Madelyn Wood loved love.

She grew up watching it all around her. Platonic, romantic, all of it. She focused on maintaining it and spreading it.

Not only did she crave love, but Madelyn was in touch with her emotions. To say she was sensitive and nurturing was an understatement. Although everyone may not agree, it was one of her best qualities. Just simply feeling greatly.

A lot of the time though, it didn't benefit her. She got hurt a lot. Her expectations for romance and the easiness around manipulating her, overthrew what she was looking for. Her own rom–com.

But this time... it did. The hopeless romantic had finally found someone who completed her. Made her feel seen, held her and adored her in every way possible. And Mads could finally say she was on cloud nine.

Out of all the heartbreak she had been through, it was worth it just to be here. All the other shit didn't matter.

Who knew that all those rom–coms she had watched as a girl would become her reality in their own ways? That she finally found a man who was worth it. And all those stories she had hoped she'd finally experience in real life, were coming true.

But reality wasn't like the movies. It was nothing like it in truth. Some things really are just too good to be true...
