On Sunday

Ronny was coming to meet Sonia's parent to ask her hand in marriage formally.

Both Sonia and Rekha were waiting for him in Sonia's house as planned.

Mr. Menon was getting ready to go to the golf course with Nair as his long weekend outing with his bestie.

After an hour or so,

As he was about to leave the house with his driver, he got a call from Mr. Nair

"Yes, Nair I am on my way. Meet you at the club."

Suddenly Mr. Menon's face scrunched and he almost slumped on the couch.

Seeing this state of their father, Sonia and Sameer ran to him.

Sameer slowly held the phone from his dad and attended the call.

Hearing the words from the other side of the phone, he too got tensed and looked at his family members in worry.

At Nair's residence

After hearing the news, the Menon family along with Rekha had immediately reached the Nair house.

Mrs. Menon clutched Mrs. Nair hand in a comforting manner and was trying to console her.

They were all seated in the living room, Sameer was looking at the figure of Vinay who was looking down clutching his hand below his chin thinking deeply.

"But, Nair, he should have informed you about her love affair. We would have avoided this proposal. He did very wrong. This marriage could have ruined these three innocent lives!" Mr. Menon said getting upset at the situation that his best friend had to go through.

Grandpa Menon was silently listening to their talks.

Sunitha had apparently eloped and got married to her long-time boyfriend by not informing her family.

Vinay had gone on a date with Sunitha the other day. As they were conversing, she told him that she had tried to forget her boyfriend but failed miserably. She told him that she was planning to get married to her boyfriend. Saying so, she broke their engagement and left from there wishing Vinay good luck for his future.

So, when he informed his parents about it, they got furious and had a verbal fight with Mukundan who apparently was too shocked and sad at his daughter's behaviour.

After an hour-long discussion, Grandpa Menon couldn't take it any longer.

So, he managed to get up from his seat and stood in front of Vinay.

Vinay saw him in front of him and slowly got up looking at his face.

"My child, you are very precious for your family. The person who will get married to you will be the luckiest person in the world. She will not only be safe but also become your shield," Saying so Grandpa patted his shoulders in a loving manner.

Vinay looked down and nodded his head.

Grandpa looked at Mr. Nair and spoke

"Remember Vasudev, I told you that day that I will take care of your boy. So, this is me keeping my promise."

He then went in the centre of the hall clutching Vinay's hand and commanded

"Vinay will get married to my dear grandchild, Sonia!"

Everyone gaped at his words, Sameer angrily got up from his seat and glared at Vinay.

Sonia was shocked and couldn't gather her thoughts. She clutched Rekha's wrist to not fall.

"Appupa...." Sameer slowly approached his grandpa to make him change his decision but stopped at the raised palm of his grandpa.

"And no one will change this decision made by me! Coz, the one who does will see the wrath of this old man!" Grandpa commanded.

He let go of Vinay's hand and marched to the front door. Vinay was just standing in his spot trying to hold his tears in.

Sameer marched at Vinay and grabbed his collar saying

"You will not get married to my sister!"

Vinay looked at his glaring stare and smirked saying

"Try me!"

Sameer was wide eyed at his words, he let go of his collar and went out of the house angrily.

Sonia who was looking down the whole time, sat down on the floor with a thud. Reena rushed to her and held in her arms.

Vinay looked at her and went towards his room without saying a word.

At the Menon residence

In the night

Grandpa Menon spoke to his son about the wedding arrangements to be in Mumbai itself, as he didn't want to delay it.

Mr. Menon had to agree to his father and called the wedding planner to arrange the wedding within a week.

Sonia was looking outside her room window and recalling the scenario that changed her entire plans.

Rekha came into her room with a glass of juice as she had skipped her dinner.

"Nia, what are you thinking?" Rekha asked her bestie caressing her hair.

Sonia looked at her bestie and asked

"When will I get peace?"

Rekha looked down smiling and clutched her bestie's wrist caressing it saying

"When you want to, it is all in your hands to find your peace, happiness and even sorrow for that matter."

Sonia huffed and smiled

Rekha hugged her and spoke

"Maybe we can find a solution among this problem, hm...?"

Sonia just hugged her back and asked her how, to which she said

"For that we should meet Mr. Yashhuu. Coz he is the only one who can help us."

Sonia nodded at her answer and slept in her arms, thinking positively.

At Nair's office

Vinay's cabin

"Hm...Keep him there. I will try to come today, if not tomorrow. But don't let him go, ok?" Vinay was instructing someone on the phone.

When Mr. Patil came inside his cabin informing him about the arrival of Rekha and Sonia.

Rekha had informed in prior to discuss the matter that had occurred the previous day and wanted to talk to him.

Vinay nodded his head to let them in.

Rekha and Sonia, both seated themselves in the opposite chairs to Vinay.

"Mr. Yashhuu, what do you suggest we should do? I mean this has halted all the plans of Nia and Ronny getting married." Rekha began

Vinay nodded his head and spoke

"But you cannot go against Appupa. He will not take any chances. He is very adamant."

"So, what do we do?" Rekha asked.

"As he wants, Sonia and I will get married," Vinay spoke in a calm tone.

"NO!" Sonia barked at him and looked up with blood red eyes.

Vinay smiled at her and asked her

"So, what do you suggest, Ms. Sonia? Do you want to go against your grandfather, hm...?"

Sonia looked here and there to find an answer.

Rekha interfered and suggested

"What if we trick them in thinking that you and Nia are getting married?"

Both Vinay and Sonia looked at her puzzled.

Rekha explained that,

"We will proceed with all the arrangements of the marriage and on the day, you are supposed to get married, we can switch the groom. Hm...?"

Vinay huffed and smiled mockingly at her.

"Rekha, it only happens in movies, not in real life, ok. It's not possible!"

"Tsk, Mr. Yashhuu! Everything is possible! We can just make people believe that you backed away from the marriage and we can make Ronny to come forward as her suitor!" Rekha explained further.

Vinay looked at her in amazement and chuckled looking at Sonia.

"And what will I get out of this, hm...?"

Rekha looked at him in confusion where he tsked and got up from his seat going towards Sonia.

He bends down to her level and asked her in a soft tone.

"Tell me, Ms. Sonia, what will you give me, if I help you, hm...?"

She looked at him in a worried and scared manner. He just scanned her face studying her features.

She couldn't take his stare and looked away.

He chuckled and backed away not moving his gaze from her. He put his hands in his pockets and spoke

"Fine, I will help you but only on one condition."

Rekha looked at him in hope

"You will have to trust me till the end without questioning my technique, agreed?" Vinay asked both the bestie looking at Sonia getting himself seated in his chair.

Rekha without taking Sonia's consent agreed and went to shake his hands in approval.

Vinay shaked his hands with her and moved to Sonia

Sonia slowly looked at him and held his hand meekly to be lovingly caressed by his veiny hands.

She immediately took her hand back.

After they left the office, he dialled his phone and started talking to the person on the other side in a very serious tone.

At the café

"What!! You are getting married to that Vinay?! Huh, what is the meaning of this Sonia?!! Did you call me here to invite me for the wedding, huh?! Tell me!!" Ronny screamed at her.

"It's not like that! Listen to me first! My Appupa had given his decision to get me married to Mr. Vinay. We will just make him believe that we are actually marrying each other, but in fact we will not!" Sonia tried to explain him.

Ronny just screwed his eyebrows in confusion. Rekha who was watching the scene was shaking her head with disappointment.

"Look, Rookie!!" She called him irritated.

"It's Ronny!!" Ronny tried to correct her.

Rekha raised her eyebrows and then shaked her head speaking

"Whatever! Look we will make them believe till the last moment that Nia is marrying Mr. Yashhuu, but at the last moment he will back out and you will come as her saviour agreeing to marry her to save the family reputation! Hm...?" Rekha tried to make him understand their plan.

Ronny was still in doubt at their plan. So, he spoke.

"What if he won't back out?"

Both Rekha and Sonia looked at each other. Rekha immediately cleared his doubts saying

"He will! Coz he is not planning to get married. Marriage is off the charts for him! He clearly told me the other day, so don't worry. He is not interested to marry anyone for that matter!"

Sonia looked at her believing her bestie who looked at her in assurance.

Ronny just nodded his head and gave his approval. But he wanted to speak to Vinay to clear his doubts.

"Fine, I will call him to fix an appointment with you." Rekha told him while dialling Vinay's number.

"Hello, Mr. Yashhu, Ronny wanted to come and meet you to discuss our plan. What time can you meet him?"

Vinay informed her that he was free in the evening and even told them to accompany him to clear out any doubts in their plans.

At the Menon's house

Sameer was getting annoyed at the whole situation. He didn't want Vinay to ruin his little sister's life.

He was aware of Vinay's anger issue and his carelessness.

He didn't want history to repeat itself.

But he was strictly warned by his parents and Appupa to not interfere in this marriage.

As they all respected Appupa's decision and didn't want any misunderstanding to arise out it.

Latha was sitting with Mrs. Menon to discuss the marriage preparations with Mrs. Nair who had come to their house.

"So, shall we fix tomorrow for the wedding shopping, as we don't have much time?" Mrs. Nair asked them sipping her tea.

They all agreed for the same and informed the other family members regarding their shopping.

At Vinay's cabin

Vinay was looking at the files of Ronny given by Appupa and trying to study the remnants of the records that he missed out.

He scrunched his eyebrows and smiled at the events which would unfold in the future.

He laid his head back on his chair and twirled his chair smilingly remembering the scenario from Sameer's marriage.

He was somewhat getting peace remembering them. He just closed his eyes and reminisced her face smiling.

Just then his assistant entered his cabin followed by the trio.
