I assessed myself before I went downstairs, I was wearing a blue satin top with matching shorts, it was really soft to touch and comfortable.

I exited the room and made my way down the stairs, and truly Sephora was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for me,

"You know you could have just gone wherever you wanted I could have found you on my own."

"You and I both know you would get lost immediately you made a wrong turn."

She started walking to the right of when coming in from the front door and I followed, knowing fully well that what she just said was right.

After what felt like a long journey, which might as well have been because this place is huge, he came into a room with a dining table that could contain almost fifty or so people we went to every edge of the table and she sat down at the head, indicating with a wave of her hand for me to also sit down, and I took a seat closest to her. All of a sudden she loudly clapped her hands and food appeared in front of us. I was a mid gasp when she started talking,

"Everything you have seen me do from when you first was me till now is simply just basic magic... everything" she looked at me, waiting for me to take it all in, but to be honest this didn't really come as a surprise to me because after my sixteenth birthday I could do things  I've never seen anyone else do, and so as to not appear to be a freak or weird in societies eyes, I kept it well hidden.

"Elizabeth, I know you discovered your powers almost two years ago..." I looked at her stunned at what she just said, she continued, " but it seemed that even with all that time till now, you still haven't uncovered most of your abilities. It's quite a shame because I thought there would be no need to train you, meaning less work for me." She sighed, a quick glimpse of a disappointed flickered through her eyes, and then it was gone just as quickly as it came. I felt like I had just done the worst thing possible because of that emotion she so quickly expressed.

"How did you know that I had powers?"

"I've been watching you ever since I found you." She cut into her chicken and added some mashed potato on top of it,

"Found me," I looked up at her, making sure I made eye contact so she would take me as seriously as I was with her at that moment, "what do you mean by that?"

She sighed again before she answered my question, "Well Elizabeth," she dropped her fork and knife, finally directing all her attention towards me, "I've watched you since you were but a little girl, about five years old, in that god-awful place you call an orphanage, such savages, to be honest, shouldn't even be allowed to take care of children," she said reminiscing about it, I would have to agree with her there, it's why I left at fifteen knowing that I had at least enough money from what I had saved up from jobs I had worked at from when I was 12, to rent a cheap hotel at the safest and also unsafe part of town, then quite a little after that, I found out about my powers a day after my birthday. It was the only way I had been able to survive until now. "Anyway, I did notice that you tried to master your powers, it must have been very hard for you because even I couldn't master my powers without at least a little bit of help and you have more powers and abilities than I do, how fortunate for you." The last statement was said in an almost sarcastic tone but I chose not to question it.

"You said you found me right, so why were you even looking for me?"

"It was your mother's dying wish that I found you," her eyes showed a glimpse of sadness but again just as quickly as it appeared it disappeared, "she was my best friend, more like a sister to me...she was honestly all I had, but now she's gone and I'm going to find who killed her and make them pay," she tightened her hand into a fist and just for a moment I thought I saw her fork bend, but it must have been a trick of the eye, so I ignored it, "but anyway, I have to attend to you first, train you to be even better than me and I'm sure you can be." for the first time since I met her she smiled at me, not the type were you would know it was fake but an actual real genuine smile. I smiled back at her and with that, an understanding was shared between us, and we went back to eating.

When we were both done eating she clapped her hands like the first time she did when we first sat down but this time the empty plates and glasses disappeared.

"Be awake and ready by eight in the morning, we both have a big day ahead of us tomorrow and you need to be fully rested if you even want to so much as learn something tomorrow, good night." She turned around and headed towards the door we both came through before.

"Good night," I said in response, she nodded her head, acknowledging what I had said and she went out the door.

I better head to bed early or I won't be able to wake up, I told myself as I stood up and went in the same direction as Sephora did, after all, I was not a morning person.
