Sandhya Pov

I went towards the garden area and picked up my secretary's call. I started roaming around while talking to her.

Suddenly I heard his voice. I froze on my original place.

What is he doing here?

He was going on a business trip. Right?

He thinks that I am Sonia. It's good.

I heard his footsteps approaching closer and my heart stopped beating.

I realised his closeness still has the same effect over my body. But I won't let him control over my emotions. Not anymore!

He stood infront of me. I scanned his features. He is wearing one of his business suits. His eyes has lost his original charm and reflects pain.

Pain!

He is still thinking that I am Sonia and talking to her. I only nodded my head in response.

He forwarded his hand for handshake but I didn't forward my hand. I guess he understood that I don't want to shake my hands with him because he backed out his hand.

He said, Satvik is a great guy and will keep Sonia happy unlike him. I noticed his teary eyes when he said those words. Regret and pain is clearly visible into his eyes.

Regret! Pain!

I wish I could have made things better but the damage is already done. For few seconds I doubted on my own decision of leaving him but before I carried away with all these rubbish emotions. I control my horse of illogical thinking and reminded myself,

'He is the same Akash Goenka who choose to accuse you for spoiling his life.'

I will never forget that. Never!

He left after congratulating and successfully creating a battle between my mind and heart.

I sighed in relief and rushed to hide myself from him.

I walked towards a pillar and stood behind it. Now nobody can see me.

I saw him going towards Sonia. Shit! Did he analyse that it was me whom he was talking few seconds before? I hope not. I crossed my fingers hopefully.

I tried to analyse what both of them are talking by judging Sonia's facial expression because his back is facing my front so, I can't see his face.

Sonia spotted me hiding behind this pillar. The moment she saw me I kept my forefinger over my lips gesturing her to not say anything.

Suddenly Akash also turn around and I instantly jerked behind the pillar hiding myself completely. Shit! I wish he had not seen me.

But for how long I will keep on hiding like this? I have not done anything wrong. Soon, I will have to face him as Sandhya.

My phone started ringing and I jerked up scaredly. Oh God! I kept my palm over my racing heart and checked the caller ID. It's Mom calling.

"Hello!", I whispered.

"Adhya! Why are you whispering?", She enquired.

"Mom I will talk to you later.", I said and disconnected the call.

I peeked a bit to see if he is still here? I found the spot empty where both of them were standing and exhaled in relief. Thank God!

"Hey baby what are you doing here?", Someone said while encircling his arms around my waist.

My eyes became wide in shock. I instantly remove his hands and turn around abruptly.

"Satvik!", I said shockingly.

I guess he also misunderstood me as Sonia.

"Yes baby, me. Were you expecting someone else?", He enquired teasingly while pulling me closer to him.

Oh God! I will have to inform him I am not Sonia before he does something else like kissing.... Noooo.

"Satvik I am Sandhya not Sonia.", I said it in one go and squeezed my eyes scaredly.

"What!", He reacted and move away from me.

I opened my one eye to see his reaction. I noticed his mouth and eyes has turned wide as a shape of big round candy. I opened my eyes completely.

"Sandhya!", He said shockingly.

"Yes. San-dhya.", I confirmed.

"Oh God! You finally came.", He hugged me tightly.

I became stunned by his sudden action.

"You mad woman. Do you have any idea how much I missed you.", He scolded me while breaking the hug.

"Sorry.", I apologised.

"Do hell with your sorry. Wait! What are you doing here behind this pillar.", He enquired confusedly.

Shit! Now, What will I answer? What I am doing here?

"Again hiding from him. Right?", He said.

I looked at him bewilderedly. How did he get to know?

"For how long Sandhya? You both already suffered a lot. Now give your sufferings a break. You already dragged a misunderstanding for three long years.", He scolded me.

I lowered my head and stood there like an obedient child who is getting scolded by her teacher.

"I am not saying whatever Akash did was correct but he was not entirely wrong. There was a communication gap between both of you which created all this mess.", He said.

I looked at him sadly because somewhere! I also know whatever he saying is true.

"I agree! Akash gave up on you so easily but you also did the same thing. You also gave up on him so easily.", He said.

I stared at him with wide eyes. I gave up on him!

"Yes Sandhya you also did the same mistake. Instead of running away you could have made him realise his mistake. You could have slapped him hard for not trusting you but what you did really disappoint me.

I don't want my friends to suffer Sandhya.

I don't know about you but I had seen him crying all day and night for you, for your love.", He said.

My heart became heavy. The days of my sleepless night flashed Infront of my eyes. I remember How I use to cry all day because of his lack of trust on me.

"Punish him Sandhya but please don't go away from him. He is still waiting for his Tittly to return.", He said.

My eyes filled with tears. I shook my head in denial and took few steps backward.

"Sort out your differences Sandhya. I know you also still love him and your tears are proof.", He said.

"No I don't.", I said and ran away.

I don't know whatever Satvik said is right or wrong. Do I still love him? No, I don't want to think about this question.

I wiped my tears and kept on running. Running away from all these thoughts but due to my lack of attention on my path I collided with something hard. Shit!

I squeezed my eyes tightly and prepared myself to feel the upcoming pain but instead of getting any pain a force pulled me upward. I felt something encircling around my waist and my head rested over some hard object.

I remained on that position with my eyes still closed. I don't know why but I felt calm and secure as if I got my home back. I don't want to open my eyes and stay like this.

I felt the grip around my waist tightened and I opened my eyes abruptly. I jerked away from my saviour to see his face and it's none other than else but Akash.

While seeing his face I lost control over my unstable emotions. My eyes filled with some fresh tears and the unwanted waterfall begins.

"I am sorry Tittly. Please forgive me.", He said hoarsely.

His sentence reminded me of all my painful memories and the worst part is he is the reason behind all those pain. No, I won't let him hurt me again.

"No. Stay away from me. You can't hurt me again.", I pushed him using my palms and ran away.

I saw Dad and rushed towards him.

"Dad.", I shouted to get his attention and hugged him tightly.

"Adhya beta, Why are you crying?", He enquired worriedly.

"I missed you Dad.", I said while weeping.

"Awww! Dad missed you too beta.", He said and caressed my head lovingly.

I saw Mom coming towards our direction.

"Mom", I said and hugged her tightly.

"Why are you crying Adhya?", She also enquired worriedly.

"Just got emotional after seeing both of you.", I lied.

She wiped out my tears and kissed my forehead lovingly. I felt so lucky to have such parents in my life.

I saw Riya Mami and Karuna Mam approaching towards us.

"They don't have any idea that you are coming.", Mom wishpered on my ear.

I looked at her questioningly and she nodded her head.

I smiled and went towards them. I touched the feet of Karuna Mam. she kept her hand over my head.

"God bless you beta.", She said.

"I really need your blessings Mam.", I said and grinned.

"Mam!", She enquired.

"Oops! I mean Masi.", I said and hit my forehead.

She has instructed me many times not to call her Mam but I always repeat the same mistake.

"Masi!", Both Riya Mami and Karuna Masi said shockingly.

I smiled after seeing their shocking expressions.

"Yes, You are Mom's sister which means you are my masi. Right?", I said confusingly.

"Sannu!", Mami said doubtfully.

"Adhya!", Masi said confusedly.

"Yes.", I said.

You all might not believe what happened next? No, they didn't hug me like everyone.

You already know Mami's unique way of reacting.

She slapped me the moment I said the word yes.

My palm instantly rested on my cheek. It's burning like fire.

"Riya.", Mom said strictly.

"You stay out of it Kareena Di. It's between me and my daughter.", She warned Mom.

"But Riya...", Karuna Masi tried to say something.

"Please Bhabhi.", Mami stopped her.

Mami grabbed my wrist and dragged me with her. She took me inside a hotel room and locked the door.

I never felt so scared of Mami. When did my super Mami turned into scary Mami? I don't know what she is going to do with me. I looked at her scaredly.

Once again she showed her uniqueness and hugged me tightly. I remained stunned like a statue. Oh God! She is unpredictable.

"I am sorry beta. I should not have slapped you. I just got carried away with my emotions.", She said and broke the hug.

"Hit me!", She said seriously.

"Huh!", I reacted bewilderedly.

"Yes hit me." She grabbed my hand and hit herself using my palms.

"I failed to protect you. You went through a lot and I couldn't do anything.", She continued to hit herself using my palm and started crying.

"Mami please.", I requested and freed my hand from her grasp.

"Mami I am fine now. Whatever happened it was my destiny. Because of that incident your Sannu became much more stronger than before.", I said.

"Now stop crying. I am here to enjoy my sister's wedding not to recall all my old bitter memories. And you have full right to hit me Mami.", I said and wiped her tears.

I will have to make an announcement to everyone. Or else because of my presence they won't enjoy the ceremony and will also not let me enjoy. I just don't want to recall whatever happened in past again and again.

She nodded her head and said cheerfully,

"Don't worry beta. When your Mami is here then why to fear? I will make sure you enjoy the wedding ceremony to the fullest."

"Yeah! That's like my super Mami.", I said proudly.

She lifted up her elbow a little bit gesturing my to encircle my arm with her. I encircled my arm with her and smiled widely.

We together came out of the room. I saw Mom, Dad, Karan Mamu and Karuna Masi were roaming around in full tension mode.

I halted on my place abruptly because an evil plan took birth inside my mind. I poked Mami's shoulder and explained her my plan.

"Dad book my tickets I am going back.", I said while crying dramatically.

"What happen Adhya?", Dad enquired worriedly.

"I am a burden in this family Dad. I don't want to spoil your reputation. Please let me go.", I said while trying to sound like I am so much in pain.

"Who told you all this rubbish beta.", Mom said worriedly.

"Let her go Kareena Di. Whatever she said is true we all know that.", Mami said with strict face and winked at me.

I tried to maintain my sad face and hide my smile from everyone.

"Shut up Riya. Adhya beta it's not true. She is lying.", Mom said and glared at Mami.

"When did I say I am saying truth Kareena Di?", Mami enquired mischievously.

"Enough. Wait! What did you say Riya?", Mom enquired confusedly.

Me and Mami burst out laughing hard. Oh God! My stomach.

"Mami Why did you reveal it so soon? I was enjoying it.", I said in between my laughter.

"You both were making fun of us?", Dad enquired.

"Sorry Dad.", I replied guiltily.

"Thank you Riya. Because of you my daughter is laughing like this after so long.", Mom said emotionally.

"Your daughter! Is she nothing to me?", Mami raised her eyebrows questioningly.

"No I mean....", Mom tried to justify herself.

"I understand Di. Anyways I promised Adhya. I will help her in enjoying her sister's wedding.", Mami said.

"And yes. I have an announcement to make. For God's sake! I am here to have some good memories. So, please don't remind me of my past again & again and please behave normally around me. I need your love not your sympathy. Please!", I requested.

They nodded their heads in approval and I sighed in relief.

"Now please show me my room. I want to sleep. I am feeling very tired.", I said tiredly.

Dad showed me my room and I sprawled over my bed like a carpet. I am really very tired: emotionally, mentally and physically. Sleeping always helps me to calm down myself.

I woke up and yawned. I sit down and stretched my arms to opened up my tight muscles.

I freshened up and came out of the room. I heard the noises of laughing and talking coming out from a certain room. I went towards that room.

I saw all the ladies were sitting around Sonia and one by one making her wear the bangles. I remember this ritual from my wedding.

I sat down on an empty chair. I observed Sonia is looking very happy. So was I but.... I squeezed my eyes tightly and pushed all those past memories aside. I reminded myself

'I am here to make good memories.'

"Sandhya beta what are you doing there? Come here and make your sister wear the bangle.", Mrs Singh (Sonia's legal mother) said.

I smiled and went towards Sonia. I picked up a bangle and was going to make Sonia wear it but someone interrupted,

"Wait! What are you doing Bhabhi ji? Only married women can make new bride wear these bangles and by her appearance it seems like she is still not married.", A lady said.

I became confused. I didn't understand what to say or do. I kept that bangle back and stood up to leave but suddenly someone grabbed my wrist.

I turn my head to see who is it? It's Mahima Aunty (Akash's Mom means Sandhya's Mother in law.)

She smiled brightly and said,

"Bhabhi ji don't go on her appearance. She is my daughter in law and fully eligible for this ritual.", She said cheerfully.

"Perform the ritual Sandhya beta.", She said to me.

I looked at Sonia. She forwarded her hands towards me. I leaned down again, picked up the bangle and made her wear it.

Similarly other ladies came forward and followed my actions.

"How are you beta?", Mahima Aunty enquired.

"I am fine Aunty. You?", I enquired.

"Few seconds ago I was not but after seeing you how I can not be fine?", She said.

I blushed shyly while she came closer and kissed my forehead.

"I missed you a lot beta. Now I won't let you go away from me. If it's required! I will kick my son out of the house but I won't let you go away this time.", She said.

"But Aunty....", I tried to make her understand that there is nothing left between me and Akash but she interrupted and said,

"Who Aunty? I am your Mom did you forget that?", She said strictly.

"No Mom.", I said and my eyes filled with tears. I hugged her instantly.

I hate you Akash. I hate you so much. Because of you I stayed away from everyone but not anymore.

"Will you really kick him out?", I broke the hug and asked her hoarsely.

She nodded her head in approval.

"Do you want to try?", She asked mischievously.

I pouted my lips like a kid and nodded my head in approval.

"Okay done. We both mother daughter duo will take revenge from your idiot husband.", She said and winked.

I blushed shyly after hearing the word husband. Oh God! I need to have control over my emotions. If I will keep on behaving like this then all my determination will go in vain.
