Chapter 11: SURPRISE! The Mountain's been taken out by ONE guy!

-3rd Person P.O.V.-

To say Red Arrow (Roy) was shocked when he first came to the cave, was an understatement. It took him several minutes for him to actually move again, and when he did, he ran to the computer. He called every league member, telling them to get to the cave and drop whatever it was they were doing. Whether it was family, a mission, relaxing or just generally everyday things, they were to drop it immediately. Black Canary was the first to arrive, and she just stood there in horror before Superman came. Even he, the man of steel was shocked to the core. Both leaguers just stood there, trying to process the scene in front of them, just like Roy had been. Next was Flash. Like the other two, he was frozen in fear. But he was the first to make a move, once he saw his nephew trying to push himself from the ground but fail.
"Are...Are they-?" Black Canary stuttered, not knowing how to finish her sentence, before snapping back to her senses and running over to the fire to put it out. Superman went to help the Altantian on the floor, making the boy subconsciously groan.
"Roy. What happened?" Black Canary asked, going around to check everyone's pulse.
"I don't know. I just got here and they were already like this."

League member after member filed in, each stunned by what had happened. Wally was the only one awake, and all he could do was slightly mutter words, as the nanobots in his system took their toll.

When Nightwing stepped through the zeta beam that's when the volcano erupted. The league was confused as to why Batman was not with him when they found out he was already here. Flash scouted the mountain until he eventually found Batman in the mission room. 

To once again say the league were shocked is an understatement.

"Hey kiddo." Flash greeted as he walked over to his nephew's bed.

"Help..." Wally muttered.

"We're trying." Flash frowned, hating to see his nephew in such a weakened state.

"No...Robin...Help..." He tried.

"What, Robin? Help Robin?" Flash asked, before it clicked. Everyone was here, but Robin, and he was staying at the mountain.

"Robin was the target!" Flash shouted, gaining the attention of several leaguers.
"What?" Superman asked, walking over.

"I think Robin was the target. Think about it, Robin was staying at the mountain, and now he's gone."

"We're about to find out. I've found the footage of when it happened." Wonder Woman stated, before gesturing to the other leaguers to follow.

Wonder Woman played the footage of the attack, and the rest of the league watched intensely.

---Camera Footage---

Zeta beam: hack override. Granting access.
The female voice of the zeta beam echoed throughout the cave, alerting the team.
The team immediately stood up, practically glaring at whoever was materializing in THEIR cave without theirs or the league's permission. Kid Flash zoomed towards the Zeta Beam to get a better look.
A man in a orange and black mask, with body armed materialized.
"Who are you?" Aqualad asked. M'gann was staring intensely at the man's face, as he felt familiar. Then she gasped.
"I recognize him!" She shouted.
"Does it matter? Just punch him!" Superboy groaned.
"Superboy, wait! He's... When I was passing by Robin's room yesterday, I heard one of his thoughts. I didn't mean to, I swear. But this person... He's the one who attacked Robin on our mission!" M'gann informed them.
Kid Flash's head snapped to the side to face the man again, fury written all over his face.
"You were the one who hurt my best friend?" He shouted, before charging at the man. Slade took a step forward, waiting for the precise second he could attack the fastest kid alive. Once the boy was in range, he easily tripped him, grabbing his arm midair as he fell, also drawing his sword covered with millions of microscopic nanobots, and sliced it at his arm, infecting the boy with the poisonous nanobots. KidFlash let out a yelp, but pushed his feet into the ground, gaining his footing, and swinging his left foot at the man's mask. Deathstroke easily caught his ankle, not affected in the slightest at the kid's glare, before snapping the bone with both hands, ensuring it was twisted to add to the damage. KF let out a scream, as his now broken bone was harshly grabbed and was used to throw him, unfortunately for him more force was added with a kick to the stomach, sending his flying into the wall, creating a large crater around him, his leg twisting even more awkwardly at the impact.
Superboy let out an angry roar (as usual) and jumped high in the air aiming at Deathstroke, planning to rip out the man's throat for what he's done to his best friends. Deathstroke's counter was easy. He pulled out a gun and shot a glowing green bullet at Superboy. Superboy, seeing the attack managed to move slightly, allowing the bullet to slam into his shoulder instead of his arm. The effect of the Kryptonite covering the bullet was immediate, along with the nanobots being released into his blood stream. Super boy, not being able to counter his weakness, practically passed out midair. Unfortunately he was still on course for Deathstroke. Deathstroke wasted no time, punching him straight in the stomach when he was in range, all oxygen seemingly leaving Superboy's body. Aiming for more damage, Slade punched the clone as hard as he could in the chest before kicking him away. M'gann gasped. "Superboy!" She cried, flying towards her fallen teammate (And crush). Aqualad pulled out his water bearers.
"You will pay." He stated, before Charging at the mercenary. Deathstroke, not wanting to wait any more time, as the longer he waited the more Robin would be electrocuted, Simply swatted a water bearer out of Aqualad's hand, kicking the unsuspecting boy in the knee, and swiping at him with his sword, infecting the Atlantian with nanobots. Aqualad winced but didn't have enough time to do anything else as his feet (Flipperssssss) were kicked out from under him, and a punch to his temple send him flying. Effectively knocking him out in the process.

M'gann gasped, as she gaped at her fallen comrades around her. One man could do so much damage! He even easily took care of Superboy! Determined, but terrified, she decided to try and take on the man. Clearly, a head on physical attack wasn't going to work. M'gann flew up, flying in random directions to make herself a harder target as she attacked the man mentally. The man's mental barrier was strong, and M'gann found herself having to use almost all her strength to break through. Shock and Horror coursed throughout M'gann as all of a sudden the man dropped his mental shields, allowing her into his mind, but images of horrible deaths surfaced. 

A terrified man was pressed against the wall begging to live.

"Please, I'm sorry. Whatever I did, I'm sorry! Please! Let me live! I'm begging you!" The man begged. The begging had no effect as Deathstroke lifted his sword, and swiftly killed the man, blood spluttering against the wall. The man fell with a thud, his eyes turning glossy, but still somewhat full of fear.

M'gann gasped, and struggled to keep her balance as the memory surfaced in her mind. Deathstroke wasted no time, using the weapon attached to his wrist. Fire hurtled towards M'gann, and she let out a scream as it burned her, falling to the ground. M'gann landed with a thud, feeling even weaker as something lit up in flames behind her. She fought to stay awake, but passed out as the severe burns continued to take their toll. Deathstroke throw a small pellet towards her, and it went up in black smoke, M'gann breathing in the microscopic nanobots.

-End of Footage-

The leaguers stared in horror, and slight amazement as they watched the footage. Flash, however - was completed mortified as he watched his Nephew be easily deposed of. Aquaman, however was horrified as he watched his protege easily taken care of. Each member was completely furious, but their fury disappeared slightly when they saw Robin being dragged off by Deathstroke.

"No! Let me go! Let. Me. Go!" Robin shouted, thrashing around violently, but clearly having no effect whatsoever. His hands reached up in an attempt to rip off Deathstroke's hands from his collar, but fail easily.

Kid Flash was welcomed back to the land of conscious.

"Robin!" KF Shouted,

"KF! Are you okay?!" Robin shouted, momentarily stopping his useless struggling.

"Not even going to answer that!" Kid Flash shouted back, prying himself from the dent in the wall. Robin once again began his useless struggle, until they reached the zeta beam. Robin realized what the man was planning to do, and mouthed something, but it was too hard to tell what he was saying.
Until further investigation anyways.

"ROBIN!" Kid Flash shouted as the boy was beamed away.

"Whoever that was..." Flash started, glaring at the screen with all his might. "I'm going to kill him."
The League stayed quiet, while Roy, and Nightwing openly (Loudly) agreed to do the same.

The Batfamily was more then ready to break their no kill rule.
Jason, however, had already done so, and planned to do it again.

*Robin's P.O.V.*

I Had, reluctantly, entered the same car from before. The silence could be sliced with a knife as it was so awkward. But I did my best to put up with it. Instead staring intensely out the window, trying to see where we were going. That way, I would at least have hope of knowing where I am, if I can contact the league.
Until Slade noticed this, and threw a pellet with knock-out gas at me.

That Bastard.

*Le Time Skip*

When I woke up, I was lying in something soft. For a moment, I thought I was at home. Until what happened came crashing down on me. I bolted up, expecting to be in some sort of cage. What I saw was not what I was expecting however. I was in a small room, with a green carpet, and blue walls. There was a nightstand next to the bed I was lying on. To the side of me, on the opposite side of the wall was a cupboard, most likely for clothes or weapons. There were two doors. One at the foot of the bed, although there was a decent space between, and other door was next to the cupboard. The walls were bare. I stood up and went to the door at the end of my bed. It was open. I opened it and looked inside, to see a bathroom. A simple shower, toilet, and sink were inside, along with a cupboard hanging above the sink. There was two towels, a hand towel, and the other one was most likely for showers. I closed the door, and went to the other one by the cupboard. It was locked. I desperately tried to open it, but to no avail. I sighed and kicked the door. Pain spiked by foot as I kicked it. It was metal, but it sure as hell didn't look like it.  Out of instinct my hand went towards my utility belt, but it wasn't there. I looked down, panic rising in me. Where was it?! I spun around, hoping to see it somewhere, most likely on the bed. I couldn't see it anywhere! My hands rose to my face, checking for my mask. 

That was also gone.

Slade took my mask, and my utility belt. My holo-glove was still there. I turned it on, only to see it was still scrambled from the car's EMP.

DAMMIT!

"You really have thought of everything, haven't you?" I muttered to no one in particular. I could imange Slade laughing at me, wherever he was right now. I sighed and sat on the bed, waiting for Slade.

GOOD EVENING FOLKS!

Two weeks for one chapter, left on a Slight cliffhanger...
