"Quite hard to fight by yourself, isn't it?"
Ash spun in a circle, seeking out the source of the voice he missed so much while simultaneously fighting off advancing Nindroids. Indeed it was hard fighting by himself, with no one to watch his back for him, "Lar?!" he called out, ripping the power source off the back of a droid.
Several droids laughed at him, making Ash whirl around, knocking them all over. He pulled the blade off his back, preparing to slice through them when another question rang out, "What the hell are you doing? They're metal, you idiot, a blade won't do anything."
There it was again. The taunting, bodiless voice of his best friend, "Matthews-" Ash sent out a flurry of attacks to the surrounding flock of enemies but yet they wouldn't go away. Ash finally had enough and he whipped around again to lash out in anger.
However this time when he spun around he continued spinning, gathering speed as a spiral of wispy grey energy gathered up around him. Ash's eyes went wide, but he continued anyway--despite being confused. Droids got pulled towards him and--with his suddenly heightened senses--Ash was able to thoroughly dispatch all surrounding Nindroids within a matter of seconds.
He spun to a stop, one knee and one hand on the ground as he struggled to catch his breath, "What the...?"
"Did you just-"
Ash jumped to his feet, preparing to fight though it wasn't needed as he saw who was there, "Lar!"
It didn't matter if he was cyborg or not. Ash was happy to see Lar and Lar was happy to see Ash as the two ran forward and hugged, "Ash you just did-"
"What's it called?" Ash held Lar at arm's length, keeping a good grip on his shoulders, "The Ninja. They called it-"
"Whowatzu or somethin'," Lar shook his head.
"You need to stop hanging out with Ronin," Ash took a step back, "Spinjitzu, I think. But how-"
"I don't know but it was awesome," Lar punched Ash's shoulder, "You shoulda seen it, Ash. Your thing is all wispy and grey and smoky and it looks epic!"
"Fangirl later, kids," Griffin appeared in a flash of white, "We got company."
Ash and Lar turned around to see a mass of colour moving towards them and Lar waved a hand, "They're with us, Grif."
Griffin raised an eyebrow, "Half those people are on the wrong side, kid."
"Yeah Cue-Ball," Ash prodded Lar's side, "Remember? Still don't think your ribs are healed from last time."
Lar shook his head as the rest of the Elemental Masters gathered around them, "I went back to Chen's--escaped from Cryptor long enough to get underground for some help," he smiled a little bit at the thought, "When I got to Chen's it was a bit hectic, I'll admit, but that was only because our bad rep with everyone there from Jade and the Ninja and yeah..."
"But," Invìzáble's clothes materialized at Griffin's elbow, "When we saw what-"
"What they'd done to him," Gravis floated over, hovering above the grass, "Most of us stopped to listen to his story."
"His explanation of what exactly was going on," Shade's smooth deep voice joined in from the others, making the other five turn towards the rest.
"Wait, so you're tellin' me," Griffin put a hand on his hip, "That that blonde little pipsqueak managed to change all of your guys's minds about which side you're on?"
"All but two," Bolobo leaned heavily on his staff, and his words sent a chill over the group.
"Cami and Sky," Ash growled, his fists turning into smoke.
"Those two are nothin' but trouble," Griffin shook his head, "Where are they?"
"They left with a section of the droids that were guarding the Monastery," Toxikita piped up, "They know where we went and they know Lar escaped."
"They'll be doubling up everything," Lar ran a hand down the half of his face that wasn't metal and he cursed Pythor internally, "I'm their only leverage against the Ninja, so apparently I'm valuable to them."
"The Ninja are already here," Ash told him, "They're-" he broke off, not sure if he should even tell Lar where they were, "They can't be stopped unless..."
"The Digiverse," Griffin gasped and spun to face the group, "Keep any and all Nindroids away from Borg Industries. Do whatever it takes."
"And Pythor, too. He's in league with 'em, too, remember," Jacob warned, "That sneakin' snake is probably there already."
"We go," Karlof pounded his gauntlets together, growing a half size bigger as he morphed into his steel version, "We go now."
"The big guy's right," Griffin looked at each and every one of the very capable and determined people. Despite their differences, he was happy to know them and call them his friends, "Stay safe."
Ash snorted, "Don't get all sappy on us, Turner."
"C'mon," Shade groaned, darkening to the point of being just eyes, "We got shit to be doing," without a reply or confirmation from anyone else he disappeared into the shadows.
A/N:
Ash did Spinjitzu.
Fight me about it
And Shade swore
He looks like the kind to be swearing the most
So oops
