Leafy wandered through the woods, hearing her fellow contestants laugh and cheer out in the open. BFB was probably going on...she never ended up joining...

She didn't see the point. Ever since BFDI and BFDIA, Leafy has spent most of her time trying to forget. If Firey didn't want to remember her, then what was the point?

She didn't want to sit around, memories still swirling around inside her. No. She'd rather do something to get rid of them. For several months, she tried that.

Distracting herself, avoiding contestants, walking in the woods, almost anything would help clear her mind. Walking in the woods was her favorite, however.

Seeing the trees swaying around, the light filtering through the leaves as the rays hit her face. It was a perfect scene to her. The air was crisp, as the wind blew.

Fall was around the corner. Leafy was excited. As she thought about the festivities of fall, she continued to walk through the woods, not really watching where she was going.

Leafy yawned, as the contestants' voices grew quieter, and quieter. Soon enough, the only noise was the crunching of leaves beneath her feet.

She zoned out slightly, listening to the calming breeze, and the rhymic crunching. In a way, it was bittersweet. Yes, Leafy could think without anyone distracting her...

But she wanted someone next to her. Someone to fill that soundless void. But she couldn't. No doubt, Firey had already told the new contestants about her.

Whatever chance of friendship Leafy had was burned into cinders by that flame. No one would want to be friends with her...She felt as if she was doomed to walk alone.

Suddenly, it started to rain. There was no warning, water just started falling from the sky. Leafy gasped, covering her head. If she stayed out any longer, she would catch a cold!

Quickly, Leafy ran deeper into the forest, searching for shelter. Her pace quickened, as the ground soaked up the water like a sponge. Deeper and deeper into the forest she went.

The forest started to grow darker, the rain fell harder. Leafy shivered, frantically searching for shelter. Suddenly, she stopped. A gloomy manor was up ahead.

She hesitated for a second, until thunder rumbled through the sky. Leafy ran to the door of the mansion. Her hand rose, as she began to knock on the door.

Gently, it opened, and she stepped inside. "I-I'm sorry to bother you-" She started, only to realize no one was there. Leafy looked around, closing the door behind her.

"H-Hello?" She called out, her voice echoing through the empty rooms. Not a single sign of life was present. Curiously, she began to wander around.

The mansion was fully furnished, if not a little dusty. It seemed no one had been inside in a long time...Leafy sat on one of the sofas, sinking slightly in the fluff.

"It's picture perfect..." She mumbled, placing a hand on the armrest. Sliding it across the fabric, she shook her head in disbelief. "It's almost like a doll house..."

       The creaking of a door echoed in the house, and Leafy nearly jumped. She looked towards the noise, peeking down the hallway. A new door had opened up.

       Curiously, she stood up, walking towards the door. The room seemed pitch black, but she noticed something faintly glittering from within.

       She could almost hear voices coming from the dark room, faint whispering, pulling her closer. Leafy reached for the door knob...

A clock started to chime.

        She whipped around, flinching in fear. Her eyes darted around the room, before she glanced outside. Clouds shaped like zeroes where hanging in the sky.

         Leafy sighed in relief. The contest was just over. She smiled, knowing she'd be able to go back to her apartment without anyone noticing.

        She walked towards the front door, forgetting about the dark room for a second. When she remembered, she paused, turning to face the dark room.

       "Maybe I'll come back tomorrow." She said out loud, smiling. Leafy exited the house, not hearing it shift and creak as she walked away.

(A/n): First chapter of a new AU!

My main inspiration for this AU is actually those old RPG maker horror games! Ib, Witch's House, Mad Father, Yume Nikki, but especially Ib and Witch's House!

So, fair warning: There will be mentions of gore, those chapters will contain a TW in the title. But just be warned, and I hope you'll enjoy this story!
