"You okay Del?"
Alexia asked walking towards her.

"I'm fine."
Del replied, her voice clearly showing that she wasn't fine.

It had been almost three weeks since Lucas' attack, everyone was doing what they could to prepare for his next move.

Nicole was officially Del's legal guardian now, but she was still having a hard time recovering.

Alexia sighed.

"We're going to get Lucas Del."

No response.

"He's not going to hurt anyone else."

"How do you know that Alexia? How do you know that we'll be able to stop him? He's clearly more powerful than any of us, he destroyed everything we have, and half of everyone in that building is injured."

"Way to stay positive Del."

Skyler walked up to them, her headphones hung around her neck as usual, they could faintly hear the song she was listening to coming out of them.

"I know you're upset Del. Believe me I know exactly what you're going through."

Del looked down at her feet, she refused to meet any of their gazes.

"I lost both of my parents Del. After they died I had no one. None of my other "family" came for me. They didn't care what happened to me."

"You're lucky Del. You may have lost your dad, but at least you have family who will actually take care of you. And people to help you get through this."

Skyler sighed.

"Look, what I'm trying to say is, there'll be time to grieve later. Right now we have to focus on not letting anyone else die. Understand?"

"Easy for you to say Skyler."
Del narrowed her eyes at her.

"You've never had a problem with moving on after you've lost someone. You barely even acknowledged my dad's death. For you it was just, 'Oh he's gone, that stinks.' You don't even care Sky!"

Del stormed off, leaving Alexia and Skyler alone.

"Sky-"
"It's fine Alexia. She doesn't mean it."

Skyler sighed and slid her headphones back on.

"By the way, I think Conner was looking for you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. You'd better go find him, I think he was worried about you or something."

Skyler walked towards the damaged building.

Alexia watched her go.

We'd better find this guy before he does hurt anyone else.

Briefly she thought about Conner, what of something happened to him?

He'd already lost his powers.

Alexia shook the thought away. She didn't have to worry.
Conner would be fine, they'd all be fine.

"Jane?"

Jane groaned as her eyes opened, she felt awful.

"Jane! Thank goodness I thought that you were a gonner!"

Lyra smiled while Jane sat up in her bed.

"Lyra? What happened?"

"You were hit Jane."
Lyra replied lowering her head.

Jane looked around the room, well, what was left of it.

"Lucas destroyed everything. The Healing Wing is probably the least damaged part of the building."

"How long have I been out Lyra?"

"About three weeks."

"Three weeks?!?!"

"Yeah, and Lucas hit Storm, and Wanda. He has their powers too.
And..."
Lyra's voice trailed off.

"What is it Lyra?"
Jane asked noticing tears forming in her eyes.

"Lucas killed Tony."

Jane's eyes widened in shock.

Tony? Dead?

No it couldn't be. It just couldn't.

Jane laid back down onto her pillow, trying to process everything that she had just been told.

"I'll let you get some rest."
Lyra stood up from the chair she had been sitting in and left the room.

Jane couldn't believe it.
Her powers were gone, Tony was dead, how could this get any-

Jane paused.

Something was off.

She lifted her hand up and inspected it, she turned her palm away from her face and took a deep breath.

A blast of ice shot across the room, hitting the opposite wall.

Jane looked at it shock.

She still had her powers.

How? Lucas took them!

Jane froze.

She wanted to scream and call for someone, but to her surprise and shock, she didn't.

What do you want Lucas?

What if I told you that my device doesn't work on everyone?

Sometimes it only stuns a person instead of killing them or taking their powers.
