And then it happened. Qujing. Another country but slightly far from Seodong's capital. It was earlier neighbouring and sharing one border with Kimseong which is now part of Seodong. Quijing was aware of Seodong's growing power. Although not agreeing with the country's ideology and customs , Qujing didn't question or stay negative with Seodong. They knew Seodong was comparatively powerful and they also rule the trade routes of certain crops and minerals which Qujing gets from Seodong now. However due to less rainfall that year Seodong faced a little crop failure. Seodong sent Qujing an official letter about it and Qujing invited the queen to meet and talk about this in Qujing. They were ready to share water from their rivers and certain basic millets to substitute. 

Qujing's ruler King Jeon had 2 sons. The crown prince and his younger brother Prince Jungkook. At the age of 15, Jungkook was an exceptional fighter and had immense mastery in swords. The prince still learnt news skills like martial arts and was currently learning archery. One day he disguised himself and walked over the lands of Qujing. There he found a portrait seller who was selling beautiful portraits. Jungkook stopped by and asked him about a portrait that he was holding. 

"Oh this is drawn by the sophisticated prince Taehyung. It's the queen of Seodong, Queen Y/n." He explained. Taehyung drew so so many paintings that he decided to sell some of them to spread the beauty of his queen. He sold them in the earlier Kimseong area and soon the seller crossed borders to make sale after the drought issue since nobody bought the portraits. After all then food was the priority. Who would've thought it would reach the eyes of her future husband. Jungkook was mesmerized by the aura of the queen. He had never seen such a posture. The queen was in a fighting stance and he couldn't take his eyes off her. He bought the painting and secretly kept it in his room. Each day he looked at the older woman's picture and wondered if he could ever see her face-to-face. The day he realized the queen from Seodong was arriving to Qujing he couldn't contain his excitement. 

As the day came when the gates announced the arrival of the queen and her people, the prince couldn't stop himself from sprinting to the balconies to see how she looked. The queen was in open on a huge black horse before she jumped off and walked proudly inside. Jungkook immediately rushed to the hall to greet the queen. After 3 months of only seeing her portrait each night, now he could see her. Finally stopping he saw her face to face as she stood there. The queen's eyes locked eyes with him and she gently smiled with a slight nod as if to acknowledge the young prince. After that she looked away. But this interaction was everything Jungkook could ask for. 

He felt his heart beat faster. The portrait had a serious look on the queen's face, however Jungkook fell in love with the queen's smile. "Greetings to the queen of Seodong! I am the second prince of Qujing! My name is Jeon Jungkook. It's a pleasure to meet you." Jungkook added excitedly. The queen looked slightly surprised as she was not expecting such an enthusiastic response. However she smiled again and spoke, "Pleasured to meet you too prince Jungkook. Thank you." She added elegantly. 

"That prince has certainly fallen for you my queen." Namjoon whispered who was next to Y/n. Y/n simply stared at Namjoon for a second before looking ahead, ignoring him. The king and the rest of the royal family greeted the queen and her guests before seating them on the table to serve dinner. Jungkook saw a spot next the queen being empty. He was relieved that the spot was neither to be taken by the crown prince or the king so he happily filled it. Taehyung who was coming to sit there huffed silently before locking eyes with the queen. "It's just for now." She added softly and Taehyung sat on another seat. 

"I hope it's not just for now." Jungkook thought as he stared at the queen again.
