A few sunrises past since BrookHeart told her brother,Rednose and his former mentor,Crowfur that's she's expecting Bolt,a rogue who stoled her heart from WolfClaw, kits. Now she has to tell WolfClaw about it so every cat will know that a loyal warrior is the father,not a rogue,who doesn't know anything about their ancestors.

BrookHeart prodded WolfClaws side."WolfClaw? WolfClaw?! Wake up!" She whispered. WolfClaw grunted and sat up groggily."What? What is it you annoying-" he looked up with droopy eyes,a few seconds past and he realized who it was. His eyes widened. Then he whispered."I-I'm sorry,BrookHeart! Uh..um..Yes." BrookHeart looked at him with amused eyes,then she tilted her head towards the entrance of the den."Follow me" she whispered. "I want to talk to you" WolfClaw nodded and yawned. He heaved himself up and followed the tortoiseshell she cat. BrookHeart turned to face him. She settled herself down and covered her front paws with her long bushy tail. "Yes? May you tell me what you wanted to tell me. Obviously there's a reason why you woke me from my slumber?" He meowed sitting next to her. Both cats were sitting on a rock. The moon shown in front of them,it's like a huge yellowish cat eye. BrookHeart sighed. She looked him in the eyes. "I'm expecting kits." WolfClaw sprang to his paws."What!" He yowled. "Are they mine! Wow that's amazing! I've been waiting for this in a long time!" BrookHeart slapped her tail on his mouth. "Shhhhh!" WolfClaw let out a breath. "Sorry. BrookHeart this is amazing. Aren't you excited." He meowed. It's obvious that he wants to blurt more things out,but he kept it all hold in his lungs. She looked at him with sad eyes. she twined her tail with his. WolfClaw looked down."Look at me WolfClaw. "His eyes met hers."The kits. They aren't.Yours."She meowed slowly sighing at the last word .then added "But promise you'll never tell no cat.these kits are going to grow up with you as their father."WolfClaw eyes widened."What?!" He sprang to his paws his fur bristling. "Who did this to you! Was it forced? I can't.Who-" "No cat did anything! It was me! I wanted to be with him!" BrookHeart cut him off standing on her paws. "What?" His eyes flashed on fury. "I know. But the father can't be here. He's a trespasser. And I need you to care for these kits as if they were your own" she looked at him with pleading eyes.'I know Bolt would come and visit.' She thought. WolfClaw eyes looked away. Then he sat down and twined his tail with hers. He looked at her. Their eyes met again. "I promise I will. But I will find this Tom and I'll kill him.No questions ask. And this i vow." He stood up and padded back to the den.

BrookHeart sat there with her ears flattened. "What have I done?" She asked herself.
