Men, Take Your Place

Words cannot describe the delight God takes in you, His beloved sons. He rejoices when you seek His presence in the quiet place. God's thoughts for you cannot be numbered, and His love for you will never run cold. When God meditates on the future He has planned for you, He smiles, remembering the overwhelming amount of potential He has placed inside you. There has been a strong deception in where your identity lies; it has been clouded by society's expectations of how you should look, dress, talk, and behave. God delights in you, the real you, whose strength is found in Christ alone. It's time to stop listening to the deceitful lies. You are not a mistake, you were predestined to be used for a time such as this.

It's no secret that your vulnerabilities have oftentimes been overlooked. Many have convinced you that transparency is a trap set up to hurt you, so almost as if it's second nature, you habitually put up a wall to prevent the risk of heartbreak or rejection. Transparency isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of trust. I understand that society has placed outrageous standards and stereotypes on you as well. Women aren't the only ones who have been victimized by the unrealistic expectations exhibited through social media, constantly evolving trends, advertisements, movies, etc. You may be silently accommodating feelings of inadequacy that are slowly suffocating every ounce of courage you have left inside of you. Your worth isn't determined by how many likes you get on your posts, how many girls admire you, how much weight you can lift, or how much money is in your wallet. Having thousands of Instagram followers or making six figures is not nearly as impressive as living up to the purpose of which you have been called to.

Stop allowing the enemy to steal your time, peace, and joy. Why are you allowing the world to take away what it never gave you? Nothing in this world can truly give you long-lasting peace and joy, so why are you allowing temporary things like relationships, jobs, finances, or even success become your god? Stop settling for less than God's best, lift up your head and remember that you're a precious son in the eyes of the Living God, and He's called you for the eternal--not the temporary.

Why do you feel the need to violate your character in order to fit in? Why do some of you feel as if pornography will satisfy your desires, loneliness, or boredom? There is only One who can satisfy the unquenchable desires of our hearts. He died an excruciating death on the cross in order to do so. Jesus conquered sin and defeated the grave so He could be your everything and bring you true fulfillment. God has given you such an important responsibility to carry. You have a God-given assignment to work. Just look at Adam in Genesis 2:

Genesis 2:15
"The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."

Working has been a command since the very beginning. Work hard in whatever it is God is calling you to do. Don't waste another day, it's vital that you start pursuing your purpose now, despite all the doubts or questions you may have. Seek God's face so He can give you instructions and raise you up. There is someone out there waiting to encounter the God in you. There is a God-given purpose intricately woven inside of you--go chase it! Your generation needs you, and the rising future generations need you. Just think, if it only took a few of Jesus's disciples to spread the Gospel throughout the entire world, what will happen if all of you rise up to the call?

You are called to be so much more than what you may be settling for. You're called to be a David in the midst of the trembling army. God has given you the responsibility to play a major role in leading the generations back to Him. You hold such a powerful significance in the reformation of the church; we need your leadership. Your value isn't determined by your material wealth or lack of it. Your identity is worth so much more than your 'reputation.' You shouldn't feel pressured to conform to the latest clothing and media trends to feel validated. You were hand-chosen by God to change the world. Men, take your place.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
1 Corinthians 13:11
