" He goes off, laughing like an unhinged maniac while also giving Y/N a few well-placed kicks as if showing his pleasure of it all. "And I like it!" He exclaims with that crazy grin on his face, before giggling it off until he's calmed himself down. "I'm conflicted..."

"Welcome to the club." Damon remarks with a fixed expression, before something crosses his mind. "Wait a minute.....  How many people have you killed? Because cops only found seven bodies, none of them cleaning maids."

"I left them all, okay? I was tired and kept going from one place to another with that fast and quick speed thing I've been able to do." Logan admits with a small sigh. "But I've been hiding the rest of the bodies. They're right back there. They're just piling up." He tells him as he points towards the huge pile with his pistol.

"You're kidding..."

"As someone... who woke up.... on top of them...." Y/N chimes in with a rough cough, the beating he just took is clearly taking a small toll on him. "I can confirm.... he's not."

Well.... shit.

How is the town gonna explain that?

Mystic High:

The 'think for the future' event or whatever they've called it this time has begun. The council's police are all in separate places, split up, so they don't draw too much attention to themselves and make the place look more armed than it already is. Last thing they need is a panic.

Doesn't stop the tense feeling, as Mayor Lockwood definitely shows when he's walking with Sheriff Forbes down the halls of the art section of the school's event. "So... what do we know?" He asks her, wanting some closure for the sake of his heart that might start stabbing himself if he mentally thinks about Vampires one more time.

"Nothing new to report yet." Forbes dryly tells him, causing the man to let out an audible, disappointed sigh. "My highly reliable deputies are all on alert but if you feel the need to be more proactive, by all means, grab a stake and have at it."

"What extra precautions can we take?" Lakewood asks her next with a voice that gets her point, idly fixing himself a cup of coffee so he doesn't continue pacing around separate sections of the school building so he doesn't look insane.

"For right now, there's nowhere safer than a crowded public place." Forbes points out to Mr. Lockwood as he anxiously sips his hot drink while glancing around all of the potential killers in their building. "And for once, mayor, we actually know where our kids are." She also mentions, eyeing her own child, Caroline, from across the cafeteria.

"Sheriff, sheriff!" Clayton suddenly steps in, his feet moving quicker than he probably should if they're supposed to maintain a 'calm' environment. "Checked in at the L/N manor. Turns out the family's staff was supposed to show up for cleaning duties, but Y/N never answered the door for them. He wasn't in his home this morning."

Lockwood and Forbes now share a look, all of them knowing what this could potentially mean. "Do a quick sweep around the school for him, just in case." The Sheriff then orders, and Clayton quickly nods as he steps away to do exactly that.

However, as he finds himself in a different hall, Clayton pulls out his phone to make a call while marching down the hallway. "Argh... hello?" A tired voice comes out from the other end.

"Hey, Roe, listen up." Clayton instantly says in a serious tone, hoping that it wakes the napping man up quicker. "I need you to drive around town and check all of the burials we made to cover up Vampire attacks starting from the first one in September."

"Wait, what?" Roe utters, somewhat taken off-guard by the urgent request. "Why are-"

"Just do it!" Clayton enforces as he almost raises his voice, though thankfully catching himself before he can get close to screaming. "As fast as you can, the situation here screams of recently turned"

"Ugh... okay, okay, I got it." The man relents, some sounds in the background indicating that he's getting up and opening his closet. "I'll get there, just give me a couple hours."

"Don't be afraid to bring the guys, too okay? We kind of have too strict deadline for heavy secrecy." Clayton advises Roe before hanging up, looking around as he then decides to go along with asking Y/N's friends.

Let's just hope all the clues are just bad coincidences.

?????????:

In the warehouse, the situation hasn't changed too much. The only thing new is that Y/N's in slightly more pain, Damon doesn't have anymore wooden bullets, and Logan's thankfully more calm now. Though, how long that'll last remains to be seen.

"Why am I so overly emotional?" Logan wonders out-loud, glancing towards the air as his mind plagues with thoughts about Jenna. "All I can think about is my ex-girlfriend. I wanna be with her and bite her and stuff."

"Wow.... how wholesome..." Y/N sarcastically remarks with a voice that sounds very close to dehydrated, letting out a loud cough.

"Well, you probably love her." Damon easily deducts, knowing this specific part of being a Vampire personally well. "Anything you felt before will be magnified now. You're gonna have to learn to control that.... unless you want to end up like Y/N here." He then nods towards the kid who's tried to kill him at least three times so far.

"Blow me...."

"What about walking in the sun? I'm a morning person." Logan then asks him, staring at Damon more intently for an answer. "You can walk in the sun, which, by the way, is pretty cool. Council would never suspect you. That's not in the journals."

"The journals?"

"Books from..... past..... fathers." Y/N answers for him, wincing when he feels an odd pain in his chest. "All.... founding.... families.... have one." He finally gets himself sitting up on his buttocks. "It's how I..... figured out.... everything about you...."

"Ah.... now that thing with the almost unlimited stakes make sense." Damon acknowledges with a slow nod. He had wondered how he learned about wood started working on them so quickly.

"Yeah, what he said. But that's not important!" Logan quickly interjects before they can start talking about old times. "Listen man, you gotta tell me! How can you walk around in the sun?" He asks the biggest question he wants to know, to which Damon stares at him with a blank look.

"Who turned you?"

"How do you walk in the sun?!"

"Who turned you?"

"You know, I've been really nice so far." Logan stands himself back up. "But in case you haven't noticed...." He abruptly pistol whips Y/N and stomps on his legs and torso multiple times, prompting loud groans from the poor kid. "I have something of a fucking temper! So tell me! Or I'll start torturing you to death next!"

"If you do, then you'll never know." Damon calls out his veiled threat with a glare, slowly standing up as his strength has now come back to him. "You're not answering my question."

"You first!"

"Seems we're at a bit of an impasse then, doesn't it?"

"I have things to do, people to kill. Guess I'll be needing a little head start." Logan notes before instantly shooting Damon with a quarter of his clip, putting him back down to the floor. "And before I go..." He then slowly turns to Y/N with a twisted grin. "I should pre-game a little bit before hand."

Damon, realizing what's about to happen, mentally rolls his eyes and looks away as Logan gets on top of Y/N and grows his fangs yet again.

Man, can't believe he's actually feeling bad for the guy....

Mystic High:

While patrolling around Mystic Falls High School, Deputy Clayton continues looking around for that one person that had to have seen Y/N if he was in their classroom, due to being the only teacher that's properly stayed here for the event.

Thankfully, he finally spots Alaric Saltzman walking out of a room, talking to another staff member in a casual manner. Clayton swallows as he approaches him, ready to make sure he asks his questions without sounding too suspicious or alarmed while doing so.

"Excuse me, Mr. Saltzman?" Clayton then calls out to the teacher, eventually getting his and the person's he's with's attention. "I'm terribly sorry to bother you, but have you seen Y/N L/N anywhere in this building by any chance?"

"Y/N?" Alaric raises a brow, a concerned look on his face the second one of his students' names are mentioned. "No, he didn't show up for English today. In fact, all of his other periods have marked him absent for today."

"I see...." Clayton mumbles, slowly nodding to himself. That isn't good at all...

"Is he in trouble?" Alaric then asks the deputy with worriment, to which Clayton quickly shakes his head.

"No! No, no, no, he's just, uh....." Clayton quickly stutters out, sticking to his young cop persona. "He never usually skips school, you know? We've gotten more jumpy with the new animal attacks, you understand."

"Oh, yeah, I understand." Alaric nods in response, clearly getting a bad feeling swallowing his gut. Okay, time to throw the 'caution' plan of the conversation out of the window. "Well, uh... I'll let the principal and councilors know, see if we can get in contact with him."

"That'd be great." Clayton replies with a fixed smile, now walking off as a gears grind in Alaric's head. He needs to talk to some people.

Meanwhile, as soon as he walks away, Clayton's phone starts ringing and he checks to see that it's from Roe. He quicky finds himself some privacy before answering. "Hello?"

"Hey, I checked the few burial mounds we had like you asked, and, to my surprise, did find something weird." Roe informs the cop as he supposedly puts his arm back on his shoulder. "You know the one we had at the old car shop? It's completely open, that reporter guy's corpse is no where in here."

Clayton grips the phone tighter when he hears this. He knew it, he knew it had to be a turned one for them to be this sloppy. "Thank you, Roe, now I know where to go." He then gives his regards, much to his friend's confusion.

"Seriously? How'd you figure that?" Roe queries him, to which Clayton stares at the wall with a knowing look.

"Who's the only other person in the council did we show that warehouse we erased from the map?" He then brings up, bringing all of the pieces together.

"Well... I'll be."

Grace Wind Park: 1998

A painfully minute of silence that feels longer goes on the second those sudden weird choice of words emit through the radio. The Ranger squints as he steps over to it to make sure he heard all of that correctly or if the hiker's portable radio malfunctioned.

"Hello? I'm sorry. Could you repeat that? Over."

"You feeling alright up there? I.... I didn't say anything." The hiker responds with a confused chuckle. "Look.... I-I should be up to you any minute, right?

The Ranger only squints further at the radio. "Um.... yes, yes, you're very close now." He eventually replies, clearing his throat so he can get his professional voice back. "Take the left on the break in Carnation rock trail, and then another, and my tower should just be on the one to the right narrow road."

"Okay, Left.... got it." The hiker shakingly responds, and communications now take another pause as the Ranger double-checks the map to make sure he got his instructions right. Yup, everything checks out.

Knowing that the path's he's on is very close, he steps out onto his balcony to see if he can spot the hiker from where he is. However, it's so dark, he's barely able to see the logs in trees. The only thing he's really able to see is.....

A pair of glowing eyes.

The ranger blinks, and then they're gone. Was that a coyote? Do those even roam this area? He shakes his paranoid thoughts aside. Dang it, his mind really is playing tricks on him. This is really a bad time, considering the fact that he's trying to save someone's life.

He goes to walk back in....

And suddenly, a massive braking sound goes off across the woods, snapping the ranger's attention back outside. He looks and hears a tree falling while something not human roaring into the open air. "What the f- WHAT WAS THAT?!" The hiker's voice frantically yells into the radio, and the ranger can see his flashlight spinning around in the distance. "Did you hear that?!"

The Ranger quickly steps back to the radio to help the man get back on his feet. "It's just a tree falling. Don't worry about it." He assures the hiker as he glances back, though unable to see much from that angle. "Just keep on the path, okay? You're almost-"

"No, no, NO!" The hiker quickly retorts with a panicked voice. "Did you hear that?! That was not a tree! Did you see that?!

The line then cuts off, and the Ranger sweats a bit as he turns back outside, only to see that the flashlight is now no longer visible. Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no. Is he okay? Did he fail? Is he dead? He better not be dead or else he's gonna-

*STATIC*

"Hey...." The hiker's voice then comes back, though shockingly much calmer than what he was five minutes ago. "I.... I lost it. But..... I'm also now no longer sure where I'm at." He then shares with the ranger, which he was able to guess by his heavy breathing. "Can you, uh.... can you shine those lights again so I can make sure?"

The Ranger lets out a breath of relief, thinking he almost just lost him with the way he sounded so freaked out. He goes over and turns on the flood lights again, making sure to hold them down for a couple minutes before letting go.

"Okay, okay.... thank you." The hiker then tells him, before the strangest thing starts happening.

He begins..... cackling.

"You should....... RUN." The hiker starts warning him for now reason, causing the Ranger to turn back to the radio with an extremely confused face. He's then put off when the sound of guttural groaning comes from both the other end.... and right outside. "Any minute."

Before he has time to process those words, the door suddenly slams open, and the hiker's body falls right through, or.... his upper half does, anyway.

Then, comes out another beastly roar, deafening the ranger's ears, all before a claw then implants itself onto the side of the wooden doorway. That's when the ranger finally gets to see it with his own eyes. Elongated limbs, sharp claws, glowing eyes, spike looking things coming out from his body, and pale, almost translucent skin with visible red veins. It slowly crawls itself into the interior of the tower, up to the ceiling.

The ranger stands there, frozen.....

Until the creature lunges at him.

?????????:

Y/N gasps as he shoots himself awake, breathing heavily as he just felt everything that ranger was feeling the second before he no-doubt got torn apart. What the fuck? What was that..... thing? That was no Vampire. W-Well, he did know that whatever the 'Goatman' was, it had to be something else, but...... that was.... something different.

But why did he.... get those dreams?

"Bad dream?" Damon's voice enters his ear drum, noticing how sweaty he is after waking up like he saw a ghost. Though.... the sweat part, was probably coming from the lack of proper air conditioning, judging by how Damon isn't even breaking a single one. But hey, he's one again gotten the second round of bullets out of him.

"Pretty.... much." Y/N confirms with a small nod, leaning his back against the gate they are now locked in. Logan made sure to keep them inside so he can figure out what to do with them once he came back, well.... do with Damon, specifically. Y/N knows what Logan wants from him. "How long....  has it been?"

"Only half an hour." Damon answers as he glances around, angry at how perfect Logan chose the room. He chose the place with shelves that behaved as a second roof, preventing the Vampire from literally jumping over. And the lock.... Logan must've laced it with some type of vervain thing-y, because it hurts the Vamp the second he touches it.

"So, in other words, we have about two to ponder if we're gonna mouth off to Logan while he beats us up like high school bullies, or beg for mercy." Y/N sarcastically remarks, finding that his voice is at least coming back a little. Looks like he's gotten use to his continuous blood loss. Man, that didn't feel like it made any kind of sense when he mentally thinks it. "What a great time...."

As he sits there, Damon tries finding other ways, punching the fence, pulling and pushing it, but nothing seems to work. It's like the thing was made by the construction crew of Greek mythology. "Can't believe a newbie who's name is Logan Fell took me by surprise." He vents while he tries another thing with the fence but fails. "Fuck! Why does fate have to be such a bitch?"

"I know right? Getting stuck in a room with you all night is more than enough for me to pull a bullet in my head.... if I had my gun." Y/N quips with a bitter nod, to which Damon gives him a small look before chuckling.

"Glad to be of service."

As the two then sit there, now having run out of options, they are pretty much wondering the same thing..... screw this.

Then, a hand grabs the fence and shakes it, causing the both of them to turn towards the locked gate and see a mostly bald, grey haired man, looking at them all from the other side. "Hello gentlemen." He greets in a cheeky manner, before holding up the keys and shaking them in his palm. "Need some assistance?"

Y/N and Damon share a look before asking the same question at the same time. "Who are-"

"No time." Candor tells them as he unlocks and opens the gate, giving them the freedom they've been craving ever since they got thrown in there. "Let's get one of you healed up and back into action." He suggests to them as they stand up, Y/N limping, and step out.

"We have a ripper to kill."

Mystic High:

Alaric is now ambling around the school, trying to be calm and casual when really, he's trying to catch at least one glimpse of Y/N inside campus. He knows that he probably shouldn't worry as much as he is, but with the things he's gone through.... what's he's done..... he's always told himself that it's better to be safe and double-safe than sorry.

While doing his walking back and forth, he can't help but notice Elena Gilbert along with her aunt, Jenna. His brain telling him that he should distract himself from being overly worried, he approaches the two of them.

"Hey, Elena..... Jenna."

The two instantly turn to him upon hearing his voice. "Hi, Mr. Saltzman." Elena greets back with a fixed smile, something the teacher easily sees past due to how inexperienced it is, like she's trying to do it for the first time.

"Yeah, I was hoping to, uh, see you tonight." Alaric says to Jenna with his best, more earnest, smile.

"Carrer night is the new bowling." Jenna humorously remarks, to which Alaric chuckles to.

"Okay, um, excuse me." Elena quickly dismisses, temporarily breaking their long staring. The two adults starting chatting when Jeremy introduced the two via the teacher's assistance in the kid's grades. Jenna seems to squint at her niece as he walks away with a perplexed expression, seemingly worried that something's going on.

"Is she okay?" Alaric questions Jenna, wondering that too.

"Oh, she and I just get the same way when we have guy trouble." Jenna semi-explains with a small shrug, apparently just leaving it at that now. "Hers is Stefan, and mine is Logan 'Scum' Fell."

Alaric raises a brow.

"Who's Logan?"

Warehouse:

It's now go time.

Damon and Y/N fetches themselves a shirt from Candor, one that isn't ruined with bullet holes. In terms of pants, Y/N will just hope that people just right it off as jeans being jeans. Now, Y/N is re-arming himself with stakes and a 'donation' of Logan's wooden and a new gun while Damon vents about what happened to Stefan over the phone.

"Logan Fell's a Vampire." Damon warns him as he observes his bare torso through a mirror. Y/N is still arming as many clips as he has in his inventory. "And when I find him again, I am gonna destroy him limb by limb."

"What happened? You okay?" Stefan asks, the question seemingly hilarious to the trio as if he was here with them, it would sound incredibly stupid.

"No, I am not okay. I was ambushed and locked behind a gate with Y/N L/N over here for a day." Damon answers in a vengeful tone, throwing his old shirt away as he keeps scanning the options for a new one.

"Y/N's with you?"

"Yeah, and he's pretty pissed too." Damon replies as he briefly glances toward the teen who's now inserting his first clip into the gun and pocketing the rest, wearing his new jacket. "Didn't you notice him not planning Vampire murder in the school?"

"I was kind of busy with the new Vampire part."

"Yeah, I can tell..." Damon mutters as he finally finds a shirt that suits his eternally old tastes. "Anyway, now I'm vengeful. Just got to find Logan and bye-bye reporter number one thousand and one."

"Well, there's no need. He's here at the school." Stefan tells him, the phone being loud enough that Y/N and Candor can hear him and glance towards Damon in slight surprise. He's..... he's gonna go and kill a bunch of students?

"You're kidding me. Why the hell is he there?"

"He's working the crowd." Stefan simply answers, to which Damon grins the second he gets his location.

"Well I'll....." Damon rolls his eyes and he decides to acknowledge his 'team' for this one occasion. "We.... will be right there." He tells Stefan before hanging up the phone. "Ugh.... can't believe I used 'we' in a sentence, after a hundred years of not needing to..." He cringes with a wince.

"So, let me get this straight." Y/N now chimes in as he stands up, turning to the stranger that busted them out, and only shared his name and species with them. "You're a.... a witch, that just happened to take interest in Mr. Fell the same time we did?"

"The male term is 'Warlock'." Candor corrects them as he finishes polishing a tiny dagger he was working with. Supposedly, it has vervain laced on its edges, but whether that's possible remains to be seen. "And not to be rude, but there's a time and place for answers, and now.... given the feral Vampire roaming your school, is not a very good time."

"Forgive him Mr. Suit Guy, the kid's very new to this, and isn't too bright, hence why he needs to ask a lot of questions." Damon mockingly 'explains' to Candor, prompting Y/N to give him a dirty look.

"You know that your brother's the only thing keeping me from putting a stake in your back, right?" Y/N reminds him with a casual voice, causing Damon to chuckle a little.

"Oh really? I thought it was the fact that I'd spin you around and snap your neck before you could even take it out of your holster." Damon darkly quips as he finishes buttoning his shirt and puts on his black leather jacket, turning towards him with a cocky smirk. "Or did you forget about that?"

"Hasn't stopped me for kicking your ass." Y/N shoots back, taking a menacing step towards him. "Multiple times."

"Correction, your little companion kicked my ass multiple times." Damon counters as he softly presses his hand against Y/N's chest, gesturing towards his soul. "If it wasn't for that, you would've been dead in those woods a long time ago."

"Alright, that's enough." Candor finally steps in, tapping on both of their shoulders with a reminding look. "I don't know if you forget, but we have a situation at Mystic High we need to resolve?"

Y/N and Damon slightly stare back at each other, before eventually walking away as they get back to the main objective.

Stopping Logan Fell.

Mystic Falls: Somewhere in the Woods

After getting into the car, Candor taking the driver seat with Damon in the passenger seat and Y/N in the back, the two began driving towards the school for Logan, only to change course when Stefan sent his brother text message saying that the new Vampire gave Caroline a 'ride home' according to Matt Donovan's words. Which, of course, means that he's taken her for a teen flavored snack.

Well, it's a good thing they'll know where he's likely taking them, and how to cut him off.

"Hey, hey, hey, wait!" Damon quickly taps on Candor's shoulder as he points towards a car coming up from the road on their right. "Over there, he's in that car."

"How do you know?" Candor asks him with a curious brow, to which Y/N answers for him.

"Because that's actually my family's car." Y/N points out. Even though he uses a motorcycle, that hasn't stopped his mother insisting that they keep them for events and whatever the excuse she fed him was.

"Oh, it is?" Damon questions with a not-knowing face. "I just said that because the license plate matched back when I first came to the warehouse."

"Yeah, well, too late, I answered first." Y/N quips with a mocking nod, trying to act like that was the best insult in the world. "So, you know..... suck it."

Damon raises a brow at him.

"Really?"

"Are you two gonna get him or not?" Candor asks as he gets ready to park. The two nod and Y/N cocks up his gun as the warlock waits until Logan finds himself at a stop sign. Then, he puts it in park mode, and Damon sprints out and over with super-speed, opening the ex-reporter's door before he can process it and pulls him out.

Logan is thrown a few feet away and groans at the sudden impact. Obviously pissed off, he stands up and gets ready to do his own super-sprinting until Y/N pops a good number of rounds into his torso, bringing him down to kiss the concrete and yellow paint. "Sit down, bitch." Y/N growls as he keeps his gun trained on him.

"Nice one." Damon compliments the one-liner before turning over to Candor as he catches up with them. "Get her out of here."

"Logan, what happened? Logan?" Liz Forbes's voice comes from Logan's voice, which Damon decides to pick up so he can relay the good news to the worried mother.

"Sheriff, h-hey, it's Damon." The Vampire tells him in his good guy persona, while Y/N gets himself some good fashioned payback by kicking Logan around a couple times in the bullet holes, earning some pained yelps from the man.

"Where's Caroline?" Liz asks in that worried motherly voice.

"She's okay, I-I'm on Elm Street." Damon informs here as Candor takes the poor girl's body and takes her back to his car where he plans to take her home as Deputy Clayton. Hanging up the phone and setting it down on the driver's chair, he then walks around the van and opens up the back, pulling out a tire iron. "Gonna try this one more time...." He does a mocking swing with it before he then walks over to the still wounded Logan as he and Y/N look down at him. Now, he's both at a few pissed off dudes' mercy. "Who turned you?"

"I told you, I don't know." Logan repeats his earlier answer in a weak voice.

"He's lying." Y/N easily calls out before shooting Logan again in the chest, emitting another scream from him.

"You know, this tire iron here could take your head clean off." Damon calmly tells their victim as he aims it at Logan as if he's a golf ball. Y/N hasn't read any possible decapitations in the journals, but since it is a hundred old Vampire who has more strength than the freshly turned one, he strongly believes him. "Is that your final answer?"

"Please say yes." Y/N playfully pleads to Logan as he tightens the grip on his gun, readily pointed it in more painful places. "I want to try shooting your dick off."

"Okay, Wolverine over here, I can understand." Logan nods towards Y/N before looking at Damon with a look of perplexation. "But you? How can you side with them?"

"I don't side with anyone." Damon retorts with a glare. "You pissed me off, I want you dead. Not only that, but you pissed Y/N off so much that you made him forget that I was his number one nemesis. So now, you're more fucked than you were during your first death." He remarks before winding up the tire iron. "Who turned you?"

"I don't know!"

"Still lying." Y/N calls him out for a second time, giving Damon the go-ahead with a look as he raises it up....

"Wait, wait! I do know! The kid's right. I do know!" Logan instantly gives in the second he realizes they're being serious about killing him. Y/N smirks as he and Damon reluctantly lower their weapons. "I know who it is and I know who they want."

"Oh really?" Y/N quips as he raises a smirk at him. "Do tell."

"They compelled me to drink their blood, hearing that I and Forbes arranged for me and Raymond to get into the woods. They want all of the founding families' journals." Logan spill the beans, hearing the plan out-loud causes Y/N and Damon to share another look.

"Why?" Damon interrogates.

"You think you're the only one that wants to get in that tomb.... underneath the old church?" Logan then brings up, which prompts Y/N to raise a brow as he glances in-between them. The tomb was mentioned in the journals, but... how does he know that Damon wants in?

"If you are lying to us-"

"I am not lying. There is another way to break the spell. We can help you." Logan insists to the Vampire. The conversation is sadly ruined when the sound of police sirens enter their ears. "Meet me at the old church."

Y/N and Damon share a look. Despite wanting to kill him right now, Damon still wanted in that tomb, and Y/N wants to discover every single Vampire that's infiltrated his town.... so he can kill them. Unable to believe he's about to agree with him on something, Y/N nods to Damon, who turns to Logan. "Take us down, make it look real."

Logan instantly punches Y/N off the road with his Vampire strength, and sends Damon against the car with another, causing him to break the glass and dent it. Right as Liz stops and comes out of the vehicle, Logan super-speeds away and the two of them are on the ground.

"Damon!" Liz sprints over to them, hand on her gun holster just in case. "Where is she?"

"She's okay..." Damon assures her, obviously back in his human act.

"Oh thank gosh...." Liz says with a sigh of relief, before noticing the teen getting up from the ground. "Y/N L/N?" She utters in slight surprise. "What are you doing here? Where have you been?"

"That guy..... kidnapped me too." Y/N tells Liz the half-truth as he walks back to his original spot, glancing at Damon. "Damon here saved my life." He then lies with the most pained feeling imaginable from having to say a line like that. Thankfully, the sheriff seems to buy this.

"Deputy Clayton's taking her home." Damon then tells Liz as he stands up, clearly disguising his body language as if it's a little banged up from the 'fight' that took place. "I'm sorry, Sheriff. I just wasn't strong enough."

With that all now cleared up, sort of, the two are eventually cleared and allowed to be on their way. Y/N swears to the police not to tell a word that he saw a man run out of sight as if he was Sonic or The Flash, he's been doing a pretty good job of it so far, he mentally adds.

"Oh, hey." Y/N quickly calls out to Damon before they leave, causing to turn at him with a curious expression. "For the record, I am never using your name and 'saved my life' in the same sentence ever again." He swears to the Vampire, who's semi-glad that they weren't about to have a moment where they 'make up'.

"I sure hope not." Damon quips back with a arrogant smirk, to which Y/N gives him a not as cheerful look. "But, just saying.... you might wanna keep an open mind in the future, in case when you actually do need me to save your sorry hide."

"And you might wanna suck my nuts." Y/N quickly shoots back with a venomous voice before turning around to make his way home, Damon mentally laughing as he watches him go.

Yeah.... he'll pass on that.

Forbes Residence:

With the front door unlocked, Candor is able to welcome himself inside and carry Caroline Forbes into her room, carefully laying her down on her bed where she's able to sleep the rest of it off. Hopefully, she wakes back up in the morning so she can get medically checked.

(Realistically, she wouldn't be able to sleep it off, but... you know, fiction.)

Once comfy and tucked in, Candor briefly looks out the window, at the full moon, before making his way back out. He's now personally met Y/N for the first time, though due to circumstances, they weren't able to have a formal greeting. He hopes, at the very least, he got in his good graces.

Something tells him that they're gonna be seeing each other again very often.

L/N Manor:

Although not having his motorbike, Y/N honestly needed the long walk back home. He needed some time to think, wondering if he's really as casual about..... about what happened inside the warehouse as he thinks he is.

As he steps inside the front door of the mansion, hanging his jacket up, he rubs his hangs against his face and sees it again. He always sees it, every time he closes his eyes, Logan's grin as he tortured him, before he feasted on him. It's like.... we was nothing.... just an animal, with no rights, forced to be nothing but food.

It made him feel....powerless. And the idea of being powerless... makes him angry.

Doing his night routine, he tries hitting the hay, but unable to get any actual sleep, no longer how long he lies himself on his bed or switches up his position. And so, now he finds himself going through his adoptive family's old journal, wondering if there's anything else he missed, why would a Vampire that old would want inside a tomb full of them.

While flipping pages, his eye catches the attention of something he recognizes. It's... It's a ring, an old looking ring, but one that he recognizes. The initials are different, but.... there's no mistaking it.

That's the same type of ring Mr. Saltzman was wearing.

Warehouse:

Having been spared, Logan's now made the riskiest choice of his life in order to save his own hide. He's going to leak the Vampire that turned him and her plans to Damon Salvatore. They may want the same thing, but its possible one might not allow the other to succeed. In other words, he might get wacked like he's in a mafia TV show.

Having grabbed his journal and stuff from the warehouse, he then makes his way back to his newly acquired vehicle... only to stop when he hears the sound of metal clanking very close by. He snaps his head around, towards the source of the noise, but doesn't see anyone.

That is, until he turns around and sees a man he doesn't recognize standing in between him and his car. Logan takes a few cautious steps back, already getting a bad feeling from him. "Who are you?"

"A friend of Jenna's." Alaric Saltzman cryptically answers, not willing to share his name with a man like him. The response he gives earn himself a raise brow from Logan.

"Jenna sent you?"

"Oh, I came on my own." Alaric replies with a shake of his head, shifting his standing position while Logan reads his body language with an amused glint in his eye.

"Ah.... I get it." Logan finally understands with a brief nod. "Well, buddy, I know you think this makes you brave, but...... actually, it makes you pretty stupid."

"Either way, here I am." Alaric quips with a small shrug. Logan mentally rolls his eyes at this and decides to just get this 'confrontation' out of the way.

"What do you want?"

"Ah, Jenna's a good person. She deserves the best." Alaric starts, not making any movements or looking like he's setting up any, but his tone sounds very..... assertive. "I'm here to make sure she gets it."

"Was that supposed to be a threat?" Logan queries him with a look, almost wanting to laugh at this poor idiot as he circles around him so now they are trading spots. "Couldn't you.... throw a punch? Maybe provoke me a little?" He challenges him, to which Alaric chuckles.

"I'm not a violent guy by design."

"Well, you're not a very smart one either." Logan points out with a small grin.

"And how's that?"

Logan slowly turns around. "'Cause you have no idea who you're talking to."

His face turns black and he charges at Alaric......

Who then stabs him in the chest with a stake, causing him to freeze as his heart is now cut open by the surprise attack. Alaric drops him to the ground and the man's skin slowly turns grey, indicating his permanent death.

Welp, guess that's his cue to leave.

L/N Manor:

Right as Y/N's about to hopefully go to sleep this time, he gets a phone call from an unknown number. "Hello?"

"Hey, please answer this questions correctly and honestly unless you want me to show up at your house again." Damon suddenly begins growling into the phone, confusing Y/N.

"What?"

"Did you go back to the warehouse tonight?" Damon then questions him with a slightly frustrated voice. "Answer me."

"No, why the heck would I do that?" Y/N replies with an even more confused tone of voice. "What even happened?"

Damon lets out a small exhale.

"Logan's dead."

(A/N) And... that's a warp! Didn't originally plan to write the second half in one night, but my motivation got the best of me, and I already hit my quota at the gym, so I felt the day was already completed by then.

Anyway, next chapter, we get back to the romance plotlines, and since we're now halfway through the season (sort of), I think it's safe to say we're now gonna be bringing the spicy stuff eventually.

Anyway, plz vote and comment, any counts as feedback, and I'll see you guys in the next one!
