"ITS STARTING." Theia reached for Druig, clutching onto his arm, "Druig, it's starting."

Druig looked at her for a moment, pausing in place. She rushed into the center of the ship, where Phastos was examining what had been going on.

"Phastos," He looked up at her, his eyes full of worry. "It's happening."

"I know, I know." He stammered, he turned to Makkari and placed his compass atop of her hand, nodding toward her and mumbling something Theia hadn't picked up on.

"How much longer do we have?"

"I dont know!"

Theia ran a hand through her hair and leaned against the wall, tapping her foot on the ground anxiously.

"It's going to be alright," Druig said softly, rubbing his thumb across hers.

"I need to find Ikaris." She walked away and searched each room for her brother.

She found him in the room she'd least expected in, the hub where they used to put their suits on. He was standing up against his spot and he had his suit on, "Ikaris. What are you doing?"

He looked up at her and stared for a moment before walking up to her, "I wanted you to have peace, I did. I wanted you to be happy and free."

"Ikaris, I don't understand--"

"I wish Ajak hadn't chosen you." His tone was stern. She searched his features for any kind of emotion but there wasn't any.

Taken back by his words, she took a step away.

"I wanted to protect you." Were the last words he said before leaving.

After a moment of trying to figure out what he had meant, it all clicked.

She ran after him and into the center. Where he was blowing up the invention Phastos had made.

"What! What are you doing?" Kingo exclaimed, the others stepping forward.

"I've let this go on long enough."

"He lied to us!" Theia claimed, moving back toward Druig, afraid of what Ikaris might do to her.

"No, he didn't." Kingo scoffed,

"Why would I lie, Kingo?"

"Ajak told me everything when we left." Ikaris's jaw was clenched, along with his fists at his side.

"What?" Kingo's tone was laced with hurt.

"He never wanted to stop the Emergents." Theia swallowed, looking at her brother -- someone she didn't recognize anymore.

"No. I only wanted to protect you from the Deviants."

"Hey, Ikaris," Theia smirked, "If Ajak wanted you to lead us then why did she choose me?"

Ikaris's eyes turned golden and he looked as though he was about to strike Theia but then Druig stepped in front of her, shielding her as his eyes dimmed to a yellow, he was being controlled by Druig.

"What have you done?" Sersi cried,

Just then, realization hit all of them and Druig read Ikaris's mind, "He killed her."

Theia gasped softly, struggling for air as it felt as though her lungs collapsed, her heart being pung with betrayal.

"I had to." Ikaris's eyes were teary now. His voice breaking.

"She loved you," Sersi whispered as her eye filled with tears.

Ikaris choked on a sob, "Do you think it was easy to live with the truth? To know that one day all of this would end?" He looked at Theia, "To keep on lying to you?" He cried, "If we gave humanity the choice, how many of them would be willing to die so that billions more could be born?"

"We're not giving them a choice." Phastos spoke, "Is this why you're willing to kill?" Phastos shook his head, "you are so pathetic!"

Ikaris glared at him, "I'm an Eternal, Phastos. I exist for arishem. As do you."

"I wouldn't change a single thing about who I am. Born or made, but I do not exist for arishem. I exist for my family!"

Makkari then came back, "I found Tiamut!" She signed,

"No!" Phastos shouted and Ikaris blasted him.

"Get out of here!" Kingo ordered Makkari before standing up and holding two fingers out, a ball of golden beaming out of his hand and pointing at Ikaris. "You do not turn against your family. Gilgamesh died because of you."

"You wont succeed against me. And I will kill every one of you if I have to." He faced Theia one more time, who now had a tear running down her cheek while Druig's arm was wrapped around her, his lips pressed to the top of her head before turning around.

"Wait!" Sprite said, "I'm going with you."

"Me too," Theia said, wiping the tear from her cheek.

Druig reached for her hand, "Theia, no--"

"He's my brother." Theia croaked, walking toward Sprite and Ikaris.

And they left.
