Part 1:5

It was the second day of school. I got up and did my morning routine before heading out the door and walking to school.

On my way, I met up with Izuku again. I was actually a little further behind him than last time, but caught up to him when I started running and calling out his name, waving him down. He stopped in his tracks and turned around, an inviting grin appeared on his face.

"Good morning (Y/n)! You seem quite energetic today. Did something good happen?" He greeted, before we began walking together. "Ah. No, not really. It's just... I'm not too sure why, but I feel like today is going to be pretty interesting." I answer, catching my breath.

"I see..." he grinned.

"Ya know Izuku, I'm still wondering about your quirk..." I poked.

"H-huh?!"

"Your quirk. Yesterday, after the ball pitch, I was gonna ask you about it until Mr. Aizawa interrupted us with the results. When did you get it?" I raised my eyebrow in curiosity and leaned closer towards him. His face started to turn a deep shade of red the closer I got.

"U-Um.. Well... I kinda don't want to talk about it right now." He stammered, averting his eyes away from mine. "Hmm. I see... Well, don't keep me hanging too long. Tell me when you're ready, okay?" I reassured, patting him on the back. His lip curved into a nervous grin as he nodded in agreement.

When we made it to school we went to our normal lessons for all the required subjects before moving on to heroics.

-Lunch hour-

There, at the "Lunch Rush", were students from all kinds of different studies. According to the other students, the food tasted amazing and surprisingly, it came at a cheap price! When I got my food, I, immediately started looking for a place to sit. I walked around the first few tables closest to me. Nothing. I walked around a little more, and eventually found one near the back of the room. I sat down and looked at the person who was sitting on the other side across from me. "Well hi Todoroki. I didn't notice you there." I smiled. "Is it alright if I sit with you?" I ask.

"Hello (L/n). I don't mind. I'm almost done anyway." He replied, straight-faced as before.
"Oh. Guess you got here early." I reply, feeling slightly disappointed at the fact that he was nearly done. "Yeah, somewhat."
Todoroki looked up from his tray and glanced at mine before looking back at me. "I can sit here with you, if you'd like." He added.

I was hoping he'd say that. "Really? You don't have to if you're busy, I'll totally understand." I shrug, trying not to appear too needy and desperate for some company. "Well, I wouldn't have suggested it if I were busy." He replied. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. Sorry." "It's fine."

There was a moment of silence between us as we thought about what to say to keep the conversation going. "So, how was your morning?" I ask, breaking that silence. "It was fine. What about yours?" He replies. 'Not much different from yours.' Crap I don't know what to say. I didn't consider how awkward talking with Todoroki actually is. Maybe I should just let him go about with his day.

He continued to look at me as he waited for my reply. Again, I found myself getting lost in his eyes. They were so unique, I find it hard trying not to stare for too long. I noticed his posture began to look stiff. Oh crap, I did it again. Time to answer him. "Uh, mine has been alright.. What do you think about the hero course so far?" I answer, hoping to get an reply that'll further the conversation.

"It seems to be going well enough. Though I'm not too sure how to feel about it for the time being. It is only the second day after all." He retorts. "Yeah, I get what you mean. My bad, that was a dumb question." I began to feel small and unsure of myself. Why did my introverted self think I could confidently talk to him without getting awkward. I must be wasting his time. He seems bored.

Todoroki clears his throat and begins to apologize. "I apologize if I'm making you feel uncomfortable & unheard. I'm not used to talking to people for this long. I usually keep to myself."

Oh crap. I made him feel bad! Was my self-doubt that noticeable?

"No no no, it's not that. It's just, well I'm not too good at engaging in conversation with new people either." I admit, scratching my cheek. "I just thought that since were in the same class that we could be friends?" I add.

Todoroki's expression softens at this. "Oh, I see." He pauses. "Sure. I'd like that." He grins.
"Really? Er- I mean, cool." I smile, trying to seem chill. I was overthinking for nothing.

"(L/n)?"
"Oh, please, call me (Y/n)." I reassure.
"Alright, (Y/n), would you like to sit with me for lunch again tomorrow?" He asks. I notice his eyes avert away from me as he asks this.
I could tell from this suggestion that he was beginning to feel somewhat comfortable with being around me. I didn't mind his awkwardness either since it's something we both seem to have in common.

"Sure. That'd be great." I smile. He seems to be a pretty cool person once you get to know him.

When I finished most of my food, we both got up from our seats, threw away our trash, put the trays away and walked back to class together.

Our walk was going good until I accidentally bumped into someone. Again...

"Ow! I'm so sor-"

"Watch where you're walking!"

Todoroki and I stopped in our tracks. I recognize that voice. I turned around and saw Katsuki walking away.

"You could at least apologize, BAKA-GOU!" I snapped.

He stopped, turned his head and gave me a deadly glare.

"What the fuck did ya call me?" He growled.

"Did I stutter? I said you could at least apologize! Ba-ka-gou." I repeated without hesitation.

"You bitch!"

Katsuki started walking towards me while making small explosions in his hand as an attempt to scare me. I got ready to guard myself against his explosion when he got closer, but the hit didn't come. I looked up and saw Todoroki standing in front of me, restraining his arm tightly while freezing it.

"W-What the hell?! What the fuck are ya doing! Let go!" Katsuki demanded.

Katsuki was about to hit Todoroki with his free hand but Todoroki guarded himself & grabbed that one too! I was shocked at how fast it all happened.

"Unfreeze me you peppermint!" Katsuki shouted, as he struggled to free himself from the ice, but Todoroki continued to keep a firm grip.

"Are you going to try and hurt (Y/n) if I do?" Todoroki glared, but Katsuki didn't reply. Todoroki asked once more, this time freezing Katsuki's arm a bit more while tightening his grip.

"Ugh... No! I wasn't going to actually hit her in the first place! Now unfreeze my fuckin' arm!" Bakugo growled.

Todoroki started to defrost his arm without hesitation. When he was done Katsuki rubbed his arm for warmth and walked away in the other direction. I didn't know where he was going, especially since class was going to start soon.

'Probably going to go take a shit or cry in the washroom..' I thought to myself.

"Sorry you had to see that, are you okay?" Todoroki questioned, examining my arms for any injuries.

"Ah, yeah I'm ok. He didn't hurt me... Um.. Thank you for that, I appreciate it." I awkwardly thanked. I felt guilty that he had to get in the middle of that right after getting to know me a little more.

A light blush swept across his face but quickly disappeared. "No problem..." he replied. After all was said & done, we continued walking to class.

Elsewhere...

'That fucking bastard! Making me look like a weakling! Especially in front of (y/n)- wait, what the fuck am I thinking??!'

I punched the bathroom stall door in anger and heard a yelp from beside me.

"Who's there!" I yelled waiting for a response.

"K-Kacchan?" The person whimpered.

"Kacchan? There's only one person that calls me by that name and that's..."

"Deku...."

"A-Are you ok in there? You sounded pretty angry when you barged in, so I thought it would be best for me to stay quiet..." He stuttered.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP AND QUIT TALKING TO ME WHILE YOUR SHITTING! IT'S WEIRD! ALSO MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS!"

I pushed the stall door open and left, leaving that shitrag Deku in fear.

A/N: just to clarify, but Bakugo wasn't taking a shit lmao. He went to the washroom thinking he'd be alone.
