Thank you for reading! Welcome to Spiderkook in the Multiverse of Madness. This story is rated M for mature, and all mature content guidelines apply to this story. This is a sequel to Venom, but you do not need to read the first one to read this. If you haven't read Venom, here is a brief overview of what you'll need to know (I recommend reading this, but skip if you want lol):

- Jungkook had a girlfriend with ALS named Aviva. Her father, Kim Seokjin (the antagonist), went insane trying to cure her and ended up finding out Jungkook was Spiderman. In the struggle, Jungkook used his most powerful ability, a 'venom bite', to kill Jin. It was his first kill, and he regrets it deeply.

- Aviva turned up her morphine to kill herself. She didn't want to live without her father, and she didn't wish to be a burden on anyone.

- Jimin, Raven, Taehyung, and Angelina were Jungkook's best friends. Jimin was Jungkook's closest friend. Jungkook bullied Jimin mercilessly to the point where he physically injured Jimin. However, they had an enemies to gay- I mean best friends arc, so they became best friends. Jimin is dating Raven and got her pregnant, and Taehyung is dating Angelina.

- After Jungkook killed Jin, Jungkook left his friends and family behind. He faked his own death and left out of fear he'd get everyone he loved killed. He saw Jimin one year later at Aviva's grave. It was implied they'd never see each other again.

- Jungkook's most powerful ability is a 'venom bite' (hence the title of the first book being Venom). It's an ability where Jungkook can bite his victims and send toxic venom through their veins. The bite causes seizures. If left untreated, victims will die. Jungkook bit three people before: Raven, a bully named Quinton, and Jin. Jin was the only one to die from the bite. The long-term effects are unknown.

That's all, enjoy!

It had been five years since Jungkook saw Jimin for the last time, and six since he last saw everyone else he loved.

Six years since he was Jeon Jungkook. Six years ago on this day, Jeon Jungkook died. He was Park June now, a struggling waiter who lived in a shitty apartment. No friends, no family. He had nothing. In a way, he felt like nothing. All he had left was the suit he was wearing now. The carmine and black shades mixed together until he blended in with the night sky. There were tears from previous missions. His sewing skills left much to be desired, and he ended up having a faulty suit in half of his battles. Although it had been six years, he missed Taehyung. For the suit's sake, sure, but Jungkook missed Tae's guidance.

There was a fog littering the ground as he swung from building to building, the people on the streets cheering and waving as he went. Jungkook gave as many waves as he could, not bothering to speak. On his police scanner, he heard something about a bank robbery downtown. That was where he went, scouring the architect of Maryland to find the action.

That was when he landed on the ground in front of a giant bank the size of the lecture hall at his old college. It towered above him, marble pillars holding up the slanted roof with Greek designs carved into the white tiles making up the walls. Spiderman stared at the way the police were lined up and down the concrete road in front of the place, shouting orders and grabbing onto their walkie-talkies.

He dropped down and ran to the officers, pulling on his suit to help hide the holes. "What's going on?" he asked, keeping his voice a bit deeper than normal.

"Armed robbers, at least four. We have a team rounding the back to break in," the first officer said.

"I'll go through the roof, there has to be vents up there. I'll scout as best I can, but I might have to fight if I see them hurting anyone."

"Do what you have to do."

Jungkook agreed, hopping up the side of the building until he reached the top. The gravel dug into the bottoms of his suit, him searching for a vent. There was indeed a vent for him to crawl into. He ripped off the cover with his inhuman strength, slipping inside and listening for voices. His enhanced hearing allowed him to pick up on the finer details. Even tiny conversations became clear. Unfortunately, they weren't talking about anything interesting. Nothing that gave him a clue on who they were.

Spiderman went down the vent until he could peek inside the bank. It was massive, chandeliers hanging off the huge ceilings. Part of him felt sick from the riches displayed before him. It wasn't like he was very fortunate. Despite being a crime-fighting superhuman, Jungkook didn't have much going for him other than his small job. He didn't have friends, either. Why would he? The last time he had friends, he suffered for it.

Taehyung, Jimin, Angelina, Aviva, and Raven. His old friend group. The people he loved. The ones who helped him become Spiderman, or Spiderkook as Jimin called him. His heart ached at the thought of Jimin's eye smile, but he brushed it off to instead pop out of the vent and crawl on the vast floors.

It was like stepping on gold. The tiled floors alternated between a peach-like shade and a pale one, mahogany benches pressed against the back walls for people to sit and wait for their turn. The desks where the tellers would sit had glass to separate the workers from the public, but half of the glass was broken due to the robbery in process.

There weren't many people inside due to how late it was. This was one of the only banks Jungkook knew that stayed open past five, but it didn't matter. There were less than a dozen people inside, including the tied-up workers with gags covering their mouths.

Jungkook couldn't find the robbers, but he felt the building tremble. That caused him to freeze. The vault wasn't far behind the main desks, and Jungkook stared at it from behind his goggled eyes. His body was stiff. Frozen. Covered by agony. All the hairs on the back of his neck shot up as his eyes bulged, threatening to burst free from his skull. His legs felt like mush as they tried to hold him up, his knees buckling and about to send him tumbling to the ground.

What was that? His spider sense was overwhelming him. Even his nostrils flared from the putrid scent of Jungkook's own sweat. Jungkook hadn't felt such a strong threat since six years ago, back when Jin was about to hurt Jungkook's friends.

Jungkook wasted no time and jumped into action. He freed the tied-up workers and let them run without making much noise. They helped the few civilians leave, Jungkook crawling on the wall near the vault. The door was parted, but not by much. Jungkook was close enough to hear it now. Jungkook heard a whooshing sound, like wind. Seeing as none of the windows were open, Jungkook furrowed his brows.

"Boss, we know nothing about this," a male voice said.

"It's the first lead I've had in years. I'm not letting it go," another man replied. "This is a front. This whole bank. It's a front for this. I'm not stopping until I figure out what the hell this is." There was a pause. "Set up. Step four of the plan, now."

Jungkook didn't let that happen.

He heard more than enough. He jumped onto the wall and prepared to enter the vault when the sound of wind got louder. It hurt his ears as he traversed, and he peeked his head inside the vault. His jaw dropped, his hands losing their grip for a moment. After he almost fell, he stuck on the wall and stared at the entity in the middle of the vault. Whoever the robbers were, they were right. This bank was a front. It was a front to hide something. A secret. A secret Jungkook had no knowledge of until now.

In front of him, in the middle of the room, was a giant spark of energy. The vault wasn't a vault at all; it was a prison. There was no money anywhere, only cameras, thick and soundproofed walls, and glass separating the people from the entity inside. The glass, that Jungkook was sure was bulletproof, hid what looked to be a portal. Depending on which angle Jungkook moved his head, the ball of light was either a shade of rouge or pastel. Sometimes both mixed together and created a neon pink that hurt his eyes.

There were four men in the room, all of varying heights with masks hiding their faces. They were donning black suits with heavy duffel bags placed on the pristine ground beneath them. The lights planted inside the ceiling were fluorescent, burning through the room and making it seem more white than normal.

One man, seemingly the leader of the bunch, turned and saw Jungkook there. Spiderkook got into a fighting position, but the man only chuckled and snapped his fingers.

"I figured you'd be here," the man said, and Jungkook heard it then. There was a voice changer somewhere in the leader's mask. Or maybe the mask itself garbled his speech.

One of his underlings opened a duffel bag and pulled out a giant gauntlet. He slipped it on the leader's right hand, and it clicked into place. For a beat, Jungkook thought he was back in Jin's basement, staring in awe at the scientific achievements Jin accomplished. He was a genius. In a way, the gauntlet on the leader's hand looked exactly like something Jin would have made.

It was bulky, like brass knuckles except it went up to his elbow. It was dark like the rest of his suit, the edges curved as if to make the punches pack more of a punch. Jungkook found himself gulping. He fought criminals with guns, knives, axes, swords, and more. However, a machine gauntlet for punching was a first for him.

"Set up. Keep doing the plan. I got this," the leader said, going closer to Jungkook.

Spiderkook hopped off the wall and prepared his web shooters. They were clicked on his wrists, preparing for the fight. He shot first, going for the gauntlet the man had. The man dodged with ease. Jungkook flipped himself onto the ceiling and used aerial attacks. The man used his gauntlet to hide his face and vulnerable spots, meaning Jungkook couldn't attach webs to the man's legs and pull him to the ground.

That meant a fist fight was the best option. Or, if Jungkook was desperate, his venom bite. He hadn't used it since Jin. There was no point. He'd have to take off his mask and reveal his identity. Beyond that, the government was still looking out for the 'mysterious disease' that caused two seizures and one death. Jungkook had three victims of his venom bite, and he didn't want to make a fourth if he could avoid it. It killed people. At best, people got seizures. At worst, they ended up like Jin.

Jungkook dropped from the ceiling and dodged the punch the man threw. Jungkook returned it and landed a jaw shot. His next goal was the throat. With a jump and a deep breath, Jungkook slid on the ground and attempted to take the man by surprise. The man expected it. Jungkook got punched in the face by the heavy gauntlet. He went flying back, hitting a wall with his head smashing against it so hard parts of the wall cracked and broke off.

His vision went hazy. The man never came to finish him off. Instead, Jungkook heard distant voices as he faded in and out of consciousness. Jungkook attempted to crawl, but he had no sense of direction. His hands were weak. He couldn't feel them. It was like his body was separated from his mind, and Jungkook had no idea what to do about that.

While he was dazed, the man approached and tilted Jungkook's chin up. Jungkook felt a hand grab at his mask, and he panicked, his body fighting to get up. But it was too late. The man with the gauntlet was staring at him as if studying him.

"So, that's who you are," the man said, adjusting Jungkook's mask so it hid his face again. Then, he dropped Jungkook, and his head snapped back down. He had at least a concussion if not worse. Spiderkook groaned and let himself go, the darkness flooding his vision for countless more minutes.

By the time Jungkook woke up, the police were inside the building. The criminals were already gone, the vault sealed shut with no signs of forced entry. The commissioner of the local police department was called on the scene to speak with a higher-up at the bank. For some reason, the police never went inside the vault.

When it was Jungkook's turn to be interviewed, he gave a statement about how a man with a gauntlet bested him. He left out the vault or why the robbers were there. It was pointless. Besides, there was part of Jungkook that didn't believe what he saw. It looked like a portal was hidden behind that glass. A portal to somewhere Jungkook didn't know. They were in a scientifically advanced society, sure, but even Jin never mentioned the possibility of portals. So, what was the portal?

And where did it lead?
