Hi all, I had an utterly crap day today.

What a way to start this off.

Basically I fucked up on a math test and my top university choice deferred my application to their next admission round.  The grades they want for the next admission round is my calculus grade (I have a spare), which is... it's mid 80s and to be competitive I need at least high 80s or 90s preferably.  First test didn't go so well, second test probably didn't go so well, third test (Thursday) most definitely won't go so well, I'm screwed.  I can say goodbye to my top choice and shit.  I was maybe having a bit of a breakdown but don't worry about me y'all, worry about your own lives and not my stress.

ANYWAY.

Today has been shit and I want to bring some positivity into the world.

Here are some books that you absolutely need to read, and why.

So without further adieu, let's begin.  I will tag all the authors, but apparently if this book is not in your library you don't get the notification on the web version of Wattpad?  That seems odd.  Anyway...

BOOK 1: The Crown, book 2 of the Royal Duology written by Annular_Eclipse

Fandom: Miraculous

So Clippy's had The Selection going on her profile for a while (said book is currently under-editing), and she recently published this book, which is the former's sequel.  This book series basically takes The Selection series written by Kierra Cass (Clippy correct me in the comments plz) but adds new plot and, of course, Miraculous characters.  Trust me, there are lots of fanfics out there but both The Selection and The Crown are very unique, and Clippy is an amazing author whose writing style is incredible.  If you're looking for a new book series with Miraculous characters and that castle-romance theme, check these out!

BOOK 2: Close to you written by wolfy-walnuts

Fandom: Undertale

Now I've gotten out of the fandom but I make an exception with this book because it's just so damn good.  Wolfy your writing style is godly and I love the captioned gifs and art you put into the chapters, they help fit the aesthetic so well and make the book so much more enjoyable to read.  The plot of your book is super interesting too, every single chapter takes me on a roller-coaster ride.  Seriously every one of you, especially the Undertale fans, go read this book now!!!

BOOK 3: His Two Masks written by Annular_Eclipse

Fandom: Miraculous

Alright yes it's Clippy's book again.  There are a lot of depressed Adrien fanfics out there (but a lot more of Marinette Depressed fics, can someone explain???) but this one (and one you'll see down below) but the way Clippy writes just makes every emotional moment (and there are a lot of them) pop.  Every single fucking chapter makes me want to hug Adrien.  She takes an old concept and writes it in a refreshing way while also bringing awareness, definitely a good book to read.

BOOK 4: Crossing Paths written by Stars-n-Fandoms

Fandom: Pokemon

Are you looking for a Pokemon book?  Lemme rephrase.  Are you looking for a Pokemon book, set in the Pokemon universe, that is exactly like an original novel with original (non-Pokemon-character) protagonists?  If so, then Crossing Paths is the book for you!!  A story about original protagonists in the Pokemon universe, not necessarily their journey but definitely the stories of how different lives cross (like the title says XD).  Yes, there are canon characters like Gary and Ash there, but they play minor roles.  Seriously, every book on this site is beginning to feel like a giant copy-pasta, this is one of the few times I can say with certainty that this book could basically be an original novel if it weren't set in the Pokemon universe.  Plus, it helps that Cindy is just an amazing author.  Go read it!!

BOOK 5: Pokéshorts written by Stars-n-Fandoms

Fandom: Pokemon

Now I know this isn't an actual story but the little oneshots she writes in there are so well-done.  It takes a lot of skill to make something 100 words (just a guesstimate) long be super moving, and trust me, not all of those chapters are fluffy ship chapters.  A few of them are intense but so, so good!!  If you're looking for new oneshots to read, or just looking for something quick to read on-the-go, Pokéshorts is for you.

BOOK 6: At The End Of It All written by Dazed_Sphinx

Fandom: Miraculous

OKAY THIS BOOK.  THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE.  THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ, NOT JUST ON WATTPAD, BUT IN TOTAL.  Like HOLY SHIT you write like a New York Times' Best Selling Author.  I'm not even exaggerating.  Go read it and you won't even be trying to tell me to change my mind.  Every word, every scene, every plot point is utterly perfect and I enjoyed reading every bit of it.  I still can't wait for that next update.  But for all of you wondering why I'm freaking out, this book can be considered a depressed Adrien fic but it is SO much more than that.  I won't get into it but there are chapters where I'd literally (and I mean literally) be holding my breath and sitting on the edge of my seat because they're that thrilling.  GO READ THIS BOOK EVERYONE, seriously, you won't regret it.

BOOK 7: GT one shots written by sixteen1984candles

So I've probably read this book around 50 times and I'm not even exaggerating.  Y'all know how much I love G/T and this book is my comfort book.  Lots of fluff, lots of angst (plus most of it is gay and that 100% makes it so much better lmao), and I always give it a read when I'm feeling down, or just need to read something before bed.  If you love G/T or wanna see what it's all about then go check out this book.  It is sooo good. :)

BOOK 8: The Pokeband 2: The Rise to Stardom written by Turtwig19

Fandom: Pokemon

So here we have yet another original Pokemon book, I have never seen a book like it or its predecessor The Pokeband before it.  The Pokeboys form a band, the Pokegirls form a band, life goes on from there and yes, there are ships along the way of course ;).  Props to you for coming up with the idea Turt, and honestly your writing style is so unique but still so pleasant to read.  Both books are / gonna be long, but they're SO worth it!!  Go give it a read!! 

BOOK 9: Always, Marinette written by evertea

Fandom: Miraculous

So one day when the newsfeed was still a thing (rip) I saw someone vote on this book.  I went to check it out and holy shit may I just say that you moved me, author.  This book was so beautifully-written and so emotionally-moving that I may have even teared up a little, which let me tell you doesn't happen often for a book.  This book is a masterpiece, and that's backed up by its read and vote count.  Go read it, you won't regret it (well, your heart might, but oh well :P).

Honestly I just hope I can make someone smile while reading this because A) y'all deserve the praise, you are all amazing and so very talented, and B) the world needs some more positivity.  I'm just feeling bummed out guys, so I really hope that someone is having a better day than me because right now it feels like my future is falling apart.

I'd even go as far as to encourage you do to it yourselves.  If you don't have a random/tag/update book that's fine, just do it in an announcement.  Tag the author, say some nice words about them / their book / both.  Honestly it could make their day, seeing someone that actually cares about what they do.  I know I would (that was NOT me telling you to tag me that was me sharing my opinion, don't take it the wrong way ;w;).  

But yeah.  I hope you enjoyed this little chapter.  Go read those books, support the authors any way you can, and take the time to say some nice words about someone else and their book.  The world is kinda shit but we should at least attempt to share some kindness.
