A Deal
Narrator's POV
"Hah..." Oliver sighed as made his way into the house.
"Oh, cheer up bud." Peter said. "I'm sure you'll make more friends. Anyone would be lucky to have you as a friend."
"Thanks." Oliver said, making his way sadly toward the library.
"What if we play UNO?" Wade asked.
"Maybe later." He said.
"But you love that game." Peter said.
"Boys, I think it's best we leave him be alone for a while." Tony said, watching Oliver go into the library.
"You're probably right." Peter said as Oliver closed the door. "Dad, play UNO with us." Peter said.
"How do you play UNO?" Tony asked. "Do I have to know Spanish?"
"Nope." Wade said.
The three sat at the dinning table.
"The rules are simple..." Peter began.

"Hah..." Oliver sighed, leaning against the doors of the library.
Levi came to him and sat beside him.
"Sleeper is gown Levi." Oliver said. "Now I don't have anyone."
Levi turned to him and embraced him, lifting him up into the air and pinning him.
Oliver laughed. "Okay, okay. I get it." He smiled. He caressed Levi's sides. "I'm glad you're still around." He smiled. He looked below his feet.
There, below him was the desk he had set the book on. The book was still closed on the table.
"I totally forgot about that." He said, lowering himself and Levi down to the desk. "We better be careful." He told Levi as he took the book into his hands. "This thing's got some pretty powerful magic."
Levi stood back a little.
"You're right. We should open it from a distance." Oliver said. He placed the book on the floor and walked a few feet away. He formed a green aurora in his hands and used it to lift the cover up a bit, when Levi tapped his shoulder. Oliver looked at him.
Levi was pointing outside.
"Oh." Oliver nodded. "Smart. That way nothing here will be damaged." He said. "You're smart." He told Levi.
Levi floated proudly.
Oliver picked up the book and opened a portal outside. He stepped out with Levi and the book. He placed it on the ground and walked a few feet away, behind a tree.
Levi accompanied him.
Oliver used the same green aurora to slightly open the cover.
Thunder roared in the sky.
Oliver looked up.
The sky was gray with clouds. It looked like it was going to rain.
"We're fine as long as it doesn't rain." Oliver said.
>CRACK<
Thunder cracked in the sky and lightening crashed on the ground.
"AAAHH!" Oliver let out a high pitched scream.
Levi looked at him.
"I mean..." Oliver cleared his throat. "Aaahh." He said in a deeper tone.
Rain started pouring.
"The book!" He said, running over to the book and picking it up. He opened a portal and went through with the book in his hands.
Levi followed after him.
"Oof." Oliver sighed once inside the library, again. He looked over at Levi. "Are you okay?" He asked.
Levi shook himself, disposing of the few water droplets on his fabric.
Oliver looked back down at the book in his hands. "Looks like we don't any other choice but to open it in here." He said, making the green aurora again.
This time the book wouldn't open.
"Come..." Oliver groaned. "...on!" He pulled at it. "Open!" He said.
Levi watched him struggle.
"Let's see if this will do." He said, forming a small dagger from a yellow aurora and trying to pry it open.
It did nothing.
"Come on..." He groaned and tried to open it with mor force.
-Snap-
"Ah!" Oliver gasped. His dagger had snapped. "I know." He looked up.

"Argh!" Oliver slammed an axe he had found hanging on the wall of the library and slammed it into the book.
It did nothing.
He lifted it up with more force and slammed it back on it.
Th axe shattered.
"What?!" He looked at the axe.

"Here. Just a nibble." Oliver said, sticking the book into a portal he had opened in a dimension far away.
A sharp toothed creature roared and screeched from the other side.
Oliver stuck the book in a little farther to try and get the creature to bite it.
The creature hissed and bit into the book, taking it.
"Ah! No!" Oliver dove in to get it. "Ah!" He yelped, getting dragged in by the creature.
Levi pulled him out.
"Hah..." Oliver sighed, closing the portal. He had the book in his hands, covered in saliva. "Thanks."

After many other failed attempts, it started to seem like the book was not meant to be opened.
"Argh!" Oliver threw it across the library.
The book landed side down, opened right down the middle.
"You've got the be kidding me." Oliver said. "All that trouble we went through and now you decided to open?" He said, scolding at the book. He walked over to the book. "I should have you burned for this." He told the book.
Levi stood behind Oliver, observing.
Oliver picked up the book and flipped through the pages.
They were blank.
"All of this for blank pages?" He asked himself. "Hm." He closed the book again and placed it on the desk. "I think I might just go join the others for UNO." He said, turning his back to the book and walking away.
Oliver...
Someone called his name.
It was a whispery voice.
"Friday?" He asked.
There was no response.
That's right. Friday wasn't installed in the library.
He turned to Levi. "You?"
Levi shook his collar no.
Oliver looked his ear. "I must've..."
Oliver...
He heard again. He turned to the book, which had a green glow to it.
"Was that you?" He asked the book.
The book glowed green, radiating energy, bringing curios Oliver closer.
Yes
The book hissed.
Come closer
Oliver extended his arm out to reach for the book.
It's green glow was hypnotizing.
Oliver flipped opened the book.
A green aurora came from it, floating around the room.
Levi floated away to hide.
The aurora came up to Oliver.
I have an offer for you
"What kind of offer?" Oliver asked.
An exchange
"What kind of exchange?" Oliver asked.
Give me something of yours...
The aurora floated around him.
And I will give you something, or someone in this case, in return
Oliver's eyes widen. He looked at the aurora. "What would I have to give up?"

"Simple rules my ass!" Tony said as he slammed all his cards down on the table.
"You're just mad because you're losing." Wade said.
"Dad, you just showed us your whole deck." Peter said.
"I am not." Tony said.
"You called UNO like four times." Wade said.
"I was trying to trick you." Tony said.
"You can't do that!" Wade slammed his fist down on the table.
"It's a game! Rules don't apply!" Tony said, standing up.
"That's why rules are made!" Wade stood up to. "Rules aren't meant to be broken!"
"Wade." Peter said. "You break the rules all the time."
"Oh yeah." Wade said. "Rules are meant to be broken!"
"Nothing is meant to be broken." Tony said.
"Dad." Peter called.
Both, Wade and Tony, turned to him.
"I think you're wrong." Peter said, pulling out a glow stick and breaking it.
"I swear I will never understand your snowflake cul-"
Suddenly the doors to the library swung open.
Oliver stood at at the library's doorway.
"I know how to bring dad back." Oliver said.
