Cyonaodh, a seven year slave for the balance keeper of Balantia, at one point attempts to run away from his life as a slave. His goal, however, seems to fail when he is caught, punished, and sold to a reclusive woodcutter.
Cyonaodh grows up in Dean's home, gradually learning what it means to be cared for and to forgive and heal. But when a unfair law is passed and orders are given to have all the lyts of Balantia rounded up, Cyonaodh is forced to run away again-only this time the stakes are so much higher.
Can he help start a rebellion? Is he capable of facing such a danger head on? Is he brave enough to do whatever he needs to? Is Cyonaodh dangerous enough to fight for what is right, but gentle enough to put down his sword when it is not needed?

This is the start of the lyt rebellion.
