Jordan's POV
I got out of the car and Darnel waved me goodbye, I find it strange on how nice he was actually being, and being that I like him but I also feel like this could end really badly.

I went inside and I met mom in the kitchen, cutting some fruits trying to avoid her I used my hands over my head but I was too late she Already saw me great!

"Hey honey back from school so soon and, what happened to your head did you get into a fight?" she suddenly started scolding me.

"No mom, school was great and I just fell during Cheer practice am totally fine now." I said trying to avoid more questions.

"Did you go to the school nurse? did they check you well? or do I have to check it again?" she said smiling, checking out my head.

"Geez mom, its good you know am fine, anyway why are you back so early?" I asked curiously.

"Morning shift today at the hospital, so after I was done decided to come see my babies.'' She pulled my cheeks, you have got to be kidding me.

"Am sure you're not talking about me right? But before this gets weird am going to my room now." I grab a slice of oranges she was cutting and made my way up the stairs.

"Come on sweetie let's talk, tell me about today, I wanna know everything." she said sounding desperate.

"MOM! eww stop," I screamed pausing in my tracks for a while.

"Sorry honey, you go do whatever you teenagers do I won't bother," she silently said, she sounded down, but I had bigger problem.

"Thank you!" I let out a sign making my way for the third time now. 

"Oh I almost forgot Tyler is coming back tomorrow I might be in the hospital early, so make sure you do your chores before leaving don't want him coming to meet a dirty house," she added just before I took another step back to her.

"Mom he's your son, why do you have to impress him?" I scoffed, she has this habit of making Tyler feel like the king and honestly it's getting annoying.

"He's coming back from college so no buts, do your chores and fix your room,'' she added holding the knife directly at me.

''But why should I?" I asked rudely facing her now.

"Because am your mother and, I said so. Check up on the twins before you go to your room." She added.

''Fine!" I whine loudly thinking to myself what I did to deserve such a mother.

I hate doing my chores and I don't even know why I had to, we had a dozen helpers around but apparently they're only allowed to assist us with cooking nothing more, then what's the use anyway.

I got to Mike's door and peeped with my head slightly hitting the door to alert them am here, Molly was on his bed playing games while Mike was just sitting down by the desk counting apparently weirdo.

"Hey guys." I startled them by my presence.

"Hey, what happened to your head?" they both said in unison, hate it when they do that.

''You guys good, okay cool bye," I said walking off immediately am definitely not in the mood for sibling bonding time.

"Mom! they're good, am off to my room no one bother me," I yelled on my way to the room making sure to slam my door.

I was so tired but I finally get to be alone. I changed out of my cloths and wore a grey sweatpants and a blacktop I really hated dressing up at home so this was kinda my normal outfit at home. I grabbed my headphones from the side drawer and a notepad and started playing music while I was practicing my poetry when suddenly someone my message tone interrupted my music.

I checked but it was an unknown number I didn't have it, I read the message and it said:

"Hey Jordy how you doing? and how's your head? just checking."

Who could it be and no one calls me Jordy, just then they messaged me again.

"Its me Darnel! in case you're wondering got your number from Harry."

Wait did I just receive a full on message from Darnel Hart wow and of course Harry, Harry, Harry, I am so gonna kill him, I gave a simple reply saying I was fine before turning back to my notepad.

Harry was Darnel's best friend AKA my best friend too unlike Darnel he has a great personality not that Darnel doesn't, Harry was just friendly and Darnel was the mysterious one. Harry was always smiling, gets along with everyone except Kira they just don't get along, he was the class clown always on peoples neck, he had a thick black hair and brown eyes he was much taller than Darnel though.

Darnel on the other hand was all blonde, he had brown eyes as well but he is just different, he was always quiet around school and doesn't say much sometimes I wonder how he and Harry became friends cause they are the exact opposite.

After an hour of empty thoughts and crumbled pages I decided to take a break, which reminds me I need to go see my crazy ass bestie.

"Mom am heading over to Kira's house I'll be back soon." I met her seated in the living room enjoying her afternoon I can tell.

"Make sure you're back home before dinner, your dad has big news." She turned back to the TV.

"Bye!" I grab a coat by the door and headed for the door.

''Good evening Mrs Edward, is Kira home?" I greeted her mom.

"Evening Jordan how are you? And what happened to your head?" She asked the moment she noticed, I totally forgot about that.

"I  fell during Cheer practice." I answered awkwardly playing with my hands.

'Well can I go see her?' I mutter to myself.

"Sorry about that, Kira's in her room you can go see her." She showed me in right on cue.

Phew finally!

''Thank you Mrs Edward." I walked in.

"Just call me Amy." She smiled and me and I couldn't help but slowly barf inside of me, parents always try to be nice to your friends, even I can relate.

"Hey Kiks its me am coming in." I said while opening the door but it was locked.

"Go away." I heard a bang on the door.

"Hey what's wrong Come on you can tell me, you've been acting so strange today." I tried again and it opened.

"Me strange please you started it," she buried her head in her pillows the moment I walked in.

"Started what?" I picked up the pillow by the door heading to meet her.

"I saw you and Darnel today after practice." she blurted out.

"He offered me a ride, you know since my ride ditched me why did you that?" I hit her hard with the pillow I was holding.

"Maybe Ali and Kate told me some stuffs you didn't," she said bitting her nails.

"Really that's what this is about, I only didn't tell you that cause I knew you'd get mad which you did and almost tried to kill me. You really think I'd steal Darnel from you?" I gave her the disappointed look.

"Sorry I really wasn't thinking straight," she said brushing me off

"Plus am only tutoring him in calculus." I added that just in case.

"Oh cool!" She simply said and I couldn't help but notice the sense of anger in it, so I decided to change the topic and lighten the mood.

"Speaking of boys, Tyler's coming back tomorrow." I added.

"OMG! I'm so coming over to your house tomorrow." she winked at me lightening up a bit, Kira really likes Tyler for some unknown reason and again Darnel basically every hot guy she gets a hold of I just don't get her.

"You know he's my brother right?" I said to her.

"I know its the code but am just getting close to him to you know get college boys," she said putting air quotes around the code.

"Did you get a start on the history assignment?" I asked when my phone interrupted her reply.  "Ulch it's my mom, gotta take this who stills calls in this century?" I stood up to receive my call.

"I know right." She backed me up.

Mom
"Hey sweetie come home now I need you to watch the twins."

Jordan
"But mom why? where are you going?"

Mom
"Night shift, so I gotta go hurry okay dinner's already ready so get home now."

(Hangs up)

"I gotta go mom's working a night shift today watching the twins." I turn to her sluggishly.

"Okay then talk to you tomorrow at your house " she winked at me walking me to the door.

"Twins." I called out to them when I got home, "Where's dad?" I asked when they ran to meet me.

"Tell us what's wrong or we're saying nothing." Mike protested with his arms folded.

"I fell during Cheer practice obviously." I rolled my eyes shrugging them off to go to the kitchen.

"He's changing but he'll be back any minute, we already set the table." They followed me to the kitchen too.

"I gotta ask how do you both know that's what you wanna say?" I sat down facing them.

"Okay let's eat what happened to your head sweetie?" my dad walks in right on cue.

'Why does everyone keep asking me that sn't it Normal?'

"She fell during Cheer practice daddy." the twins announced, wow my new mouth pieces.

"Your mom said Tyler is coming back tomorrow hope you all know?" he asked us.

"Yes we're so excited." they both replied at the same time again.

"Yay wohoo," I replied in a sarcastic tone.

''Jordan we'll be going  to New York for a deal." he finally announced looking directly at me.

"But dad?" I cut in, "Why must mom go with you? She's not working In your office." I asked knowing where this conversation was obviously leading to, there's no way am going to be stuck babysitting this demons.

"You'll watch the twins and that's final and don't worry Tyler will be around," he said firmly.

"This is so unfair I get my car back though." I smiled suddenly.

"Daddy how long will you and mommy be gone?" the twins asked.

"A week okay, but Tyler and Jordan will be around okay." He assured them.

"Okay daddy."

"And no, you broke the rule and your mom said a month so no car." he concluded.

"This is so unfair, am not even staying for dinner goodbye." I stood up walking away, I ran upstairs and slammed the door to my room.
