Early History:
Gwendolyn is the biological daughter of Orin and Esther Mikaelson, step-daughter of Mikael, niece of Dahlia, maternal younger half-sister of Freya and Finn, the maternal half-sister and twin of Elijah, the maternal younger half-sister of Klaus, Kol, Rebekah and Henrik Mikaelson.
Gwendolyn was born a full pixie and not a halfling because she is the daughter of the Pixie King, Orin.
For over a thousand years, Klaus and Gwendolyn have been trying to break a curse placed on Klaus. Through an idea formed by Gwendolyn, they created the myth of the sun and moon curse in order to find the moonstone and the Petrova Doppelgänger, both of which were needed to break the actual curse. Their goal is to liberate his werewolf side so Klaus can sire his own super species of werewolf-vampire hybrids.
In 1492, they finally got the chance to break they curse when Klaus met Katerina Petrova, the final piece necessary to break the curse. However, Katerina managed to foil the Klaus' plans to use her in the sacrifice by turning into a vampire. For the next 500 years, Klaus searched for a way to break the curse without the doppelgänger, forcing generations of witches to help him. During his search for a way to break the curse, Klaus hunted down his family and neutralized them, excluding Gwendolyn. He also hunted Katerina, who had escaped him and stolen his moonstone. However, it should also be noted that both Klaus and Gwendolyn were also on the run from their step-father, Mikael, as they both had an abusive childhood.
While she was still a fae, Gwendolyn had a complicated life. Gwendolyn was exceptionally close with her twin and half-brother, Elijah, whom she affectionately called "Eli", though this has somewhat broken down over the centuries, mostly down to her almost blind loyalty to Klaus. She was also close with her half-sister, Rebekah, and had a good relationship with Klaus, Henrik and Kol, but she did not get along at all with her half-brother, Finn, since childhood.
In her early childhood years, Gwendolyn met Orin, her biological father, who informed her of her heritage and explained her powers, which had begun manifesting the same year before he then just vanished again. Leaving her life.
However, just like Klaus, Gwendolyn had a bad relationship with their overbearing step-father Mikael who was harder on them than any of their siblings.
Gwendolyn was a victim of her step-father's physical and verbal abuse since childhood. Gwendolyn even admitted to Elijah that Mikael frightened her which made her constantly seek his approval without ever finding it. Esther often tried to calm Mikael when he became angry with Gwendolyn, but she never tried to stop him from humiliating or from physically/mentally abusing her. Orin, never being around, also earned Gwendolyn's hate, as she believed that he could, if he wanted to, save her from Mikael. These following reasons led her to resent all of her parents.
Personality:
"In the beginning, our family was human, a thousand years ago, now. Although our mother dabbled in the dark arts, we were actually just a family trying to survive in a time when it was quite difficult to do so. And, for better or worse, we were happy."
Gwendolyn is understanding, funny, mischievous, and, a little immature. Gwendolyn is quick to fall into boredom, and gets agitated by the lack of entertainment, describing peace as "hateful".
Gwendolyn has a major manipulative streak and is willing to take advantage of people to get her way.
Gwendolyn possesses a cold brutality under her innocent-looking exterior. Contentedly living outside any human moral code, Gwendolyn kills with flair, recklessness and absolutely no conscience.
She can be adorable, playful, funny, frightening, warm, chilling, vulnerable, and impenetrable. She's trouble – and she takes great pleasure in pushing the boundaries with her eternally patient brothers, Elijah and Klaus.
She seems to have a sense of humour, though it is very sarcastic and can be quite dark. Gwendolyn is amused, most notably, by the stupidity of others in comparison to herself.
Gwendolyn is the most protective towards the people she is close to, however.
At times, Gwendolyn can possess childlike behavior, throwing quiet tantrums whenever things aren't going her way and also playing practical jokes on people she comes across. Gwendolyn carries almost an innocent persona, wide-eyed and bright, finding humor in otherwise dark situations.
Much like her brothers, Gwendolyn is described as unpredictable, over-protective and stubborn, but also very kind, intelligent, empathetic, compassionate, and friendly.
She strongly believes in trust, honesty and loyalty.
She is known for speaking her mind and having a fierce temper, possibly down to her connection with fire.
Gwendolyn is very knowledgeable and deceptive in many ways. This encompasses knowledge of how to fight, wield a sword and defend herself as well as a very in depth knowledge of mythology from around the world. She exhibits an open-minded and optimistic personality.
Gwendolyn does believe in love but also believes that, at least for her, it is rare.
While Gwendolyn is capable of forgiveness, some acts such as betrayal is usually considered unforgivable by her, and even if the betrayer seeks atonement, Gwendolyn has been known to mercilessly kill them.
Gwendolyn is noted for her ability to control her more violent urges, and rarely ever so much allows her face to show its vampiric features, it is possible that Gwendolyn is ashamed of her vampire nature, and that is why she keeps her vampire face hidden.
Gwendolyn's beauty is equalled by her cleverness, which she has in abundance. Gwendolyn's strength is in her ability to win the minds and loyalties of those around her.
Gwendolyn possesses a tact and politeness that Klaus lacks.
Although Gwendolyn has had to develop many different facades depending on who she is trying to manipulate, she is shown to genuinely have a good heart, compassion, and empathy.
Gwendolyn has loving relationships with all of her family members, especially with Klaus and Rebekah.
True to her personality, Gwendolyn primarily appears dressed in a polished manner in reds and blacks, and maintains an air of refinement and inscrutability.
Physical Appearance
Physically, Gwendolyn is a very beautiful and attractive young woman with an oval face, light olive complexion, almond-shaped green eyes, and long dark brown hair. Her height is 5'6"(168 cm), and she has a slim, slightly athletic physique.
Gwendolyn often wears dresses jeans, skirts, tank tops, vests, as well as, boots, knee-high grey wool stockings in red or black, along with jewellery, topped with a red leather jacket.

Powers and Abilities:
Powers:
Gwendolyn has the powers and abilities of both fae, specifically pixie, and original vampires, both physically enhanced powers and abilities of mind compulsion. Gwendolyn is slightly more physically powerful than her maternal half-siblings, Klaus also claims that he believes her to be stronger than him once he's broken his curse, implying that Gwendolyn is a very powerful individual. As an Original Hybrid, her siblings claim that Gwendolyn is the strongest of the original vampires. Gwendolyn's powers improve with the consumption of human blood.
Super Strength: Gwendolyn is much stronger than Immortals, Supernatural Hunters, non-original Vampires, Werewolves, Evolved Werewolves, original vampires, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and Humans. She is able to decapitate other species with a single chop and shatter windows and doors with small objects. She is even slightly physically superior to the Original Vampires because of her fae heritage. Gwendolyn's strength is enough that she could kill twelve non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids single-handedly, and was able to fight and kill twenty four non-original vampires single-handedly with only some difficulty.
Super Speed: Gwendolyn's intensified quickness, agility, reflexes, and endurance makes her much faster than immortals, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids, supernatural hunters and humans, she is slightly faster than her Original Vampire maternal half-siblings, as she once said, "I'm faster than your average vampire". She is able to stop other supernatural species in their tracks and run miles in mere minutes. Her reflexes are similarly heightened.
Super Agility: Gwendolyn possesses much more superhuman stamina, flexibility, reflexes, agility and dexterity than any immortals, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids, and humans, even slightly more than original vampires. She can move, jump very high, flip, climb and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion.
Super Senses: Gwendolyn has a more enhanced sense of hearing, sight and smell that far exceeds those of any immortals, original vampires, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans.
Super Durability: Gwendolyn can take far more trauma than any immortals, original vampires, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans, without much discomfort or injury. However, like with her maternal half-siblings, she has never been dismembered, implying that her durability may be close to invincibility though she can still be hurt. Wood, and White Oak Ash Daggers do not weaken her, making her virtually indestructible.
Enhanced Healing Factor: The injuries of Gwendolyn heal faster than those of supernatural hunters, original vampires, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. She also seems to heal much more quickly when exposed to vervain, wolfsbane, or wood. She can heal/recover/regenerate from any and all injuries in a matter of seconds. Vervain or wolfsbane laced liquid has also been shown to weaken her, though she recovers from the effects much more quickly. Human blood has also known to make the healing process faster.
Immortality: Gwendolyn is even more immortal than her maternal half-siblings. With the last White Oak Stake destroyed, no physical weapon on earth can kill Gwendolyn. Nothing but immense magical power worth a hundred witches summoned by an exceptionally powerful witch can kill Gwendolyn. Despite the extent of her immortality, Gwendolyn still needs to feed otherwise she will desiccate and become immobile just like any other immortals, original vampires, non-original vampires or non-original hybrids.
Day Walking: Due to her fae heritage, Gwendolyn is immune to the lethal effects that u.v. rays and sunlight have on vampires. Allowing her to walk in daylight without the use of a day ring.
Emotional Control: Due to her vampire heritage, Gwendolyn is able to exert certain control over hers own emotions, e.g. She can turn off her humanity.
Enhanced Emotions: Because of her vampiric traits, Gwendolyn experience emotions more powerfully than humans, original vampires and non-original vampires. This ability allows her to feel emotions at hers peak regardless of hers age. Gwendolyn has been shown experience emotions as powerfully today as she did 1,000 years ago.
Audiokinesis: Gwendolyn can make a sharp ultrasonic whistle-like sound that can temporarily stun her opponents, making them clutch their ears in confusion. This is even more effective against those with enhanced hearing.
True Face: A vampire's true face is the appearance they are hiding under their normal human face. Along with the usual fangs and change of her eyes, Gwendolyn also gains glowing red irises.
Psionics: Being the daughter of a pixie, Gwendolyn has psionic powers. These powers manifest as a luminescent vapor or mist of red hue emanating from her hands and body, resembling the natural Chaos Magic she was born with.
These powers manifest themselves as reddish, glowing energy currents and mist-like shapes from her hands. When using her telepathic abilities, Gwendolyn's irises glow a dark red color. When using her telekinetic abilities, her irises glow a bright red color. Gwendolyn's powers are reliant on movement and focus, which means her enemies or opponents can stop her from using her powers by disrupting her focus or restricting her movements. Gwendolyn's powers are magical in nature, as she draws energies from other dimensions. However, she has never received formal training with her powers, so they are more chaotic and unrefined. These enhanced powers, much like her Chaos Magic, are magical in nature.
- Psionic Energy Manipulation: Gwendolyn can project energy blasts, streams, waves and bolts of her own psionic and telekinetic energy, allowing her to hit, push/pull or blow away her targets, potentially exerting enough force to destroy them. This energy manifests in any shape or form, outlining her telekinetic spheres of influence, as the energy is visible in a reddish color. When her energy hits a target, she can use her telekinesis to inflict further damage.
Telekinesis: Gwendolyn has the ability to move, levitate and otherwise manipulate objects using her psionic energy in a remote manner without the need for her energy to first be projected from her hands. She uses this energy to affect and control molecules and particles, allowing her to fully control matter and energy. Her telekinesis is powerful enough to break bones and tear muscles. Gwendolyn is able to use her telekinesis to organize the dishes in her kitchen, use it to help herself handle all the kitchen items while preparing a dinner, rebuild part of her house, break the glass of a large window, and hurl a car.
- Telekinetic Healing: Gwendolyn has displayed great degrees of precision with her telekinesis, even capable of healing by telekinetically stitching muscle, nerves, and flesh together.
- Dream Manipulation: Gwendolyn can control dreams and subconscious like vampires/original vampires. She can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming. Other effects of this ability is the distortion of reality and trapped in the dreams.
- Illusions: Gwendolyn has the power to trick the minds of others into seeing/feeling things that aren't actually happening.
- Disintegration: Gwendolyn is capable of using her energy in such an acute telekinetic way that she is able to completely disintegrate objects on a molecular level.
- Force-field Generation: Gwendolyn is able to create a highly durable barrier of energy that she can shape and conform as needed. She uses it to grab and break apart targets, protect others from enemy fire, contain a target or to cover and deflect attacks from enemies. Like any physical barriers, the barrier can be broken with extreme brute force. Gwendolyn will learn to project her energy around herself, constructing a close-to-the-body psionic armor to protect herself from extreme impacts, such as falls from great heights or blows from superhumanly strong combatants, increasing her durability to a significant degree.
- Flight: Gwendolyn is able to use this power to move through the air and simulate flight, in order to hover and safely float back to the ground. The use of this power manifests as a blast of psionic energy expelled from her hands onto the ground to propel herself up in the air, with a second blast used to slow her momentum as she approaches ground allowing her to land safely. It operates more like an enhanced leap, thanks to the force of gravity pushing her down.
Telepathy: Gwendolyn can read minds, communicate telepathically, and experience the memories and thoughts of others. Gwendolyn can scan a person's brain and finds any information she needs, including memories. She can also telepathically communicate with others (namely Damon, Ally, and Elena) and even influence non-sentiments, such as animals.
- Mental Manipulation: Gwendolyn is able to deploy a form of mental manipulation, often as a type of illusory hypnosis, using the same neuro-electric interface that is the basis of her telepathic powers. This power can be hypnotic in nature, placing he victim in a sort of trance while she viewed their memories. When using her power, her irises sometimes glow a dark reddish color, especially when she concentrates it on specific targets. When this ability is in use, Gwendolyn's reddish energy takes a more mist-like form, floating into the head of the victim in the form of neurons. The effects also distort the victim's iris coloration, causing them to shine a dark reddish color. This also allows her to control other people's actions. Gwendolyn's mental power is even strong enough to reverse the effects of compulsion. She can also manipulate the memory, thoughts, actions, emotions, and senses of others at will, as well as to induce sleep or pain and create illusions without any difficulty. Gwendolyn can also elicit fear or emotional pain in a person in the form of nightmarish hallucinations that could stun and weaken even an individual. These visions can depict things that a person fears, regrets, or general disturbances, though the nature of it is not up to Gwendolyn. She is able to know what her victim is seeing and be inside the vision with them.
- Mental Detection: Gwendolyn is able to sense where nearby people are.
- Mind Control: Gwendolyn is able to manipulate the minds of others to get them to do what she wants them to do. She does not like using this ability to make people do what she wants them to do all the time.
- Mental Link: Gwendolyn has the ability to develop a mental link with any person which remains as a connection to that individual as seen with Damon and Ally.
- Mnemokinesis: Gwendolyn can manipulate the memories individuals. She can erase, restore, or even implant false memories into a person's mind. She once threatened Damon by telling him that she could make him believe he was a six-year-old girl. Also, aside from erasing memories, Gwendolyn has the ability to restore memories as well.
- Amnesia Inducement: Gwendolyn had the ability to cause loss of particular memories and amnesia in another person or group of people.
- Pathokinesis: Gwendolyn can sense the feelings of others and alter them according to her will. With it, Gwendolyn can resolve a tense situation peacefully or, make people coexist more easily. It can also be used to enlighten someone's mood; it will be described as a subtle ability, and is very useful in resolving conflict. Gwendolyn can also manipulate the level of intensity people feel emotions, as shown when she calmed Jeremy so much that he fell asleep. She can also detect hostility and use it to her advantage. This power can work potently through a mental shield because it physically changes the emotions i.e. manipulating endorphins, adrenaline and pheromones instead of providing a false alarm to the mind. With practice, there is possibility that she can overload her targets with emotions in an offensive manner, such as inducing overwhelming fear in the target until they suffer from cardiac arrest. Certain manipulations require intense concentration.
- Telepathic Resistance: Gwendolyn has the ability to resist compulsion
- Pain Inducement: Gwendolyn has the ability to project psionic forces from her mind powerful enough to cause both physical and mental harm to her desired targets. This seems to be a subconscious thing as it has only occurred when she is sufficiently angry or scared of an individual.
"You have no idea how dangerous you are. You're supposed to be a myth. A being capable of spontaneous creation, and here you are"
Master Sorceress: Gwendolyn was born with latent magical abilities that were later unlocked and amplified. At first, Gwendolyn had no knowledge of her magical origins.
Chaos Magic Manipulation: Able to harness Chaos Magic, Gwendolyn is the realisation of the myth of the Scarlet Witch, a being capable of spontaneous creation. Her magic is primarily composed of the same red energy as her psionic powers.
- Reality Manipulation: Gwendolyn can warp reality. She accomplishes this by manipulating molecular polarity, allowing her numerous other capabilities. Gwendolyn's reality warping abilities began initially on a small scale, however, as time progressed, her powers have grown exponentially.
- Conjuration: With a snap of her fingers, Gwendolyn is able to summon anything she desires.
- Time Manipulation: Gwendolyn can control the passage of time, she once reverted a whole chicken into its egg form. Though it is implied that she could do greater feats.
- Teleportation: Gwendolyn is able to teleport to any place, as long as she knows where she is going, leaving behind a trail of red smoke as she does.
- Electricity Manipulation: Gwendolyn can turn a light on and off with her hand.
- Weather Manipulation: Gwendolyn made it rain once when she cried.
- Fire Manipulation: While experiencing contractions, Gwendolyn ignited a fire within the fireplace and caused it to intensify before dying down.
Energy Absorption/Siphoner: Gwendolyn's has the ability to siphon magic from other sources and transform it into Chaos Magic, amplifying her own magic to an even greater extent.
Faerie Blood Abilities:
Attraction: Faerie blood, including pixie blood, smells very appealing to supernaturals, especially vampires (though hybrids have admitted to it, too). The blood also increases the physical appeal of human/fairy hybrids and their descendants.
Daywalking: Depending on the amount of blood drank, vampires grow immune to their weakness to sunlight after drinking fairy blood. The effects last shortly, however, and the pureness of the blood is a factor too.
Faerie Perception: After drinking blood from a Fae other beings can perceive the effects of fairy magic.
Immunity To Faerie Magic: When a vampire has drank the blood of a faerie, they are immune to faerie magic.
Intoxication: Any vampire that drinks faerie blood becomes intoxicated with it, going into a state humans would describe as "drunk". The amount of drunkenness displayed by a vampire depends on the amount of fairy blood the vampire drank.
- Abilities
- Expert Combatant: Gwendolyn is originally a poor fighter, having no combat skills or formal training. However, after 1,000 years, she has developed a fighting style in which she can infuse her psionic energy into her hands to greatly enhance her hand-to-hand combat skills and allow her to parry attacks from bladed weapons without suffering any harm due to her psionic energy protecting her hands from damage.
Belongings:
- Necklace: Given to Gwendolyn from Klaus, the red stone necklace is said to have reminded him of her powers.
- Daylight Ring: Gwendolyn has a daylight ring though she does not need it. She wears it in solidarity with her family.
Note:
- Just like with the Immortals and the vampires in TVD, the vampires in True Blood and The Vampire Diaries are two separate species that share traits and general nature. (Nightwalkers (TVD) and Vampyr (True Blood))
