Meet The Banes of My Existence as a Writer

Man it's hard to type when your hands get all shaky for no reason. It's bad enough when there is a reason, but none? It sucks. But that's not one of the bane's, it doesn't happen often enough.

First, meet Writer's Block. She's a selfish, stuck-up, unforgiving another-word-for-a-female-dog. She will come up behind you unexpectedly and pluck the inspiration, motivation, and drive right out of your brain, then take you ideas and general creativity just because she can. She's incredibly stubborn and will not budge unless you really muscle past her. Or she'll just suddenly disappear to give you a false sense of security and then come back with a vengeance. She's completely unpredictable and definitely a bully. She'll taunt you too. Her favorite method is to give you a moment of motivation but still keep your ideas so you want to write but have no clue what to write. She definitely wears designer clothes that she bought with her parent's money and eats weird rich people food that isn't actually worth the price.

Next up we have Overwhelming Abundance. Sometimes she teams up with WB to make life extra miserable. She walks in and pelts you with so many different ideas that you can't even look at a doc or a piece of paper. She's loud and obnoxious with a super short attention span. She doesn't care if you want to sleep or are trying to focus on something else, she'll still be yapping away. She's all talk and no action and makes sure you are too. She wears pajamas 24/7 and only consumes Starbucks.

There's also Distraction. She acts like your friend but she's faking. She'll say that she wants to help with your Writer's Block issue and the next thing you know you're binge-watching YouTube or Netlix until 4 am when you fully intended to write all night. She never suggests reading or going outside because that would actually help. She will do everything she can to keep you from trying to get any writing done. She wears lots of painfully bright pink and is always overly-cheery, and only ever eats coffee-infused chocolate.

Then of course we have her twin, Procrastination. She's mostly the same but constantly reminds you that you should be writing while she keeps you from doing just that because she likes to see you panic. She gets you to watch that new show you've heard so much about and then whispers to you the whole time about how unproductive your being. But when you try to write she does everyhting she can and eve teams up with the others to get you back to the TV. She wears only animal print and eats anything as long as it takes up time.

And we also have Self-Doubt. She criticizes your writing way more than is healthy and believes that if it's not completely perfect it's pure garbage and you should give up writing. She over-analyzes you to the point you want to burn all your notebooks and smash your laptop. She leans over your shoulder like a teacher with no sense of personal space and makes you incredibly self-conscious. She doesn't always use words either, she'll just make noises. She wears fake glasses and women's suits and is vegan simply so she can lord it over others and pretend shes better than everyone.

Anyone I missed? Let me know and I may make another part with them.
