๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ข-๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐ข ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ข?
"Agent!" I heard from above me. I looked up, seeing Sero swinging above my head. He landed beside me, putting his hand on my arm.
"What are you doing here?"
"Same as you I suppose, fighting villains." I answered.
This really isn't the time to chit-chat Sero.
"But you'll be arrested if you hurt anyone! You know, quirk laws and stuff."
"I have my license remember? Police can't touch me. Besides, I plan on leaving before anyone can question me." I explained quickly. "We should help, we can talk later."
"Right!" He exclaimed, looking around.
I took off running in a random direction, the smoke making it impossible to see anything.
How big is this smoke cloud? I feel like I've been running for way too long, especially since I was supposedly in the middle a moment ago.
"Agent (L/N), you have some nerve showing up here," said a sickly sweet voice from behind me. I spun around, trying to see through the smoke.
"I've been hearing that a lot today, care to explain it?" I asked, watching as a female's figure emerged from the smoke.
She was rather curvy, but somehow skinny, inhumanly so. She wore short-shorts and a crop top that almost showed her under boob, both looking like they were from an American base ball uniform. Her hair was tied behind her, a baseball bat swung over her shoulder and she tossed a baseball in her hand.
"Like what you see? Sorry babes, you're not my type." She spoke, laughing at her own words.
"Answer my question. Why do I have nerve to be here, I'm really curious." I asked. I heard yells and shouts around me, ones of anger and pain but I tuned it out, focusing on the girl on front of me. I recognized her as Pitch, a homicidal villain who's quirk allowed her to produce a baseball bat and an endless amount of baseballs from her body.
The catch was that whenever she hit one of her own balls with her own bat, they always found their targets. Always.
"Because we're fighting about you stupid. You ruined everything for us." She sneered.
Wait a second, Pitch and Pins are both part of the League of Villains aren't they? Is this all about revenge for getting their people put away?
"This is about revenge isn't it?" I asked, cautiously stepping closer. "Because I'm the reason Tomura was put away?"
"Would you look at that!" Pitch exclaimed, "she got it!"
"What was I supposed to do, let him go? He's killed people and so have you. Those people deserve justice." I argued, narrowing my eyes at the girl in front of me.
"Those people deserved what they had coming to them." She retorted, gripping the ball hard in her hand.
"They were innocent! You know what Pitch? I don't have time to argue." I sighed out in annoyance.
"Good, neither do I," she smirked, throwing the ball up into the air and swinging her bat. They collided with a loud crack, the ball flying in my direction.
Fuck. I'm gonna get hit no matter what.
I dodged anyway, the ball curving in the air to come towards me again. I tried throwing a punch to Pitch's gut, but she put her bat in front of my hand to stop me.
The ball smacked me in the back, making me curl over in pain.
"Oh shit," I groaned, "that's gonna bruise."
Pitch just laughed at me, using her knee to hit me in the stomach. I cried out in pain, entering my head space while my eyes were screwed shut. I activated Midnight's quirk, instantly starting to release the natural chemical from my skin.
I regained my posture while Pitch was doubled over with laughter, giving me the perfect opportunity to kick her in the head. She fell over and into her knees, grunting in frustration.
I quickly got over her, holding her in place with my hand on her mouth.
"Come on, breath for me Pitch."
She tried to yell from behind my hand, scratching my arm to try and get it away. Eventually she breathed a little to much and her eyes fell closed.
"Finally," I muttered, laying her down on the road, "some peace and quiet."
I looked around me, not really seeing anyone or anything. I heard people fighting, but I saw nothing.
Is this someone's quirk? Some sort of never ending fog?
I looked all around before deciding to run in a random direction.
A shadow looked over me, causing me to look up while I ran. Dark Shadow flew above me, waving when he noticed I was looking. I smiled at him, stopping in my tracks as I heard a scream of pain ring out through sounds of fights.
I ran in the direction of the scream, coughing due to the smoke.
Seriously, who the hell has a quirk like this?
"Help!" Yelled a voice, cracking in the middle of the word.
"Shut up!" Yelled another voice in competition.
I finally saw something through the smoke, a figure pinning down someone else's body.
"Hey!" I yelled, approaching the duo. They both looked up at me, the villain pausing in his pursuits, a syringe close to his victims neck.
They were just a civilian.
"Let go of them man, they're innocent." I reasoned, stepping closer. The civilian coughed violently as the villain got off of them, letting them run to safety.
"You actually came. They all said you wouldn't but I knew you would!" The guy exclaimed, making me narrow my eyes.
"Yeah, no. I'm good homie." I put my hand to the ground, freezing the cement under his feet and it climbed his calves and thighs, keeping him in place.
The ice reached for his arms, making him drop the syringe. I kicked it away as I ran past, trying to find some end to the smoke.
"Get back here!" The villain screamed after me. I paid him no mind as I ran.
I coughed and I felt my eyes water from the smoke, finally breaking from it. I bent over on my knees, hacking up nothing from the dryness in my throat. I looked around once I recovered, running circles around the smoky area.
"Ok, this has to be a quirk." I muttered. "The smoke from the outside has a relative circumference of about twenty meters, but from the inside I could run from one side to the other in about ten minutes and not run into anyone else. So what's the quirk? Making things bigger than they appear? Come to think of it, the quirk is probably the smoke itself considering I have no clue where it's coming from."
As I was theorizing, I saw Iida approaching me from one side.
"Ingenium! What's going on?" I exclaimed. Iida stopped in front of me, pushing the visor on his helmet up.
"We still have no clue what provoked this attack, or where the smoke is coming from. Personally I think it's someone's quirk." He explained.
"I'm thinking the same thing. As for motive, I know what it is. The attackers are members of the League of Villains and are trying to get revenge for Tomura and the others getting locked away," I informed the man in front of me, startling him.
"You shouldn't be here then! You're the person they're after!"
"Too bad. I'm here to help."
EYY WE MADE IT TO CHAPTER SIXTY NINE NICE
I wanna give the reader in Vanilla a tongue piercing soooo bad.
Fun Fact: Every year when U.A. has some sort of school event or day where they talk about the true dangers of being a hero, Mirio always talks about Sir Nighteye and he always ends up in tears.
I finished writing Chapter Seventy-one and I'm so proud of the ending to the chapter oh my gOD.
Not me finally watching Haiykuu because I want to know what my readers keep referring to in my comments

Not me already having ideas for a fanfic about it even though I'm even done with the first season ๐
Reminder: I'm sorry, did someone just dead name you? Did someone use the wrong pronouns for you? Correct them. Don't be shy, correct them. You deserve that. You are who you are, and no one can change that. They can stay mad. I love you ๐๐๐
