Chapter Six

"Kai! What in the name of NinjaGo have you done?!"

"Who is that, Kai?"

"Kai Jace Smith! You do not kidnap people! We don't care what your reasons!"

"That's that one who tackled me this morning. I don't like her let's throw her overboard."

"Jay Nathan Walker!"

"Sorry Nya. . . ."

She didn't care to tune in on the rest of the demands from the other room. She was more worried about the fact she was upside down, hanging like bat tangled in a spider web.

The door opened, and she scrunched shut her left eye, determined not to let the person see her, "What's wrong with your eye?"

"Nothing," she stated a bit too quickly, "Why would you care anyway, Jay."

"Oh, no, I don't care," he smirked, closing the door behind him, "But I was just curious."

"Let me go."

"Not until I ask her a few questions," the door opened and closed again, and the Spike haired one, Kai, came in, shooing Jay out, "Alone."

Once Jay was out, Jade sighed, "He doesn't like me, does he," she didn't ask, just said it with an eye roll.

"No he does not," Kai nodded once, sitting in a chair directly in front of her, so their faces were inches apart, "Why did you have a Techno-Blade?"

"A what?" she wasn't sure if she'd heard him correctly.

"You heard me," she didn't like this version of him, "Techno-Blade. Where'd you get it from?"

"I'm not telling you anything," she hissed lowly, her one open eye glaring.

"Why don't you open your other eye?!" he leaned forward, "Did I do something to it? I'm sorry if I did. . . ."

"No, you didn't do anything," she snorted, "And I got the thing from Cyrus Borg at Borg Industries this morning. I didn't know what it was, and then when I was walking down the street I got attacked by one of those stupid robots and had to throw a manhole cover at it's face to get back home."

"Wait," Kai was taken aback, "You live down there?"

"Not entirely, no," she shrugged, "It's my main way of travel though. Why would you care, anyway?" You don't like my people.

Kai couldn't think of anything to say, and just shook his head, "It doesn't matter. The one thing I need to know is why Borg gave you a Techno-Blade."

"I still don't know what that is."

"It's the weapon I confiscated from you," he explained, "We have four of them, and Borg gave us them this morning. Why would he give you one?"

She shrugged, but was that hard due to gravity pulling her shoulders towards the floor, "Beats me. All I know is that he really wanted me to have it. And he gave me a. . . . . Whatever you're wearing. A blue one, but-" she paused.

"But what?"

"But I didn't keep it," she tried to remember where she left it, "Oh yeah. Left it on the roof of Borg Industries."

"Why would you do that?!"

"Because, my people don't like Ninja and dad would skin me alive if I came back wearing one of those, looking like a Ninja. Now untie me."

Kai stood up, My people? He decided to not question it, "In a moment. I'm going to go consult with my peers."

"Way to sound casual, bra," Jade nodded at his back as he left, closing the door behind him. She let out a long, relieved sigh, "Now I can open my eye again," and so she did just that, blinking rapidly to get her vision un-blurred.

Just when she thought the coast was clear, the door opened again, and in walked the Black-Clad one, "Somethin' in your eye?"

"No," she snorted, clamping her eye shut once again as the rope slowly spun her in small circles.

"Oh," he shrugged, sitting in the chair that once held Kai, sitting just as close, "So who are you?"

"Who would like to know?" her eyes narrowed.

"Me," he retorted kindly, "Just because I'm curious."

"Well fine," she sighed, rolling her eyes, "My name is Jade. All I am going to tell you."

"Well fine, Jade," he grinned crookedly, "My name is Cole Brookstone, Ninja of Earth. I'd shake your hand but you look a little tied up. So maybe later."

"Oh, yeah ha ha," Jade shook her head with dry sarcasm, "Very funny, Cole. Untie me."

"In a moment."

"That's what Kai said. Yet, here I hang," her scowl deepened, "Why can't you untie me now?"

"I have to ask you some stuff, and then make sure you're not going to run away," he tapped her chin, "Now where did you get the Techno-Blade from?"

Why does everyone wanna know so badly?! "Cyrus forced it on me this morning, kinda threw it at me and shoved me into the elevator, where the elevator presumed to trying to kill me."

Cole laughed a bit, easing up the tension that had begun building in Jade's chest, "They did that to us too. Apparently they don't like Ninja," Cole paused, "Or pedestrians, since you're not a Ninja."

Jade tried shrugging again, "Can I be freed yet? Por favor?" she batted her eyelashes at him, but then shut her left eye again when done.

Cole stood up, unfolding his tall frame, "I don't see why not," he smiled warmly as he reached up to untie the knots. Once finished untying, Jade began to fall but just simply fell into Cole's arms. His smile went to a grin as he looked at her, "That wasn't so hard."

She clambered from his arms and went to stand in the far corner, brushing her hair over her eye so she could open it once more, "Don't worry, I will not try to leave."

"Not many places you could go if you did," Kai walked back into the room, "We're in the air, so unless you can fly. . . ." he trailed off, looking at Cole, "I talked with everyone else, and since she's not a threat she's allowed to walk around the ship and join in our daily lives, but since we all have to go back into hiding in an hour it'll be kind of awkward with just Nya, our Sensei and Misako."

Both boys gave one last glance at her, then turned and left, leaving the door wide open on their way out.

"What jussst happened?" she asked herself, letting all her verbal guard down, poking her head into the hall, looking both ways before stepping out entirely and began backing away from the cluster of voices on one end of the hall.

That is, until she backed into something with a rock hard surface, making her jump and turn around, coming face to face with a boy. Bleach blonde hair cut into a flat-top style, and he was wearing a set of white PJs with thin blue vertical stripes, "Sorry, I didn't know you you were there. . . . " she trailed off.

"No need to apologize," he smiled at her, "My name is Zane."

"Nice to meet you Zane," she nodded, "I'm Jade."

He nodded at her and inched past, "Nice to meet you as well. Now, I must go. Sensei wanted to speak with me."

She watched him glide down the hall and step into a side room, then continued on her way, facing in the direction she was walking to avoid further collisions. After a moment of walking, she came across and girl with a pitch black bob for a haircut.

The girl smiled warmly, "You must be our new guest! I'm Nya, Kai's sister. Since all the rooms are taken, you are going to be sharing a room with me," Nya grabbed Jade's arm and pulled her inside the room, "This is my bed and that's yours," she pointed at the bed across the room, "So we each get half the room."

"Thanks?" Jade questioned, going to sit on her new bed, "Beats hanging upside down for all eternity."
