Naruto couldn't watch, he saw Kakashi hit a wall, spit blood but stagger back up again, as if strings were holding him up, a broken puppet still trying to dance, Kakashi had taken down a shinobi, one. He was weak and small, a dislocated wrist that Naruto had heard snap in the beginning of the fight, undoubtably broken

"Give up little Ninja, your a mess, and your all alone" Kakashi spat at the man and hefted himself up "I'm not giving up, we are getting out" He turned to Naruto his eyes black yet shining "It's a rule; Shinobi never give up!" Kakashi charged again with renewed vigor, the man caught his hair and yanked him up, than grabbing his neck.

"I could break you" he spat, Kakashi couldn't breath chakra he needed chakra, stupid bars couldn't hold him back, closing his eyes and falling limp Kakashi focused all of his energy to his neck, Naruto saw Kakashi fall slack and gasped,

rage gradually began building up in him, Kakashi wasn't supposed to die! And than the man that had been holding Kakashi twitched, it was slight, barely visible, than he twitched again this time like there was something on his shoulder, his head fell back and he screamed shaking violently as sparks danced up his body, lightening, Kakashi's main element.

The man fell and didn't get up dropping Kakashi, who could barely breath let alone move, everything swayed, he was in so much pain tears fell from his eyes

Kakashi staggers upward and the remaining two shinobi gasped in astonishment he clutched the mans keys and stumbled to Naruto's chains "Come on Kakashi! I know you can do it! Let me help you get me out!" Kakashi's fingers felt like jello, no slime he unchained the first cuff taking a long while

"One more to go" said Naruto fake cheerfulness in his voice trying to sound encouraging that's when the two shinobi ran forward, the first had a kunai in his hand and the other a Katana "Hurry!" Naruto yelped and Kakashi nodded blurry, he wasn't going to die,

He handed Naruto the keys, and turned to the shinobi, he ran forward, reckless and utterly surprising, the man jumped back and Kakashi grabbed his leg, using his momentum he slammed him down and grappled for the kunai the man scratched at his face and mask, and Kakashi kneed him in the groin, grabbing the Kunai and slitting his throat using his teeth

the man in one last desperate attempt grabbed a shurikan and stabbed it into Kakashi's chest before falling limp, Kakashi swayed and fell.

Naruto ran and caught his Sensei Laying him gently on the ground, and turning to the last shinobi with the katana "How much chakra do I have Kurama?"
"What the hell Naruto I was sleeping talk later"
"Kurama " Kurama heard the desperate tone in his voice and flipped a ruby red eye open

"I'll give you some of mine, but after that your pretty much out, it'll last one good fight before you go into life reserves which isn't a smart idea" Kurama paused "Leave it to the small Kakashi to use his life reserves so he could manipulate the chakra that he was being drained of" Naruto was horrified Kakashi had used his LIFE reserves? "Alright give me the chakra I'll be careful"

"You never are Kit" Naruto felt a burst of chakra it was exhilarating, the nine tailed chakra could surpass chakra absorbent bars, (With a small toll of course) Naruto rushed the man the man sliced forward with his katana and Naruto dodged, the man jumped and side kicked sending Naruto flying into a wall, these men were freakishly strong.

"Shadow clone justsu!" Naruto yelled doing the hand signs the man laughed "You can't do Jutsu in here-" The man was surrounded by clones and they attacked he sliced through half of them but got pummeled pretty bad, he found the real Naruto and grabbed him by the collar Katana at the ready

"I'm going to kill you and your little friend too" (A/N sorry that sounded a lot like the wizard of Oz!? but that makes Kakashi Toto so that's...Cute I guess!? I don't know I'm tired...) Naruto head butted the man hard in the face sending him reeling backwards (There was a reason he was called a knuckle head) Naruto slammed his foot onto the man knocking him out and ran to Kakashi.

"Kakashi!" He felt his neck, a pulse but very weak he picked Kakashi up astounded to see how small the boy really was, he was younger than Rin and Obito but he seemed larger than life, passed out and bleeding he seemed fragile and his true age.

Naruto gently took out the shurikan embedded in his stomach only to have it gush blood more, he should have listened to Sakura, or Grandma Tsunade!

He ran out of wherever they were being held, a cave of sorts, with a dungeon hidden underground he looked up at the sun, Konoha was north-east he began running in the General direction, but Kakashi was loosing blood rapidly, he had used life chakra and got handed quite the beating from the shinobi, he was a mess and had forged through so much just to save them.

Naruto collapsed, tears streamed down his face, as she tried to stanch the bleeding "not again Kakashi Sensei please not again!" He ripped off his orange and black jacket and wrapped it tightly around Kakashi's midsection he felt his neck again.

"Kakashi?" No pulse he had gone silent "KAKASHI!!!"

His heart had stopped for a moment but haltingly it kept going, Naruto was frantic, Kakashi was dying it was obvious,

he wouldn't get to Konoha on time, he didn't even know where he was and Kakashi was dying almost dead. Naruto broke down "I p-p-promised I would change things and make them better! I promised I'd, I'd- I'd save you! Why? Why do I always fall short? You have to be okay! Your going to be Okay!"

Naruto was sobbing and trying to think of anything to help Kakashi "Well, look at that they didn't get far" Naruto heard an evil voice say, no, he couldn't get trapped again! Kakashi was going to die! He couldn't die! No! NO!

He whirled around ready to fight tooth and nail to protect his friend. But instead of stone shinobi there was a black robed red clouded Akatsuki with silvery hair and a smirk that Naruto hated.

"It looks like you need some help sunshine" he said apathetically and bent down picking him up and setting him on his shoulders, Naruto tried to protest but it was to no avail, Hidan next picked up Kakashi cradling him gently in his arms,

he than grabbed his three bladed scythe and swing it at the ground murmurs something and everything spiraled, Naruto threw up and blacked out.

"Naruto?" Naruto blinked what-? He saw a man with spiky blond hair and worried blue eyes "Are you- Your awake!" The man yelled exuberant "Oh thank goodness I was so worried" Minato smiled fondly at his son, proud at how strong and brave he was

"K-a-k-a-kakashi?" Naruto choked out and Minato's smile dimmed a little "He's alive, but he hasn't woken up yet, you two look like you've been through hell, I was so worried for both of you! Don't worry Kakashi is strong he'll recover" Minato added as if trying to convince himself as well that Kakashi would be alright.

"How did Hidan find us?" Naruto asked throat dry and Minato stood up to get some water which Naruto gulped down desperately, Minato smiled and grabbed some more. "I don't know but there's a good man...somewhere inside him, deep, deep down inside of him but there nonetheless"

"He's a jerk" sputtered Naruto but he smiled, maybe he could call the foul mouthed Akatsuki his friend...Just maybe "You should rest Naruto, you've been through a lot, Obito and Rin will come visit in the morning and one more thing"

Minato paused and gently rubbed back Naruto's hair from his face "I am incredibly proud of you, you are the best son I could wish for, someone kind and brave, who cares for their friends and strives to make a difference...I'm proud your my son" Naruto smiled and fell asleep feeling warm and happy.
