* Chapter Thirteen *
Lale Pov

"How may I help you?"
I looked to my side. A woman in her early thirties was standing there.
"I'm looking for a computer book that's related to security."
She nodded and said, "Follow me."
Slowly, I started following her.
I was currently in the library searching for a book. I saw the librarian's head turn toward me slightly, and I drifted my gaze away from her.
After couple of minutes, she stopped at a bookshelf and started looking through it. I folded my arms and waited for her patiently.
She balanced her glasses on her nose and said while handing me the book, "There you go."
I nodded and left her standing there. Finding a suitable table, I slumped myself into a wooden chair. After couple of hours of searching, I still couldn't find anything answering my question. Vexation had rippled through my blood vessels. I rubbed my eyes and took a mere peer at my wrist watch.
Oh my!
I was definitely late; it was eight o'clock after noon already. I stood up, gathered my belongings, grasped the book, and scuttled toward the librarian. She was reading a newspaper when she noticed me nearing her. A smile staggered on her lips as she inquired benignly, "Did this book help you?"

With a hopeless facial expression, I replied, "No."
I returned the book, and was going to leave when I heard her calling me, "Wait!"
I stopped and whirled around on my heels.
"What are you looking for?"
At first, I was indecisive to tell her, but then a thought came across my mind that she might help me. "I simply want to know how I can hack someone's computer."
She looked at me like I was going to commit a suicide. She approached me and whispered in my ears, "It's illegal."
I put my hand on her desk and turned my face right and then left. A perplexed expression took place on her face when I whispered back, "I know."
Abruptly, she backed off, and I smiled sheepishly.
"Okay girl. Now, you're scaring me."
I shrugged, "I'm scared too."
She looked at me like I was going insane or something, "Is this some kind of a jest?"
"I don't know."
With a huff, she went back to reading her newspaper again. I shook my head.
I can't tell her she might this report to the police.
After ten minutes or so, I was sauntering back home. My home wasn't that far. I crossed the road carefully. The only important thing I had found after so many hurdles of searching was he had a strong motives. It was illegal. He could be jailed for cyber crime, but my country's government didn't have that much tenacious grip of a law of cyber crime. I never had done any crime in my life. The person should have real intentions to track down not only me but all of us. We had done something – which I don't remember, not at all.
My phone vibrated in my pocket, and I took out my phone while standing near a book shop. Three notifications popped up on my phone's screen. I swipe my phone's screen with my finger to open the notifications.
Hana and Charlotte were texting in the group. I typed and touched the "sent" button.
LALE: Hey guyssssss
Char: Lale, how are you?
Lale: I'm fine and you?
Char: Great.
A smile spread across my face, and I slid my phone back in my pocket. Suddenly, someone rammed into my shoulder. Startled by sudden, violent force, I looked at my side anxiously. A guy was standing in front of me; his face was covered with his hood, but I could still see a wicked smile tugged on his lips.
Why on earth he was wearing a hoodies in this blistering weather?
I was going to apologize when he turned around and left me standing there awkwardly.
I shook my head. This day was turning weird. Again, my phone buzzing sound startled me again, but this time, I dismissed my droning phone and strolled straight to the ice cream shop.
I took a seat near the window. While waiting for the waiter, I took out my phone from my pocket.
My eyes become wide with horror.
Daredevils: You have to say, 'No.'
What was he talking about?
I typed hurriedly, but before I could send the message, Hana's messaged burst into my screen.
Hana: Why would I?
What were they talking about?
I scrolled up the messages and read every single message. I was glued to my seat.
Why are they even doing this?
"Excuse me, Ma'am?"
Abruptly, I looked to the intruder and heaved a sigh of relief to see the waiter.

He furrowed his eyebrows skeptically, "Are you okay?"
I nodded and said, "I will take chocolate ice cream."
He noted down my order while nodding his head and left me alone. Hastily, I grabbed my phone which fell from my hand when the waiter approached me earlier.
Lale: Why should Hana say no?
Daredevil: Because I want to. Anyways, did you find anything special on those books?
No way! How could he know?
Anxiously, I scanned my surrounding when I hadn't found anyone as a suspect.
Lale: How do you know about this?
Daredevils: Lale, I know everything, dear.
I was going to type when Hana message showed
Hana: I'm not going to say no.
Daredevils: Your time starts now, Hana. Remember, you have to complete this dare, or else...
Daredevil is offline.
Hana: Yeah like it's actually real! Girls, I think it's just some stupid prank! I'm not completing that dare, never...
Lale: I think someone is just messing with us..
Hana is offline.
I slipped my phone back in my pocket. I took a spoonful ice cream and ate it. The coldness of ice cream gave me some chills, and I closed my eyes in attempt to enjoy despite the previous occurrence.
After eating the ice cream, I stood outside the store wondering why they wanted Hana to say no.
I think Hana likes that guy.
Shaking my head, I started walking back home.
I was engrossed into my own thoughts while I was crossing the road when suddenly, I heard a loud car horn noise beeping.
Unanticipated, I looked to the road to see a car racing was coming towards me with full speed. I was paralyzed. I couldn't move.
It was coming closer and closer toward me, and then I felt an unexpected jerk like a metal. With a loud shriek coming out of me, the car hit me.

I opened my eyes slowly. My head was feeling warm like someone had just poured a hot water on my head, and then I saw him.
