I was at the base, Arcee, Bumblebee and Bulkhead were with their charges. So it was just me at base. Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Optimus we're taking about who knows what.
I walk over the monitors where they were talking and and Ratchet making some sort of concoction. Wheeljack was walking backward and knocked the concoction that ratchet was making, the formula spilled. Not on the floor, but on the red and blue mech. We, of course, didn't notice. Then BAM. smoke was everywhere.
"Ratchet," I coughed "what was that"

"My formula!!, HWEELJACK!!!"

"Sorry Doc. Didn't see"

The smoke cleared, and Optimus disappeared I look around, I didn't see him, or hear him walk away,

"Ratchet...what did you make exactly!" I asked

Ratchet froze and also realized that Optimus was missing, and scanned the ground,

"... a shrinking formula" he said quietly

I froze, if that spilled on Optimus, which it probably did. He could get squished and we wouldn't notice. how small was he? Where was he exactly? How will we find him.   all these thoughts rushed through my head of bad possibilities. I snapped out of my thoughts and ran to the ladder, and climbed down and slowly lowered my foot to the ground being careful, I look over and see where the formula was spilt, but instead of it being flat there was a figure. That looked about 3 inches tall,

"Ratchet, Wheeljack back up...please" I asked

They both backed up but slowly and watching where they were stepping. Just in case. I slowly walked over to where the formula was spilt, and saw the figure walking away from the formula, I walked over to the formula was and kneeled down, looking at the figure,

"Optimus?" I questioned

He turned around with a confused expression

"Why...why is everything bigger." He asked

I looked at Wheeljack

"Scrap head over there knocked ratchets formula on you." I said

"By accident sunshine"

I rolled my eyes and held out my hand so Optimus could climb on, he hesitated but soon got on, I stood back up and walked to the stairs to get to the human area. I held him close to my chest so he wouldn't fall. I got up the stairs and placed him in the couch and walked over to the monitors by Ratchet. He activated the ground bridge for Wheeljack, and deactivated after he went through.

"What do we do, how do we reverse the affects." I asked

"I-I still need to figure that out" he said

"You...so your telling me that you made something that doesn't have a counter affect or something for it."

"...yea..."

I sighed and walked away towards the couch, Optimus sat there patiently. He was looking down playing with his digits. He looks nervous. Why would he nervous? Is it cause he small? I sat down carefully next to him. And looked down at him.

"Optimus, are you okay?" I asked

He looked up at me,

"It's different, I now know how you feel around us Autobots." He said and looked back down playing with his digits again. I swear I saw a blue ting across his face. I moved my arm closer to him, I then moved my hand around to comfort him, hopefully. He flinched, looked straight, then at me. I smirked and he smiled. Then quickly I scooped him up and brought him to face level. He looked at me with fright then turned into confusion.

"Listen, as of right now our roles are switched, I'm your guardian until Ratchet figures out a way to fix this." I said smiling, jabbing my finger at his chassis. He smiled back at me. I moved my hand slowly towards my shoulder, he understood and jumped off my hand, and sat on my shoulder.

In the distance, the sound of 3 vehicles came into view, Arcee transformed first and looked around the base for any sign for Optimus, next it was Bee, and then Bulkhead. The kids weren't with them.

"Ratchet, where's Optimus?" She questioned

He looked at me.

"Right here" I heard Optimus say, they couldn't hear him because of how small he is.

"Right here" I repeated

The bots looked at me, confused. I used my hand to motion them closer which they came closer, and I leaned my head out of the way so they could see Optimus on my shoulder. Arcee gasped, Bee beeped and whirled, and Bulkhead looked so confused.

"HOW?!" They said in unison, assuming Bee also said that.

"And Ratchet didn't think about a counter affect" Arcee said giving Ratchet the death glare. Ratchet returned the glare then started arguing, Then bee and Bulkhead got involved. I back away, with Optimus still in my shoulder.

"Let go somewhere else" I said

"Agreed" he answered and placed his servo on my neck, I blushed a  little

I walked to the lift and went to the top of the base, I didn't realize the time, until I got to the top, the sun what dipping below the horizon, starting to set, the colors were deep and vibrant, the red starting at the sun, then slowing turning into a vibrant orange, then a a yellow, a faint green the the rest of the sky was a dark blue mixed with black, with the stars creeping out as the sun sets.

"Wow" I heard Optimus whisper.

"It's beautiful." I said quietly

"Just like you" He said quietly, I turned to look at him, my eyes wide. He still was looking forward at the sunset.

"Optimus, I..." I said but was cut off

"Yes, I will admit. I, in fact, do have feelings for you, and I had those feelings for quite a while." He explained, he turned and looked at me with a smile, I started at him and I could feel my face getting hot.

"O-Optimus, I've w-well had th-those feeling a-also. I j-just didn't know h-how to say it." I stuttered and looked away, I felt him shifting on my shoulder, and felt his arms warp around my neck as in a hugging sort of way. I moved my hand and cupped them around Optimus, as in to hug him back. I moved my hand and he shifted back to where he was originally.

The sun disappeared below the horizon and the stars scattered across the sky, and the night got colder.

"Are you alright?" I heard Optimus say

"Yea, why?" I asked

"I felt your shoulder shiver. Are you cold?"

"Yea it is a little cold out, I think we should go back into base"

"Yes, we should"

I turned around and walked back to the lift to go down to base. As the lift was going down, I heard muffled voices and things getting moved around, as if they were looking for something. The lift touched the ground and the doors open up to see a messy human area and the bots all huddled up in a corner, trying to take up the least amount of space possible. While scanning the ground

"What the scrap happened!" I yelled at the bots

They looked up at where my voice came from, and they looked scared and worried.

"I think they didn't know we left" Optimus whispered into my ear

He slowly got away from the corner, embarrassed.

"Primus, you have to tell us that you left." Ratchet spoke

"You guys were arguing so I just left, sorry" I replied

Ratchet rolled his eyes, and Arcee came up toward the human area, and asked

"So what's the plan until ratchet figured out a counter affect"

I looked at Optimus for an answer.

"When decepticon activity arises, you are in charge, as well I can't do anything at the moment." He said

"He said 'When decepticon activity arises, you are in charge, as well I can't do anything at the moment." I repeated so she could hear.

She nodded and walked away towards the berthrooms. As did Bee and Bulkhead. I walked towards the couch. I held my hand near my shoulder and Optimus jumped on. I sat down on the couch and slouched down, I put my hand on the cushion. And Optimus walked off and towards the edge of the couch. My eyelids started to get heavy, and I've been slipping in and out of consciousness. Optimus saw this and walked back over to my frame. He hesitated but then started to climb on my frame, I also realized this and was conscious enough to see what was happening. He struggled to climb so I helped. I held my hand under him to help him get up. He ended up on my stomach and started to walk towards my chest. I chuckled as he did this, and he stumbled as I did and fell but didn't get up. He probably was tired also. He moved his helm to look at me. And I smiled. He also smiled and his optics started to dim. Soon his optics were closed and he fell into recharge. I chuckled quietly. He looked cute like this. As slow as possible I tried getting into a more comfortable position without waking up the mech. I moved my hand so it was cupped around Optimus frame. I soon fell asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~Next day~~~~~~~~~~~

I woke up, and yawned. I looked down to see the mech still asleep on my chest. A smile formed across my face. I looked back up towards the monitors to see Ratchet there. Working. My hand still cupped around Optimus, I got up slowly, trying not to wake him up. And he slid down into my hand so that I was holding him, I got off the couch and walked over towards the monitors.

"Ratchet," I asked "did you figure something out?"

"I'm close I'm missing one equation. I will tell you when I find it."

"Okay, thanks."

I waked back to the couch and as I was walking I felt Optimus move, I looked down at my hand and he started to sit up, he got up and looked around and realized where he was.

"Good morning sleepyhelm." I laughed

He looked up at me,

"Good morning, did Umm. Ratchet by any chance figure out a counter affect?" He asked

"I asked he said he needed on more equa-" I got cut off by Ratchet

"I GOT IT. HAHA!" He yelled

Me and Optimus looked at the cheerful mech. And he looked at us with glee,

"Put him on the berth" he said and pointed to one near the med bay.

I practically ran down the stairs, I closed my hand making sure Optimus wouldn't fly out and stopped and placed him on the berth. Ratchet came over with a beaker in hand

"Back up" He said

I followed his order and back up, Ratchet then dropped a small droplet in Optimus. Then BAM, more smoke. I started coughing again. And once the smoke cleared Optimus was full height.

He looked at his servos and then his surroundings. He stood up and looked at me, and scooped me up in his servos.

"Now I'm back to being your guardian again" he states while jabbing a digit at my chest, I laughed and he brought me closer to his face.

"Thank you" he whispered

I smiled then I kissed him on the dermas, he moved his hand away from his face and I saw a blue ting and a smile.

"Your welcome" I said happily

I was thinking,

If he was this small, how small would his alt mode be?

I smiled at this thought, i turned my head to my shoulder where Optimus was sitting at, while smiling

"What?" He said confused

"Oh, nothing." I said innocently

I used my free hand and gently picked him up by the exhaust pipes on his back. And brought him up to my face

"I just had a thought" I giggled

He huffed "and what was your thought"

"How small would your alt mode be?" I said while placing on the ground carefully

He sighed but gave in. He transformed. i squealed, it looked like a toy car, then he started to drive around and i started giggling like no tomorrow. i covered my mouth with my hands and stood on my tip toes. he drove around my legs and transformed back to his bi-pedal form in front of me

"That's how small it is" he huffed but smiled. i kneeled down to his height.

"well it was adorable"

his face was a light ting for about 10 minutes after i said that.

A/N: I don't know why but like I really love this, and it's kinda cringe but Its so cute. I had a different idea instead of ratchet making a concoction it would be a relic but idk I like this one
