The doorbell rang at 5:35 PM and Hiccup jumped, scaring Astrid in the process. The blonde was settled against her boyfriend when the sound echoed through the house. They had been so focused on a documentary about Keiko, - the Free Willy star orca being set free - that they jumped, getting scared.

"That's my cue," She said and grabbed her bowl of cereals, - seemed like the only thing she felt like eating - and stood up in front of him.

Pecking his lips, she walked into their room and Hiccup stood carefully, walking towards the door and opening it.

"Bro, what took you so long?" Scott asked and walked passed his cousin, talking off his shoes and jumping into the couch the second he entered the living room.

"You wanted to talk about something?" Hiccup asked, walking into the room after having to close the door and lock it.

"Nah, really, I just came and to hang out. Dad kicked me out of the house for an hour or two so I can't return until-" Scott looked at his phone- "It's at least 6:30 PM."

"Great," Hiccup deadpanned. "What did you do?"

Scott raised his arms. "It wasn't my fault, Hookfang chewed down on the edge of his bed and since he's my responsibility, I got to be the one staying out. I've told him so many times not to do it but he's the dumbest thing ever."

Hiccup laughed. "Accurate, Snotty, accurate," He said. "Hey, haven't I told you to not call me Snotty?" Scott, - who's real name was actually Snotlout - asked and gritted his teeth.

Suddenly, Hiccup's phone beeped and the Snapchat sound was heard. He walked over to the phone on the kitchen island.

Tapping on Snapchat, he waited until the app loaded and then opened it. Astrid. She wrote, "Who's your cousin anyway?" Hiccup smiled, snapping a picture off of Snotlout before writing, "This obnoxious thing. He got kicked out and had to crash somewhere for an hour," before sending it. 

The shaggy-haired man walked over to the couch and sat down. Another sound came and he opened it.

"Woah, how do you know Astrid?" Snotlout asked, leaned over Hiccup to look at the picture on the phone. "Woah, stop ogling, Snotlout. She's my girlfriend. Now, get off me."

"Your girlfriend? Hah!" He laughed. "I doubt it. You could never have a chance with her," Snotlout said before cocking his head. "Me though...that's another thing," He bragged. 

"If you say so..." Hiccup said and rolled his eyes. He looked towards his room with a smile. "Astrid? Mind if you come here a little?" He asked, his voice louder so she could hear him. 

"Wha..."

The blonde walked out of their room, a bowl half full with cereal in one hand her phone in her other. She plopped down beside her boyfriend, crossing her legs. 

Her eyes landed on Snotlout and she groaned. Turning her head towards Hiccup, she looked at him before her eyes landed on Snotlout again. "I cannot believe he's your cousin," She said, feeling bad for Hiccup. 

Snotlout looked at her. "Hey!  I cannot believe you're hanging with this fishbone to a cousin when you could have all of this," He said and kissed his biceps. "Well, sorry but, that's not my type. I'd rather be with a fishbone who's a hopeless romantic instead of an overconfident jackass." 

Hiccup snickered and turned his head towards Astrid, talking her hand and pressing his lips against her cheekbone. She enjoyed the kiss for a second before raising her fist. "And, if you ever try to flirt with me again, I'm gonna be the next one to put you in a nose-cast."

"Finally, he's gone," Astrid signed after seeing the door close behind Snotlout. "Tell me about it. He's a nice guy but he can be a real pain in the ass sometimes," Hiccup said and walked up to her. "I can see that." 

Grabbing his hands, she wrapped them around her waist before wrapping her own arms around his neck and burying her face into his collar. 

The radio was on in the kitchen, someone singing, "When you're scared and alone, just know that I'm already home..."

Hiccup smiled and kissed her temple, squeezing her tightly against him. She murmured something into his shoulder and he pulled back to hear her say it again. "I said; gods, I love you so much," She repeated before raking her fingers through his soft hair and kissing the side of his neck. 

Mm, he wanted to kiss her so bad. He wanted to have a hot makeout session with her. 

Grabbing her waist, he lifted her without too much effort and walked into their room, throwing her into the bed.

"You know, you should really pay more attention..." Astrid started. 

"Why?" He asked as he was about to sit down.

"You're about to sit on Toothless."

Hiccup jumped up and looked down at the cat. Astrid sat up and begun to gently stroke the cats back. Toothless' eyes cracked open, he meowed at her faintly before he moved, laying down on his back and closing his eyes again. "Dork."

"Told you so. And you didn't believe me," Hiccup said and scratched the top of the cats head.

He shifted and climbed up the bed, pushing her down. Astrid's head hit the pillow and she smiled up at him, her eyes gleaming. He leaned down and felt her arms hook around his neck and back. She pulled him down for a kiss and he obliged, going in for more than just one kiss. 

He peppered her face with kisses and put a hickey on her neck, - without any sexual tension between them. Astrid smiled when he put his head on her chest, closing his eyes. She slipped her hand under his shirt to drag her nails over his back, - which he probably enjoyed because he kept sighing and trying to bury his nose further into her chest. 

Silence fell over them for a while but it wasn't awkward.  

Hiccup then finally spoke up, "Hey, Astrid?"

"Yeah?" She asked and looked at him. Hiccup turned his head and smiled at her. 

"I love you too, you know."

The blonde smiled and nodded, pulling him up and shifting. She laid down beside him and kissed his cheeks, forehead and nose before pecking his lips. "I know, Hiccup. You have no idea how much I appreciate it," She said softly. 

"Then let me tell you that I want to love you for as long as I live. I will do anything to do that," He said, his voice becoming softer as he grew tired. Astrid smiled and hugged him around his waist, offering to be the spoon this time. 

Hiccup smiled and cuddled against her thin frame, his nose crinkled as he buried it into her chest. 

Her heart ached when she looked at him. He looked so peaceful and young and so handsome. She raised her hand and combed her fingers through his auburn mop with a smile. 

Slowly falling asleep, she had a lucid dream about Hiccup playing with two kids on a playground, laughing and joking before asking "mommy" if she wanted to join.
