Y/N'S POV

"We're not leaving without you, Vanya!" I said, my voice steady, but internally, my system was anything.

The wind outside howled, and the house trembled under the pressure of her rising anger. Objects rattled and crashed around us, as if the very walls could feel the chaos within her. My sensors locked onto her, registering the surge of energy in her body, every fiber of her being ready to explode.

"I'm only trying to help you!" I pleaded.

"I don't want your help!" Vanya shouted back, her voice trembling with the weight of her emotions.

Allison, standing just a few feet away, reached out, her voice breaking with desperation. "Vanya, I love you!"

Vanya snapped, her words sharp as a blade. "Stop saying that!"

The house shook again, the windows rattling as if responding to the storm building inside her. My systems flickered—status updates flashing across my internal display.

My sensors flickered again, a series of rapid, conflicting commands flashing before my eyes. I tried to prioritize, but the choices kept shifting, both options pulling at me. I could feel the tension in the air—the house, the walls, everything was shaking, responding to the emotional instability in the room.

One must be saved. The other... eliminated.

My system locked between the two targets. The glitch was growing worse, and I couldn't focus on anything but the overwhelming need to choose. My vision blinked back and forth between Vanya and Allison, data shifting faster than I could process.

The system locked once more.

Decision required: Prioritize one target.

I turned back to Vanya, the intensity of the storm swirling around us. The house seemed to breathe with the chaos—every creak of wood, every gust of wind felt like it was echoing her inner turmoil. The lights above flickered, threatening to explode with the force of her emotions. Everything was shaking.

"Are you... are you okay?" Allison's voice trembled as she asked, her eyes locked on Vanya.

"I said go!" Vanya shouted, her voice filled with pain and fury.

The lights above us shattered in an instant, sending sparks flying in every direction. Allison yelped, instinctively ducking to shield herself. The storm in the room intensified, and I could feel the weight of it in my system, the data pouring in from every angle. My sensors were overloaded, flashing warnings at me faster than I could process.

Make a choice.

The wind howled, rattling the walls, as Vanya's emotions swirled out of control. Her violin bow rose, the tension in the air palpable. I could see it—she was about to strike. The danger was too high. I had to protect Allison.

But then, I felt Allison's presence. Her voice, a faint whisper in the back of my mind.

"Please... don't make me do this."

I froze. Her words, laced with desperation, rang through me. I felt her touch, her intent, even as my systems screamed at me to act. The conflict inside me intensified. I knew what she was about to do.

llison was already reaching for her power. My systems locked on to her, running calculations, but before I could intervene, Vanya struck.

Her bow sliced through the air, aimed straight for Allison. I reacted instinctively, extending my arm to block it. To block Allison. The bow's sharp tip grazed my skin, and pain shot through my sensors as the metal sliced into my arm. I didn't flinch. I couldn't. My focus was on the danger.

The next moment, everything exploded.

A surge of sound and energy erupted from Vanya. Her power, untamed and overwhelming, shattered the air, and the force of it slammed into us. A wave of pressure hit me so hard I was thrown back, my body crashing into the wall with a violent impact. The wind roared, and every window in the house shattered, sending glass flying through the air in a deadly storm of shards.

I hit the ground with a deafening thud, the sound of breaking glass still echoing in my ears. The wind—once furious—suddenly stopped. The world went quiet.

My eyes snapped open, and I blinked hard, the world spinning as my vision flickered and glitched. The sounds of the destruction still echoed through the room, but I was locked on one thing: the urgent warnings flooding my system.

SYSTEM ALERT:
Warning: Severe injury detected.
Location: Left arm.
Status: Open wound. Immediate medical attention required.

My vision blinked, fractured like a shattered mirror. The once-clear view of the room—the destruction, the broken glass, the bodies of Allison and Vanya—was now just a blur. The world around me felt distant, distorted. Static hummed in my auditory sensors, the once-precise readouts now garbled with error codes. My body, once capable, now felt like a cage—a broken, malfunctioning machine.

Warning: Electrical failure imminent.
Warning: Power grid instability. Critical levels at 40%. Immediate shutdown in 3 minutes.

I could feel it—the sparks in my circuits, the sharp pain that wasn't supposed to exist in me. A deep, metallic ache radiated from where my arm had once been, my exposed wires twitching. But the pain didn't make sense.

"Y/n!"

A voice shattered the darkness, and I blinked my eyes open. Through the static in my vision, I saw her—Vanya. She was running toward me, her face pale, her hands trembling. I wanted to tell her it was okay, that I wasn't hurt—that it would all be fine. But I couldn't.

I could only watch as she knelt beside me, her breath shallow, her eyes frantic.

"You—your arm!" Vanya's voice cracked, panic seeping into her tone. I turned to see my left arm, severed at the elbow, lying useless at my side. I had used it to block her, and now it was gone. I had given everything to protect her, and now I was falling apart.

I couldn't move. My body felt cold, unresponsive. Glass shards had embedded deep into my legs, my torso, my body—pieces of me lost to the wreckage.

"Y/n, I'm sorry! What do I do?!" Vanya cried, her hands shaking as she hovered near me, helpless. The tears in her eyes made it hard to look at her. I wanted to comfort her, but my vocal processors were dead, and my body was too far gone.

I couldn't stop my vision from dimming. I could feel the weight of my failure—the feeling of helplessness. I wasn't designed to feel anything like this, but here I was, drowning in it. I couldn't save her. I couldn't save anyone.

I turned my gaze slowly toward Allison, who was still on the floor, her body crumpled. My systems had shut down temporarily—my vision was fuzzy. I couldn't scan her heart. I couldn't feel her pulse.

My systems:
Critical damage detected.
Heartbeat scanning failed.
Vitals unavailable.

I couldn't move, but I could see the blood on Allison's neck. The bow, the very thing Vanya had used to protect herself, had caused this. Vanya, frantic and guilty, stumbled toward her, calling her name.

But I couldn't act. I couldn't save them anymore. The realization was crashing over me like a flood. They needed me, and I was powerless.

My system flashed a warning, and for the briefest of moments, something inside me began to awaken again—just as it was all about to shut down.

SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS:
Critical failure: Power source depleted.
Remaining operational capacity: 10%
Warning: shutdown initiated in 30 seconds.

But before everything went dark, a new set of data appeared on my interface, just as my system began its final shutdown:

New Primary Users Detected:
Vanya Hargreeves - Designation: Primary User 1
Allison Hargreeves - Designation: Primary User 2

I couldn't fully comprehend the meaning, but I knew this was the last thing my system could give me—the last piece of data it had the capacity to process. They were the ones now.

The weight of that realization didn't matter. I couldn't protect them anymore. My body—my circuits—were failing faster than I could even register.

SYSTEM STATUS:
Power failure imminent. Core collapse in 5... 4...

And with the last breath of my system, I let go. The lights flickered and died. My final thought, the last thing to cross my processing unit, was a memory—a brief echo of a figure I once knew, a figure who would find me here, broken. Five.

He will find me here. I don't know when or how, but he will. He will be upset. He will...

The thoughts dissolved as my system executed its final command.

And with that, I was gone.

The room around me fell into stillness. No more flickers. No more alerts. No more pain.

I was shut off. Destroyed.

THIRD PERSON POV

Vanya stood frozen, her breath shallow and erratic, her eyes flickering between the two lifeless bodies before her. The silence in the room was suffocating, broken only by the distant hum of a storm still swirling outside. She glanced at Allison first—her sister, who was choking on her own blood, her body still and unmoving. And then, her eyes slowly shifted to Y/n.

Y/n, propped against the wall, her eyes still open, but lifeless. She wasn't breathing anymore. Her left arm was gone, severed clean off, the exposed wires sparking, twisted and broken. Glass shards embedded deep into her body, no blood seeping from the wounds. The damage was catastrophic.

Vanya's heart raced as her mind scrambled to process what had happened. How could this have gone so wrong? She thought. Her vision blurred as panic set in, her chest tightening. She couldn't breathe—couldn't think straight. She stumbled backward, her eyes darting between the two women, desperately searching for something, anything, that could undo this nightmare.

Just then, the door creaked open, and Leonard stepped inside. His eyes quickly scanned the chaos before him, the destruction, the broken glass, the bodies. His gaze landed on Vanya, wide with panic, before shifting to the two lifeless forms on the floor. He paused, unsure, guilt flooding his expression.

"Vanya, wait—" Leonard started, but stopped as the full weight of the scene hit him. His voice trembled. "I didn't mean to... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

Vanya didn't respond. She couldn't. She could barely breathe. Her hands trembled as she looked back at the bloodied remains of Allison and Y/n. She felt sick to her stomach, her mind spinning. The walls seemed to close in on her, the weight of her actions suffocating her.

"You did what you had to do," Leonard said, his voice soft but firm, as if trying to calm her. He placed a hand on her shoulder, but Vanya couldn't find the strength to acknowledge him.

Vanya's gaze flickered between the two bodies on the floor—Allison, her neck bleeding, her body cold, and Y/n, severed, broken, and abandoned. Her eyes filled with tears as she choked back a sob. She fell to her knees beside them, trembling uncontrollably.

"I can't just leave them... I can't..." she whispered, her voice barely audible, shaking with grief and disbelief.

Leonard didn't wait for her to finish. He grabbed her, lifting her roughly from the floor.

"We have to go now, Vanya," he insisted, his tone urgent, almost desperate. "Now."

"No! No, I won't leave them!" Vanya cried, her voice breaking. She fought against his grip, trying to pull away, but Leonard's hands were unrelenting.

"You don't have a choice," he snapped, his voice hardening. His hands tightened on her arms, pulling her toward the door. "We can't stay here."

Vanya resisted for a moment longer, but the terror in her chest, the overwhelming guilt, and the pull of Leonard's cold insistence wore her down. She let him drag her toward the door, her legs weak, her body trembling. She couldn't even bring herself to look back at the two women she'd failed.

With one last glance at the wreckage of her life—at the bodies of Allison and Y/n—Vanya was forced into the cold air. Leonard shoved her toward the car.

"Get in," he ordered, and Vanya complied without a word. She climbed into the backseat, her mind still spiraling, unable to reconcile the image of her sisters with the wreckage she had left behind.

Leonard watched her climb into the car, but his eyes lingered on the cabin. The silence seemed deafening now, as if the house itself mourned the loss of the two lives inside. He slowly turned, his gaze heavy with guilt, and walked back inside. Every step felt like a weight on his chest.

He clicked his tongue in frustration, kneeling in front of Y/n's broken body. His fingers brushed lightly against her cold, lifeless face. There was no emotion in his eyes—only the cold, calculating gaze of someone who had learned to bury any sense of empathy long ago.

"You were gonna be something," Leonard muttered, standing over Y/n's lifeless body. His eyes glinted with a twisted satisfaction as he spoke, his words sharp, biting. "I was gonna make millions," he added with a smirk, almost to himself, as though his greed was all that mattered in this moment.

He looked down at her, his gaze scanning the broken mess she had become. "But you had to come in and risk it all... for her," he said, a bitter edge to his tone, as if the sacrifice was nothing more than a nuisance to him.

His fingers twitched, a cruel, almost mocking gesture as he bent down and plucked Y/n's severed arm from the floor. He held it in his hand for a moment, inspecting it, his eyes glinting with twisted curiosity. "I know you found out about my files on my laptop. You're not as smart as you think you are, though," he chuckled darkly. "You should've built yourself better. Would've been more useful."

He tossed the arm back to the floor with a careless motion, as if it were nothing more than a discarded object, offering a cold, humorless smile as he did.

"Well," he continued, his voice taking on a more mocking tone, "like everyone says, everything always eventually shuts down, doesn't it? And looks like in your case, it's your whole life. Sad, really."

Leonard paused, his gaze moving around the wreckage of the room, the chaos he had helped create. His expression shifted slightly, as if he was preparing to leave, when his words faltered and his body stiffened. A chilling presence filled the room as he turned back to Y/n's body, the air thick with something he couldn't quite place.

Before he could react, a cold hand suddenly gripped his neck, tight and unyielding. His breath hitched as he choked on his words, the force of the grip crushing him. His eyes widened as he tried to pry at the hand, but it held firm—impossibly firm.

The hand was Y/n's other arm, the one he hadn't yet discarded. Her fingers were wrapped around his throat with unnatural strength, her lifeless form now moving with purpose. Her neck and head twitched violently, the lines of her face glitching, her once-dying body reanimating in the most chilling way.

Leonard's face turned red as he gasped for air, his hands clawing at the arm around his neck, but it was as if it didn't belong to a broken machine anymore—it was something more. Something vengeful. Her eyes, once hollow, flickered as if they were fighting to stay connected to reality.

Y/N'S POV

I used every last bit of strength left in my system, every ounce of power I could summon to keep my hand tight around Leonard's throat. His body jerked against my grip, gasping for air, but I wasn't done. My body was broken, and yet I pushed myself harder. I forced my hand to tighten, as if my will could override the damage that had already been done.

My vision flickered, distorted images flashing before my eyes as my malfunctioning systems tried to keep up. Below my waist, there was nothing—just dead weight. I could no longer move.

ERROR: Lower body non-responsive. Limbs not detected.

SYSTEM FAILURE: Limited motor control.

Leonard's eyes burned with hate, and in that moment, I was the last thing he would ever see. His breaths were short, sharp, and desperate as he struggled against my grip.

I opened my mouth to speak, but the words came out distorted, a glitching mess that broke through the static in my head. "If... it's the last... thing I d-do... I will kill you... myself." My voice was broken, cracked, the words jagged in the air like the last breath of something that had long since died. I wasn't sure if I even sounded like myself anymore. My system couldn't handle the strain.

Voice module corrupted. Speech failure imminent.
SYSTEM WARNING: Increased stress detected. Overload risk at critical levels.

But Leonard didn't care. He hissed out a venomous curse, his hand coming up and grabbing a shard of glass from the shattered floor. With terrifying speed, he raised it high, and before I could stop him, he drove it into my eye.

ERROR: Eye damage detected. Vision module offline.
SYSTEM CRITICAL: Immediate shutdown in progress.

A shockwave of pain coursed through my circuits, but it wasn't just pain. It was a full system collapse. My vision went black, and my head started to shake, the feedback from my damaged systems echoing through my thoughts.

ERROR: Eye module damage. System unable to process visual data.
SYSTEM MALFUNCTION: Core integrity failure imminent.

I could feel my body begin to shut down. My arm, still holding Leonard, released its grip as the strength drained from me. My systems were failing too quickly to keep up.

POWER LEVELS DEPLETED: 5%
REBOOT INCOMPLETE: Unable to restore full functionality.

Leonard staggered back, clutching at his throat, coughing and gasping for breath, the rage still burning in his eyes.

I looked at him, my body freezing, unable to move, unable to fight. SYSTEM OFFLINE: No motor function detected. I could only watch as my body became a lifeless shell.

ERROR: Core functionality ceased.

"System shutting down," the message flashed one last time across my vision in red, the words growing fainter and fuzzier with each passing second.

I tried to move, to react, but there was nothing. My body, once a weapon, had become nothing more than a shell, static and useless.

ERROR: Movement failure detected.
SYSTEM FAILING: Power loss detected.

Leonard stood there, panting, staring at me with a sick satisfaction. He was victorious. His eyes filled with hatred as he observed the damage, the destruction. But even as his body trembled with adrenaline, he was beginning to realize that I wasn't done yet.

But my system was shutting off. The darkness was creeping in.

SYSTEM SHUTDOWN: All primary systems deactivated.

I couldn't keep going. I couldn't fight anymore.

I just—stopped.

And the world around me faded. A blur of sounds and shapes became nothing as I lost connection to everything.

SYSTEM COMPLETED SHUTDOWN.
